Review from Whitney R.
Playa Del Rey, CA
Came to SLC for a wedding and needed two decently priced rooms that weren't roach infested. Little America proved to be that and more. We had courtyard rooms which resembled a higher end motel from the outside, but the rooms were pleasantly clean and non smelly inside. They even had a little vanity which I thought was really cute. The actual lobby of this hotel looks like a 5 star hotel with chandeliers and gold revolving doors. The gift shops were overpriced, but since you are so close to Downtown there's no need to get anything from there anyway. Absolutely loved the location. The trolley was right outside and you could pretty much walk anywhere within 10-15 minutes. Stumbling home from the bars was a breeze. For the price and location I would definitely stay there again.
The Sunday brunch was just ok. Typical buffet food and overpriced if you're not a big eater. -

Its good food. Nothing amazing, but if you want a good priced, conservative, tasty meal, Little America is a good one. We always hit it up when we go up North.
I really like their breakfast buffet if you have $20 to drop. Their belgian waffle with strawberries, bananas, and whipped cream is a breakfast staple for me at the hotel.
my brother really likes the open face roast beef sandwich at lunch -

A decent hotel with a large number of rooms located in downtown Salt Lake. It's a series of multiple buildings surrounding the main building in a motel-like design. The central lobby building is quite nice. The rooms are good-sized and decorated in a pastel, Laura Ashley style that isn't for everyone but tolerable for a night or two. Parking is available near the various buildings or valet is an option. Various restaurants are close by and the light rail is near.

I love this hotel. The shared areas of the hotel are gorgeous. The service is fantastic. The rooms are very traditional and nicely appointed. Don't expect a modern, sleek guest room. Think more "bed and breakfast". Nice, but traditional.
I grew up going to brunch here on the weekends and always looked forward to it. I'll refrain from reviewing those brunches since my taste-buds have become more refined with age but my memory has not. -
Review from Crystal H.
Your grandma would like it here. It's what I imagine parts of the Titanic to look like. Large grounds, lots of banquet rooms, little gift shops, a coffee bar, and lemonized water greet you, along with the chandeliers, arm chairs, and the rest of the turn of the century decor.
The tower rooms are huge. The beds are comfortable, the pillows are modest in size and the free wi-fi works. Even the rooms in the annexed courtyard rooms are big. Why I need a vanity outside of the bathroom and one inside is beyond me. But hey - at least i could really spread out my monkey toothbrush holder, my plastic baggie of airplane approved toiletries and still have room to keep a couple of towels on the counter top. I wished they would splurge on some name brand -- or at least higher quality -- hotel toiletries. The soap is of the caliber that leaves you feeling so squeaky clean that you literally squeak. Ouch!
And it was on my second stay, that I discovered a strong love for card keys in hotels. It not that i don't appreciate the "technologically forward" design of a electronic key, that looks like an old fashioned key, it's just that it's too easy to misplace and I would imagine costs more to replace than a plastic magnetic strip.
If you can, go for the tower - the views are stunning from up there. And if you're in the courtyard suites, you might have a very shadowy stay depending on the room. Mine let in only an ounce of daylight during the day. Needless to say, I was craving sunshine! -

After reading reviews on here I booked a room in the tower. I called ahead twice to request 16 or 17th floor room. I am disappointed. I got 15th floor, no balcony. Also no bell service upon arrival. Lastly there is annoying construction right next to my room. If I was going to do this again, id go somewhere else.

This is a very nice hotel -- even the "motel" part that I stayed in. The service is exceptional, the attention to detail is excellent, and it is a well-run, efficient operation.
If you stay in the motel-side, you may want to be mindful about where your room is situated. Rooms facing the busy downtown streets are much noisier. I had such a room, and it was particularly bad because I arrived around rush hour. I could hear every car on the road. I asked to be moved, and the receptionist did an excellent job of finding me a much quieter room, from which I heard nothing.
The fitness center is good.. The operator always address the individual by name, which I thought was a classy touch.
Again, great hotel, very affordable, and right downtown. I paid more for a generic Holiday Inn Express than I did for my room here, and there is no comparison. Highly recommended. -

