YAY for Lisa!  YAY for Jeremy!  YAY for lattes and glasses of wine and the sort of personal service that is so hard to find nowadays (thanks for staying late, J.).  YAY for a rinsing sink that doesn't break your neck and for 80's music and for eavesdropping on fun conversations with Lisa and her clients.

The first time I went to LP Salon on a Saturday afternoon, there was a huge windstorm and the power went out.  Everyone was undaunted and just moved closer to the windows for the natural light.  No one got a blow dry that day, but that was the most fun I had in a salon in years!

You wanna go red?  Do it at LP Salon.  It's the best color in town.

You need only read my review of Gary Manuel Salon to know what a huge fan and loyal customer I was for lo so many years.  It was a difficult decision to make the switch, but I've never looked back.

I have been to Lisa Power Salon a few times now (to see Sarah) and every time I go, I love how pampered I feel after leaving. At other salons I have been to previously, I felt jammed in between other clients or rushed, but here, I sometimes feel like I am the only one in the whole salon. I also like how Lisa is usually there chatting with clients or checking up on how your experience was. For those who aren't lucky enough to live down the street from the salon, the #15 and #18 buses stop right at the corner (of 5th Ave W and W Mercer). If you need a new stylist like I did last year, definitely stop by and you'll feel right at home here.

It's no secret that most women head to the salon after a breakup. New hair, new outlook, new YOU (well, usually). Sad thing is, 9 times out of 10, these women emerge with a haircut that sounded good in their head at the time but later hated themselves later for being impulsive.

Sarah was NOT going to let me be one of these women.  We talked at length about what to do with my crazy curly/wavy/mind of it's own hair (she loved it long, I wanted a change). Sarah didn't want me to be impulsive but wanted to give me the change I wanted. We decided to shorten it a little and turn up the layers.  I'm so glad I heeded her advice. Not only did she expertly snip away and style my hair into what we called movie star hair,  she was wonderful to talk to. That girl has got some awesome experiences under her belt!

Lisa, the owner, came around and checked in with all the clients to see how everything was going. What an awesome chick! She really believes in her slogan and it shows (live. laugh. be pretty). I hear she is the master at color, especially for going red.

This place will make you feel fabulous.

You hate hair salons as much as I do? You can be comfortable there. Parking is hard to find, but once you get in; you'll feel like a queen.

Lisa, the owner of Lisa Power Salon in Queen Anne, is wonderful.  Like an artist working on a palette, she sculpts, colors, and cuts hair like no other.  I've always been happy with the result, and have gone from red to blonde and back again.  Not only is she extremely talented, but she also listens to exactly what you want, is organized, and socially grounded.  The only reason I haven't been back is because I was laid off and can't justify a new do just yet!

Oh man, I love this place! I'm new in town, and was all stressed out about finding a salon that suited me. Lisa Power salon has TONS of great reviews on Citysearch, so I gave them a call. I got a lucky same-day appointment with Jeremy, and he did a GREAT job on my hair. It's smooth and soft, he fixed my uneven highlights, and the cut was super precise. Everyone there was so friendly and kind, not snobby at all. I'm looking forward to going back soon! Thanks Jeremy!

Jeremy Novak is an extremely talented colorist as well as great with scissors.  He worked in an esteemed salon in Seattle for many years and he and Lisa have begun this smaller, classy, comfortable site themselves!  Highly recommend.
