I emailed Little Furry Things in hopes of finding a dog walker that could handle my two GSDs: one with horrible walking skills and the other very reactive to dogs with a (strong) aversion to strangers. Jill emailed me back immediately saying she had the perfect employee in mind for my two.
I have to say that Rachel has done wonders with Sophie. She's getting MUCH better about walking on a loose leash instead of pulling my arm off. Max, while still reactive, has been getting better recently, too. I know both of them appreciate the mid-day break and love spending time with her. THANK YOU!
As others have said, the online booking system is great and they let me split up an hour walk so that both of them get 30 minutes. Rachel also keeps in touch with me by text, email or phone in case anything comes up and I like reading about their days on our personalized blog. Rachel has also taken some good pictures of the dogs for me to keep as an added bonus.
Highly recommended! -

I couldn't be happier with their dog walking service. Jill scheduled a meet and greet prior to the first walk to introduce us to the walker for our neighborhood. She took the time to answer all my ridiculous questions (I am a bit obsessed with my dog Yuki--in a totally healthy, normal, loving way--and won't leave her with just anyone). I always look forward to reading Yuki's blog after each walk so I can see photos and read about Yuki's hour long adventure. In addition to the personal blog, the website offers an easy, convenient way to schedule appointments.
Jill, the owner, and Owen, the dog walker, are both fantastic with Yuki. They are patient, loving, playful, and people I trust with my furry baby. I definitely recommend Little Furry Things to care for any little furry thing. -

How could I NOT give them 5 stars?
I found this company through yelp when I was looking for someone to look in on my 2 cats while I went away for a 3 day vacation. Firstly, someone answered my email questions promptly and directed me to an online site where I could book appointments, fill out an online profile, etc for my pets. Super easy and great for someone who is busy and can't be on the phone during the work day.
Mindy, my assigned sitter, came over for a complimentary introduction where I showed her around and let her meet the cats. She was great with them and asked the right questions. My cat took to her right away which I think is a good indication that someone is an animal person.
I also have anxiety when leaving my pets behind, even when someone seems great but FLT's was awesome. They confirmed my appointment with me and Mindy would send me a link to a customized blog for my cats including pictures, what they did that day, and she even used I Can Has Cheezburger speak. I loved it!
Everything looked great when I got back. She had emptied my litter champ and even swept up the area around the litter box.
They also take credit cards and can charge it automatically before your visits to make it super easy! Highly recommended! -

OK, I admit it. I am more than a little crazy when it comes to my 3 kitties. I know that no one is going to take quite the care of them that I do and spoil them as much but when I go away I need to know that whoever is taking care of them will come close.
Jill who owns the business and Donna who cared for my kids on a recent trip are great to deal with, great to rely on, and just all around great! Donna took pictures of my kids every day and posted them along with her daily comments on a blog site. Then I got an email with a link to the site every day. I could just tell from my kids' faces and body language that they were happy. And when I got home they were well taken care of, fat and sassy.
Donna also did some things around the house that I certainly appreciated.
There is nothing negative at all to say. Prices were good, service was great, updates were timely. Everything I want in a cat sitter service. And the fact that Jill employs several people so that there will always be someone available gives me peace of mind. I totally recommend them! -

Let's start with the ridiculous: They have a BLOG "written" by your pet while you're gone. So you can check in on them.
Nope. Not kidding. ttp://http://www.little-furr...
Do I need to say more? OK.
The on line booking and info updating system rocks. Mindy is my, pardon me, Jerry's #1 gal. She's conscientious, reliable, knowledgeable, willing to do all the eye-roll-worthy routines he prefers, and is easy to get a hold of.
What more could you ask for? -

Jill, the owner, knows A LOT about animals and trains her employees so all of them are continually learning about animal care and behavior. Jill is also the fail-safe: if one of her sitters gets hurt or sick, she can immediately step in because of her organized record-keeping system and familiarity with all of the clients.
Another cool thing is that your caregiver will blog and send photos so you can read about your pet's adventures when you're gone. The caregivers get to know your pet's personality and preferences much faster, because they're interacting with the pet--it isn't just feed 'em and go.
I'm writing this review because I want MY clients to use Jill if they need a dog walker or pet sitter. I lost my own cat 1.5 years ago to a 2 year battle with cancer . . . LFT allows me to channel my excess pet affection to clients until I'm in a position to have my own pet again. So, I take a job here and there, get my kitty and doggie fix and enjoy doing something completely different than my real job. And, I get to keep on learning about pets! -

Wow! Have used Little Furry Things for dog walking twice a week and pet sitting. The personalized blog posts really make me happy and help direct training for my dog. My walker Rachael will let me know if she worked on Down or Leave it! and then I reinforce her lessons when I get home. Also, my dog Bailey occasionally gets growly with other dogs, and the LFT walkers have been really sensitive and helpful with this issue. I actually was referred to them by Ahimsa Dog Training where I was taking a Growly Dog class with Bailey. I highly recommend Little Furry Things to every family with a dog home alone most of the day or during trips.

I've hired Little Furry Things three times to take care of my cats, Cooper & Starling - most recently for a five-night vacation. Their service has been responsive & reliable every time. I like that they have multiple caregivers, so that if my regular sitter isn't available, Jill (the owner) can easily find a replacement. Online booking is convenient & the daily blog entries are a nice bonus. I've used a few other pet sitting services in the past, but have had to switch due to flakiness, ridiculous cost, or the company going out of business. I hope to stick with Little Furry Things for a long time!

i HATE leaving my two kitties when i go away for vacation (an inevitable event in my inferior human life). so, even though i hate having to hire a cat sitter, i definitely didn't hate using LFT.
everything about my experience was really professional -- from communicating via phone and email with the office manager, steve, to my initial consultation visit and of course, the actual kitty sitting.
i've had negative experiences with sitters in the past who did unprofessional things like contract out to other sitters or leave litter box waste in my kitchen garbage can. so, i'm always a little wary. my two kitties seemed to warm right up to my sitter, julianne -- as evidenced by the great blog that kept me up to date on my kitties -- and during my tandem visit with jill (the owner) and julianne, they answered all my questions (even the neurotic ones) courteously and professionally.
this is definitely the most organized and helpful sitting business i've used in the four years i've had pets, and i won't hesitate to use them again in the future. thanks, LFT!