Highly impressed with the Tower rooms and the conference rooms. Stayed here for the Omniture Summit 2011 and had a great time. Most impressed with the huuugggeeee bathrooms with even larger, beautiful powerder/changing rooms. wowowowowowow!
Customer Service was also very friendly. Thanks for a great stay Little America! -

Little America rooms are very quaint and elegant in a turn of the century kind of style. These aren't small, tight modern designs. Oh, no. The rooms here are spacious and gracious with a separate sitting area featuring lovely settees and armchairs, a roomy bed with multiple pillows and comforters, a bath area that is comprised of two rooms - one for "powering your nose" and dressing and a second that is the shower and garden tub.
With quality like this you would of course expect the muted tones and polite service that the hotel decoration and staff exude. Considering it's in the downtown area of Salt Lake, I also feel the price was quite reasonable for my stay - under $200 per night was the going rate. And the surrounding mountain views were nothing less than gorgeous.Listed in: Hotels Around the United…, Salt Lake City businesses

Had breakfast here with a friend. The buffet was good but nothing special. A large selection of fruit, cereals, and pastries. Pancakes, bacon, and sausage. Service was very good and they let us hang around until nearly 11am even though the buffet closed at 10.
Didn't earn a higher star rating because the day I went they were cutting down EVERY SINGLE TREE outside the hotel! What is that?!? -

The Little America Hotel is the nicest MOTEL I have ever stayed in. The Little America in Salt Lake started out as a motel (meaning room doors open outside). Then they added the tower hotel section of the property. Then they added the Grand America, the five star hotel across the street.
I've stayed here three times, and every time I draw a room in the motel section. Maybe because I'm too cheap to book a nicer room. Compared to the Little America in Flagstaff, the rooms are tiny. They are well appointed and clean. Furniture and decor were a bit over the top. -

This is a surprisingly great hotel. Some of the reviews had me a little worried, but this place is very nice. It's not granny, just traditional and done well.

Review from Kelie H.
This review is solely on the meeting rooms, buffet service and the lounge area. I have never stayed in the guest rooms at this hotel.
I had the pleasure of spending a week at Little America for a corporate training event. We met in the Wyoming and Colorado (I think!) ballrooms for most of our days and they were clean, decorated nicely for Christmas and spacious. My only complaint about the ballrooms is that they were freezing cold. Like A/C blasting in the middle of December. Why??
The food was great and we were definitely overfed to the extreme. Our food schedule went something like this: buffet breakfast, mid morning snack, late morning snack, buffet lunch with dessert buffet, mid afternoon snack, late afternoon snack, buffet dinner, open bar and huge dessert bar. I now weigh 5000 lbs.
The food had a different theme each day but there was a reoccurring theme of capers in almost every dinner entree, which was a little odd at times. The desserts were fabulous and the most delicious was the bread pudding with rum sauce.
The lounge is where we went during the hour between meetings and dinner and we hung out and had a few drinks. The waitresses in there strictly adhere to Utah's weirdo liquor laws and won't serve two spirits in one trip and actually brought a martini and set it on the edge of the table on the other side and told a co-worker, "you can't have that until you finish the first one". Kinda funny. Why did you bring it then?
Overall this was a really nice place to hold a large meeting. We have trainings in Las Vegas at the Monte Carlo regularly and I would say that the Little America was just as nice, if not a little nicer! -

Little America - aka - hanging out with middle America.
Am I in the Midwest? No I'm in Little America, Salt Lake City, Utah. It was inexpensive, clean and quaint. The better deal of the downtown SLC. The rooms were not connected so I didn't want to venture in the cold to find the pool in another building. The restaurant encouraged eating a lot and fatty foods. Parking is free and that was a bonus. Nice staff and always willing to help. -

79 bucks. Smack dab downtown. Across the street from fantastic coffee (Raw Bean) and clean and comfortable. Like a very upscale motel. 79 bucks. Wow.

