Oh, my goodness! Delish! Expensive? For mostly organic local and well-prepared food? I don't think so! Yes, it's all a la carte, but we felt it was worth it.
I got the tri-salad sampler, AND the tilapia (despite my usual wild-only rule), which was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with an awesome sauce. He got the chicken picata, and declared tender and tasty. Even the rolls were homey, authentic, and yummy.
Super friendly staff, too, and a lovely relaxing dining room. Coming back soon!
One caution: very sloooow. We were one of only two seated tables, but apparently, they really do make it all from scratch, and no microwaves, thank goodness, because it took awhile to get from the beginning to the end of the meal. Was worth it, though.
Oh, careful what you order: the side of asparagus amounted to about a dollar or more per spear. That did kind of shock me, and in that case, wasn't worth it. But everything else was a good value. It's priced like a more posh place, while being very homey and cozy, but the food lives up to it's price.
(BTW, this is a belated post, actually composed in May) -

I was in town for work with about 30 other people. So we basically took over the one front room with the two large tables. We all had the same thing to eat as dinner had been arranged for us. That was the first problem. The salad while colorful was fairly bland. The entree portion came out and it was an incredibly hard piece of bread with some overcooked pasta and some overcooked and very soggy veggies.
The pasta was edible albeit over cooked. There was more mushrooms in this meat sauce than meat! Very heavy on the oil though as when I was done, there was a large puddle of it on the plate.
The bread, so hard I thought I loosened a filling!
The veggies, very shriveled and overcooked and completely indelible on my plate. Other seemed to be ok.
The service was lacking as the door leading to the kitchen, opened into one of the people in my party. Service took many minutes to get everyone plated and when it came time for refills, no one was around. So I didn't get any.
Dessert....I was told we were getting the best carrot cake in the world. It wasn't bad, just lacked some flavor.
They also had live music and it was so loud, we couldn't even hold a conversation. It might have been better if we had less in our party and no live music, but I won't know as I did not want to go back. -

It was an unexpected pleasure to find this little gem. Food was great, with a weekly changing menu that ensures that each time we come back (and we will) there will be new things to try.
You can dine in, or choose from the deli counter and get it to go. The offerings are diverse, not unlike the deli at Whole Foods.
We tried many things. The baby enjoyed both of his grilled cheddar on croissant paninis. The girls split the Thai Shrimp. They loved the shrimp and the rice. I ate the rest, and boy was it good. Some really good curry, and surprisingly authentic tasting. Thumbs up, and I eat a lot of Thai!
I had Jimmy's Pecan Smoked Brisket Quesadilla. Really outstanding brisket, folded into a flour tortilla with Monterrey Jack cheese, grilled onions and cilantro. Yum. I also had a small Linda's Signature salad; Fresh greens, house-spiced pecans, cranberries and bleu cheese in Linda's balsamic vinaigrette. Fresh and tasty.
My wife had the salad and a cup of Mushroom Brie soup. She said it was very good. I had a few of the deviled eggs for an appetizer. Lots of dill, with capers. I prefer more mustard and paprika, but they were still good.
For dessert, we had the Mexican Wedding Cookie/Pecan Sandies. I grew up calling them Sand Tarts. Fantastic. Light and crumbly, just like Mom's.... -

Linda's is a gem of the hill country. It is always a pleasure to eat there. I won't repeat what some of the other reviews say but if you want great food made with love you can't go wrong here.
On our last visit we had crawfish pie and seafood gumbo. Amazing!!!!! -

Great service, simple and comfortable atmosphere. The is delicious and the menu changes weekly. I have never been disappointed with the pork chops, the twice baked potato is always a good choice for a side. It's an a la carte menu. Top quality food and live music. Great prices for the delicious food.

This place is located in a charming old stone house under huge old Oak Trees and Linda serves up some mighty fine food.
I stopped into the deli area to pick up some to go food for a picnic at Blue Hole but after peeking into the dinning area I secretly wanted to ditch the picnic plans and dine in.
I love that the produce is home grown and organic and you can definitely taste the freshness in all of the veggie dishes. We got the Salad Medley Special for 8.99 that includes 3 salads, bread and tea. We chose the Tomato and Mozzarella (home grown small red and yellow tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and olive oil), Shrimp Salad (shrimp, celery, red onions, boiled eggs, capers mixed with a lemony dill mayo) Broccoli Salad (crunchy but not raw broccoli, raisins, bacon and sunflower seeds in a sweet and tangy dressing). We also got sides of Grilled Eggplant (topped with roasted red peppers, pine nuts and raisins), Okra and Tomatoes (that also included corn, union and bacon) and Cilantro Sweet Potatoes (not sure of the ingredients but it is a sweet and savory indulgence that we did not get enough of;)
They get a full five stars for tasty organic vegetables that make you forget you are eating healthy because the lace their healthy veggies with bacon and mayonnaise! -

The food is very good here, but VERY expensive for what you get. It is more than the Leaning Pear, which has a CIA trained chef.
Plusses: Comfy homelike ambience, delicious, nice people. BYOB. They supply glasses and openers. -

Ate there last Saturday night and enjoyed it. I had the Enchilada Special with a side of quinoa salad with cranberries. It was all delicious. My partner had the flat iron steak with roasted sweet potatoes. The potatoes were wonderful but the steak was undercooked.
Sitting under the oak trees after dinner listening to live music was great too. You couldn't have done that in Austin but the Hill Country air is always a bit cooler.
The menu changes weekly and you can have it emailed to you. -

This restaurant is very quaint and relaxing, and the food and service is really good. It fits right into the laid back town of Wimberley.

We ate at Linda's fine foods while staying in Wimberley for Memorial day weekend. After looking at their menu online we decided to go pickup some things to go for a picnic, however when we arrived we saw the menu for their "Guacho Night" Argentinian cowboy themed dinner and we had to stay. The pecan smoked tenderloin was incredible! As was everything else. The service, casual atmosphere, presentation, and especially flavor was top notch.