With a lazy morning to kill before our plane back to PDX my wife and I decided to have leisurely breakfast. Little America was a short walk from our hotel so it was the ideal choice.
The breakfast buffet is held in a separate from the normal cafe business, lots of leather booths and old world feel.
The buffet is limited in selection but more than adequate. They have a nice selection of sweet breads and all the usual like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage... What was missing was a fresh omelette station and a roast beef.
Overall, it was good and if I'm in Salt Lake again over the weekend I'll go back. -

Nice hotel. I've stayed here a couple times now. The tower lodging is where it's at, though if you're on a budget, and you're not traveling with a bunch of people, the motel rooms are OK if a little cramped.
The tower rooms are spacious and comfortable. Clean, with excellent housekeeping service. Only problem with my last stay was that my room was located near the elevator, and that sucker is LOUD. At all hours of the night, it feels (and sounds) like a freakin' earthquake as it rumbles up and down the shaft. Damn, I know Salt Lake is close to the Wasatch Fault and all, but that was ridiculous.
The lobby has a beautiful fireplace - it's great to just spend time hanging out in the lobby. Pool area is first-class, with an indoor/outdoor heated pool and plenty of lounging area. Also a small hot tub, gym and sauna, perfect after a long day of snowboarding.
It had kind of a lame vibe the last time, though - there was some kind of trade association meeting there.......bunch of boring dudes in suits and ties. It was a tad depressing as it reminded me way too much of board meetings at work. The hotel employees were helpful and nice, though. I don't understand what prior reviewers say about sullen Utahns, I've found the people to be exceedingly nice to me - and I by no means look like a LDS Church member, either, so there's no way they could have mistaken me for one of their own! I kid, I kid....I know SLC isn't all LDS.
I would stay here again, no problem. 4, maybe even 5 stars, but for that damned elevator shaft. Geez. Ask for a room FAR from the elevator, or you're going to regret it. -

I found the Little America on priceline, and got a great deal. While it doesn't look as grand as it's big brother across the street, I was really happy with my experience.
Our room was enormous; we were in the "superior tower", and we had a terrific view of the mountains. Also, the people at the hotel were really nice and helpful. They even wrapped a present for me! For free!
Finally, they don't rip you off, even the convenience store in the hotel and the brunch buffet are reasonably priced. -

I hear this is basically two hotels. There are the not-so-hot lower level spots (which someone described to me as, basically, a Motel-6), then there's the tower. The tower is cool. I had a giant room with a spectacular southerly view. It's Victorian-inspired, wholesale-ish furniture and décor. Which was fine. And wow, huge. This is a place to party. You've got a couch, two tables, about three chairs, a bench and a huge bed. iPod dock, too (no, that's not standard in all hotels yet... and it drives me nuts when there isn't one).
Oh, there's a cool sculpture of a moose in the lobby, too, which... rats... I forgot to snap a shot of. Next time. -

We had a Performance Group in Salt Lake City for the last 2 days. Little America trested us all top notch. The Lunch in the conference rooms was great. Thank you so much for the great service to my out of town friends. They all commented that next time they need a place to stay in SLC there can be no where else!

This review is for the breakfast buffet only:
Little America has a larger buffet in the ballroom, which is supposed to be very good. This review is for the smaller buffet in the dining room.
Weekend Breakfast Buffet:
* Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - $16.95 Adults / $8.95 Children
* Sunday: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. - $16.95 Adults / $8.95 Children
This buffet is pretty small. They have 1 island of staple breakfast foods (bacon, potatoes, oatmeal, eggs), 1 island for fruits, a table for muffins and breads and an omelet station that also has waffles, french toast, pancakes and hand carved ham. The ambiance is charming and they can seat a lot of people without it getting too noisy or cramped. The food is pretty good, they just don't have a large selection of items. We end up eating here once every couple months and they ALWAYS have the same food. Try it once - yes, dying to go back - no. -

Salt Lake City, UT
So Little America does this buffet that I'd heard about, a lot. I moved out to Salt Lake in March 06 and it seems like everyone that's from here has been to this buffet before. Which really builds a serious set of expectations, I was ready for this place to seriously kick ass. And it was pretty darn good. I can't decide whether to give it 4 or 5 stars. Anyways I'll worry about that later.
The buffet is open both Saturday and Sunday mornings into the early afternoons. I went on a Sunday at about 11:15 with two other folks. We waited about 15 min to be seated which was pretty frustrating because we could see an abundance of empty tables. And when I say abundance I mean like 15 +. What I realized later was that the wait was obviously not about creating space but due to a shortage in wait staff. Unfortunate indeed.
I have to say though the interior was very nice with a variety of seating options, tables large and small, in the middle of the action and tucked away ready for dating couples, there were booths too, some round sound not. The room was nicely adorned as well, and created an un-buffet like atmosphere.
I started my brunch with a small plate of fruit, all well cut and cleanly presented. Clean is a big deal to me when its buffet style. This is going to sound so lame, I hate to think everyone is going to know that I only buy the cheap produce at the store now. But really, they served some the produce that I hate shelling out the big bucks for during this time of year, raspberries, passion fruit, strawberries, melon, and then the regulars grapefruit, oranges, pineapple, they had some nice steamed bell pepper as well.
Now in terms of the appetizers, I was tickled that they had biscuits and gravy, and that it was good; major points in my book. I enjoyed a side of scalloped potatoes that were good, but nothing more than I would expect. I just kept going too, I had a high class egg mcmuffin; an egg over easy on a cut of ham on an English muffin that I really liked. I polished that off with a blintz that was topped with a sweet berry sauce.
For the entre, I was already feeling full. Imagine that. I got had a ham, cheese, and tomato omelet made to order. It was like any other omelet someone will make for you to order; it was ready in 45 seconds. Not that you cant make good food fast, it was just sort of disappointing but I was already full so whatever, I got over it, and the salsa sauce I put over it was good. They'll prepare your eggs any way you'd like. I also saw that they were making French Toast and pancakes. So there are a couple ways to knock yourself out.
I had a cranberry juice to drink, ummm antioxidants.
The price was $15 per person.
So now that I've thought my way back through the experience I've decided to award four stars for the brunch experience I had. But 4 stars is good for me and restaurants. I don't go out often because I'm hardly ever impressed and I'd rather save the money cooking what I want at home. I really liked the place though, and would like to go back, so thats a good sign. Being a buffet I guess it's not really the place you'd take a girl on a first date, but it would be great for the times when you wake up, do your bit, want a full meal, and realize no one wants to do the cooking. People were dressed in a wide variety of ways, guys had ties girls in Sunday dresses, other people were dressed down. I had on pants and a polo and I felt fine.
Interior --- 5, pretty decked out.
Food --- 4, everything but the entree was a 5.
Service --- 4, took too long to be seated.
Price --- 4, this is totally counter intuitive, but I'd rather pay $16 or $17 and have them hire more wait staff to seat me right away than pay $15 and wait 15 min... I say jack the price up and I'll give you a 5.Listed in: Visiting Salt Lake?, Top Restaurants

Short review: This lodging and its people wowed us, (and it is not often that a hotel does that). The folks here are very gracious, the food in the "coffee shop" amazingly good, the room spotless and the bed so comfortable that I had to buy one of the pillows ($40). The wi-fi worked great in our non-tower room.
Longer: We have often stayed at the Radisson, which we like, and had a terrible experience at Xmas time at the Marriott Residence Inn (definitely has gone down hill), so we decided to try a new place in Salt Lake. The Little America had new lower rates and our Courtyard (motel-like) room seemed affordable so we tried it out for two nights. Incredible.
The room (all are non-smoking, a firm king with 5 great pillows) is spacious, spotless, very well kept up, great tv, and fine, free wi-fi. Thick, generous towels. My wife loved the pillows so much that we bought one. Details in the room are not simply plucked from a Motel Supply catalogue. Everything functioned well (except the alarm clock/radio, whose radio alarm came on at 8:12 p.m. and I couldn't find how to disable it). Parking is free, location of the hotel right downtown but feels like a calm oasis.
While I had a coffee maker delivered to the room, I chose to go to the Coffee bar (different from the Coffee Shop Restaurant) in the lobby area with its very good coffee ($2) and free refills. We also ate at the Coffee Shop restaurant. Jenifer had the Roast Turkey dinner. I had the liver and bacon. Both dinners included a large, fresh, not-from-a-bag salad, great rolls, a truly baked potato (not steamed in a foil wrapper) good portions, and fresh carrots with zucchini. Plus ice cream. For about $14 each.
It was our interactions with the staff, however, that really made our stay special. Every person was gracious, friendly, obviously well trained, cared about working there, and made us feel special. (Thank You Staff!)
Would recommend the Little America to anyone. Location, price, comfort and, especially the staff. This will be our new home away from home in Salt Lake. Do not hesitate about staying here. -

I have never actually stayed here, but, as usual, I am all about the food. Coming to Little America was a family tradition growing up and it has really become a Salt Lake institution of sorts. Here are your dining options:
The Sunday Brunch (aka...THE BIG ONE) that, at least when I went years ago, was held in one of the huge ballrooms and was very good. Features a huge selection of scrumptious food served buffet style - be prepared to stuff yourself silly! I remember the lines getting extremely long, especially on special occasions like Mothers' Day. Get there early!
Okay, so I don't even know what to call this one, but there is a more upscale restaurant next to the Coffee Shop that serves a different, smaller breakfast buffet on Saturdays and Sundays. To be honest, I'm not sure about their menu the rest of the time because I'm always too busy running past it to get to the aforementioned...
Coffee Shop! This is one of my all time favorite places to eat ANYWHERE. If you are younger than 70, you may feel a bit out of place, but it's cool. If you find yourself there on a Sunday, I highly recommend the Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup. Uggggghhh. So good! The turkey dinner is awesome, or, if you're not quite that hungry, the open faced turkey sandwich is a similar, smaller option. The Reuben is also very, very tasty. I usually avoid hotel restaurants, but this is definitely a wonderful exception. -

As per usual, when I need to travel for biz, I use priceline and bid for my room. $62 and 4 stars was my bid for SLC...and Little America is who picked me up.
Was a little concerned (as others seemed to have been) when Salt Lake Cities version of the Taj Mahal (Grand America Hotel) is right across the street and I was feeling I got the short end of the stick.
Even driving up to the front, red brick building..didnt instill confidence. However, once you walk through the front doors, a pleasant surprise. Not my style really ( i prefer more contemporary design) but very nice nonetheless.
Check in was super efficient, pleasant. Plenty of covered parking close to elevators. Several options for dining, although a single kitchen i would presume.
So...up to the 11 th floor to my room. Aside from a slightly funky smell in the hallway...kinda musty, the room was really nice. Very large, huge bathroom, I would think about 600 sq ft in total. Again, not my style of furnishing, but pleasant.
Went down the the sports bar and aside from the place being empty, it was pretty cool. Tons of big screen tv''s but very limited menu.
I ordered potstickers and a beer. Both were fine. Waitress was awesome, super friendly and attentive. Then again I was the only person there.
Not quite the W, but I wouldn't groan if Priceline dropped me here again. -

Staying here on business in a perfectly suitable courtside room.
I've stayed here for years and it's consistently clean, comfortable, safe and as much like home as any hotel can be. After a long day I came back to the room to find a lovely plate of chocolate covered strawberries! They were served on a linen covered tray with a silver fork... A beautiful presentation for room service. My boyfriend spoils me! Not the first time he's sent strawberries to my room. Last time I was at the Ritz Carlton. Tonight's strawberries were head and shoulders better than those at the Ritz! And the strawberries were't even listed on the room service menu. Now that's service! And I've got the smile! -
Review from Sam S.
Although the Little America Hotel stands in the shadows of its larger sister the Grand America Hotel, it still has much to offer. While the outside of the Little America may appear dated the inside is anything but, having been remodeled and updated. The rooms inside including those for events are very nice with modern furnishings and beautiful decorations. The staff is usually great, very accommodating, and friendly. For the hungry among us the Little America has a good buffet with lots of options for lunch and dinner. Stop on by and I think you'll enjoy your stay.

Review from Minx A.
San Francisco, CA
Everything was fine until I got my bill. I made a large number of copies on Friday morning, and the concierge quoted me $.10/copy. Kinko's was just around the corner, but $.10 is close enough. Then on Saturday morning I made another large amount of copies, no price was quoted to me, and the concierge actually gave me a little attitude about my request. I sign the receipt, assuming it was the same price as the day before. NOPE! $.25/copy! 2.5 times the amount I was quoted! I don't make a practice of asking about prices I already think I know, silly me.
This on it's own is OK, mistakes happen.
I call to get the charge reduced, and met all sorts of resistance from their business manager. I'm told the average hotel charges $.25/copy. He's not Kinko's. I signed the receipt so the fault is mine. I'm furious now. He came down to $.17/copy but by now it's over. I've told my reps to no longer stay here, and panning this place on Yelp.
There are dozens of places to stay in downtown SLC. Choose another. -
Review from Jonathan L.

I attended a conference here very recently, and because I bought my stay through expedia for $99, they put me in a 2-story building adjacent to the "real hotel." The room was nice and clean, but the desk and furniture were from the civil war. And the room was small. The desk had such a small opening for my legs and chair, that I bumped my knees about 30 times. Several bumps and 1 small scrape. Finally, the tv was about 50 pounds and felt like it was going to fall off of the tray that held it. ...just as long as it didn't fall during my occupancy.
The conference rooms were nice, the staff was generally friendly. The weight room was heavy on the cardio and light on the weights. Pun intended.
If the room I stayed in wasn't so old and so small, my review would have been better. -

I've stayed here a couple of time now. I'm always impressed. The rooms are large and comfortable. The bathrooms are very well laid out with plenty of room. With the extra ante-room bathroom. both Poopsie and shower and clean up and stay out of each others way. Not like other hotels where you have to take turns.
The room was very well maintained, the lady who cleaned it, tidied up my stacks of paper and stuff without moving them around or getting them mixed up. Staff are friendly and aim to please. We splurged on valet parking - a whole $6. WiFi is free and it works, flawlessly.
The coffee shop serves decent food quickly and without a fuss. The little coffee shop in the lobby is great too. The fancy restaurant is good, but perhaps not as polished as other fancier hotels. They do have an issue with serving wine properly and the menu is not very extensive in that department.
The location is great, you can walk to almost anywhere in downtown SLC and it's right on a trolley line if you want to travel that way. -
Review from Tammy S.
Very clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms. An outstanding room for the price. The one negative I would have to add is that I found the service at breakfast to be bad though. But all in all, it was a very good value.

This is my dad's favorite restaurant. I mean FAVORITE. He really doesn't like to eat elsewhere if he can help it (besides home). When I was younger, this is where we went for graduations, confirmation, and all special events. Occasionally, when I would get out of school early, he would take us there for lunch, too.
One of my fondest memories is the year that we went there for the Mother's Day brunch. My friend and I finished off 8 plates each. This was also the time that I learned that ice cream will calm the stomach and can clear up additional room for more food. When my friend and I see each other, we still talk about it fondly.
Little America is great. It's an institution of "better foods" in Salt Lake that still elicits many great memories. -
Review from Therron R.
Chicago, IL
I think they serve a daily breakfast buffet, but the best meal to come for is the Sunday Brunch. A bit pricey at $25 per person, but worth the cost for variety, and atmosphere. A good quarterly treat!
There is live piano that varies depending on the pianist, sometimes jazzy, sometimes classical. Chiefs are also available to make custom omlets & crapes. There is a seafood bar (Shrimp/Crab), dessert bar with chocolate fountain and all types of cakes, eclairs, and fruit. They even have some lunch type foods like cordon bleu, and fetticini alfredo. And lastly, you can order any type of drink to accompany your food gorging session like juices, teas, coffee, milk, or even soda.
A slight draw back is that most of the servers and staff don't speak much english (They are Eastern European, and such) so sometimes it is hard to understand what they are saying. -

This is a 3.5 star review.
My dance company stayed here when we performed at the Rose Wagner Theatre in Salt Lake City. Pleasant, reasonable rooms with attractive decor -- staying as a quartet in a room with 2 doubles can be a little tight, though, and the pillows are shite. There is free internet access if you bring your own cable but no WiFi. We loved the party jacuzzi up in the main tower, but no alcohol is allowed (our beers were confiscated) and the facility closes at 11:30pm. At the time of our stay there was something wrong with the air conditioners for the building, and at times the room was uncomfortably hot. In Sept., we went from 85-degree weather to a drop to 32 degrees with slushy sleet in one day. That helped cool the room somewhat... -

So, this hotel is excellent. After seeing the Grand America, and then walking across the street to Little America, I feared it was gonna be a dive; but, honestly, the difference was negligible. Elegantly apportioned lobby and public spaces; equally as elegant guestrooms. The staff are clearly the same five-star quality that you'll find at Grand America.
My only warning: the decor is overwhelming. Victorian to say the least; marble floor, gawdy rugs, heavy drapes, wood paneling as far as the eye can see. -

Ok so Im going to break this place down for you:
The Room - I had a garden king room in a seperate building on their property. The room was spacious and clean. It was set up like a suite with a seperate little living room and even a vanity area with a second sink so it would be a great room for more than one person. Since it was just little ol me I had tons of space. The only problem with the room though was that this seperate building felt desolate and, again, with it just being little ol me coming back from a dinner or meeting on the later side I felt a tad uneasy oh and their wireless internet...if you aren't in the main tower you can forget about getting more then one bar. Room rating 4 stars.
The Restaurants : my first night I had a snack and a drink in the sports bar/ lounge attached to the steak house. You have to by law have some sort of food with your drink there so even though I just wanted a drink I ordered some steak fries off of the steakhouse menu...and boy was I glad. They were amazing! My second night I decided to go back to the lounge but order a full dinner off of the steakhouse menu. The waitress was great...she was the same from the night before and even remembered things I liked. Though the steak fries weren't on the menu I asked and they had um so ask for them! Id go back for the fries and amazing scallops alone. Restaurant gets 5 stars for good food and service.
Not here's where it goes downhill:
Customer service : while the bellboys were friendly and cheery everyone else I encountered ...from the woman who checked me in to anyone I asked about local restaurants seemed to have some sort of "I don't care about this job/ I don't care about helping you" look or tone about them. I was able to brush this off for the most part until I was mislead. The night before my departue I asked and was assured there would be cabs out front early in the am. Come the next morning I discover that their idea of a cab is a hired town car that charged twice the price my metered cab had been to get there! Id experienced this at resorts before but never at a downtown hotel. After the girl at the desk looking at me blankly and literally just standing there while I asked.."you must have a number to some sort of metered cab..." her response "metered?? " like I was speaking a foreign language...I continued " you know...a regular cab..." It was then a bell boy intervened and gave us a number she didn't dial correctly even though he insisted that metered cabs aren't out at that hour (it was 6:30 am and I was under the impression most cabs run 24/7)..finally I got service on my cell outside the lobby and literally within 5 minutes my yellow cab was there. Seriously I've never had a cab arrive so quickly. I just didn't appreciate their complete lack of help or their trying to trick me into a town car that was twice the price. I wouldn't be surprised if they got some kind of kickback from the company. Whatever happened to "the customer is always right " or "i don't know but I'll find out." Telling me cabs don't run at 6:30am? Really? Come on! Customer service 1 star.

Hey $28 for Sunday Brunch that rivals Top of the Mark, not bad at all.
We spent 2 night at the Little America attending a wedding across the street in the high rent district of Grand America. We stayed in the garden room, which is basically the motel section of the hotel. I wish they would just be straight and say that but oh no, it's a called the garden court. Staff was friendly, not overly, but at $89/night, they were friendly enough. We found the room to be clean, the shower to be scalding hot, but the pillows were too soft. We asked for better pillows and it took 3 calls but they made it happen and we were happy. The diner offered as expected diner food at reasonable prices.
Our wonderful host treated everyone to Sunday Brunch and it was very good and when we found out it was $28, it was excellent. Being from San Francisco we are used to being fleeced so it's refreshing to come back to earth. -

I bid for the room on Priceline... excellent! I stayed for 5 nights. It was awesome. The courtside room was huge and very comfortable. Room decor was a little plain but upscale. House keeping kept the room very clean and well-stocked. There are two pools: one outdoors and one indoor/outdoor pool. Since it was snowing, we used the indoor/outdoor pool. Very clean and warm. The pool area was beautiful.
Parking is great. Courtside rooms, I hear, are bigger and less grand than the twer rooms but they allow you the freedom to go directly to your room and avoid the hotel lobby. Free parking available close to each room.
The staff brought over a port-a-crib free of charge. This was nice.
The hotel has a restaurant, "The Little America Coffee Shop" which is apparently famous among locals. It was pretty good. We had breakfast and lunch there a couple times. Average meal: $10-12 and kid's meals: $5-7.
The hotel lobby is beautiful. Nice furniture and staircase. The hotel is far more beautiful on the interior than the exterior.
A great hotel. I'd definitely stay there again. -

Although it looks old, the Hotel itself was really nice. the room was comfy, a I really liked how the room had a vanity =) They could definitly do something better with the layout though... i didn't like carrying my heavy bags up stairs.
