I've been living in walking distance to Linda Thai since it opened. Before Linda, it was run be a few other owners, all of which were passable.
I'm so glad I gave it another chance when Linda took it over. I must go at least three times a week.
The food here is always fresh and delicious; the prices are great; it's really one of those secret gems in LA.
This is the only place in LA that tastes as good as the food I've had in Thailand. Even better, actually!
I like the Pad See Ew (flat noodles with a sweet soy sauce and broccoli); the barbecue beef ribs, and a secret item not on the menu - Pad Ka Pow Chicken (spicy ground chicken with brown rice and a fried egg on top).
Also Pad Ka Pow fish. Linda keeps the place spotless, and the waiter is hilarious if you get to know him. They work so hard and make such great food. He does all the deliveries around hollywood on his bicycle.
Tto drink, I usually have a coconut, and don't forget to order some coconut icecream for desert.
If you like Thai food you really owe it to yourself to try this place out. I've refrained from moving to a new neighborhood, because I like this place so much. -

I've now been here three times and done take-out twice and each time I honestly don't know why I go back. The food IS good when you get what you ordered, but so far, every meal I've gotten has been wrong.
I'm not a finicky eater (anymore) and I don't ask for minute changes to orders. But when I say, "Pork Pad Thai," and get chicken, what is going on? Last time I was in the restaurant, I said, "I ordered Pork." They looked at the bill and said, "Oh, you're right." WHAT? They offered to have it redone, but I had to leave because I was going to a meeting. I like the sweet flavor of the pork.
Moreover, I find that most of the food lacks spice and often the noodle to meat ratio is pretty high. The lunch special really is a deal, so if want to roll the dice and hope you get what you ordered, Linda Thai is there for you.
Sadly, for some reason unknown to me, I will continue to go back here. -

I first discovered Linda Thai because of its close proximately to my office. Not only is it convenient if you live in Hollywood, but the food is consistently delicious and very reasonably priced. Lunch specials are around 6.95+ and the portions are so large you can have lunch & leftovers for dinner.
I highly recommend the pad thai (you can't go wrong) and the red curry with brown rice which is so spicy and sweet you may be tempted to drink it. My absolute favorite Thai restaurant in LA - hands down. -

There is a little sign above this restaurant making the claim, "Best Thai Restaurant in Town". A bold claim to make, I dare say. However, I think they may be right on the money...
I have visited this tiny little haven on more than a few occasions to order food to go and I am greeted heartily every time. As I sit and wait, they always offer me a glass of water and make sure I'm comfortable. They have a few papers to choose from so I can catch up on my Onion "news" while they are back in the kitchen making the best damn Pad Thai in Hollywood. Then I take my Thai iced tea and sip happily all the way home...
Great service, great food, great prices. This is the holy trifecta of a great food experience and Linda Thai has it. -

Absolutely my favorite Thai restaurant in LA. I lived in walking distance to this little gem, and it quickly became a favorite with my roommates. The food was constantly excellent (I highly recommend the yellow curry with chicken). There are only a handful of tables (5 I think), so prepare to get cozy with the staff and the other patrons. The service is friendly and fast, but the food almost makes none of that other stuff matter. Also, if you enjoy Thai iced tea as much as I do, they don't disappoint with an overly creamed or watered drink. Plus, free refills, so, score.
You cannot go wrong trying out this little restaurant that could, can, and will. -

Definitely a great thai restaurant. Well, I've never been to the restaurant, I've only ever ordered delivery. Truthfully, I've had a better Pad Thai, but the Kung Pao is amazing, the Kai Khua Noodles with tomato, egg, bean sprouts, etc is amazing, and they've got good 'dinner special' and 'lunch special' deals. Okay, now I'm hungry.

Cannot comment on the actual food since I never got that far. I chose Linda Thai because of the rave reviews and felt compelled to share a different experience.
I call for delivery, try to give my address to a man who is not quite understanding me. After 5 minutes of repeating myself, he hands the phone over to a woman who asks for my address. I told her I had just gone through that whole process, she ignores me. So another 5 minutes of address giving. then comes ordering. I want the dinner special based on yelp recommendations. First, they do not have eggrolls and she says she can substitute wontons. i don't eat meat so that's out. she refuses to offer anything else for which I would have made up the difference if more expensive. i ask if the fried rice could be made with brown rice. she grunts and lets me know that they don't make it that way but they will do me the favor. thanks so much!!!!! then i ask for chicken satay and she says it back to me and i confirm. then i order noodles. that's it, pretty simple.
she reads my order back and instead of "satay," she says "pad thai." i correct her and she snots back that she said pad thai earlier and i confirmed it but i had thought she said "satay.". no big deal, i get the language issues, but there is no need to argue with me over what I ordered. just note the change and get over it. ugh i hate her more.
credit card info given...
i ask her to quickly read it back again seeing as though there were only 3 things and she already fucked it up once. she acts all exasperated, mutters "jesus," puts the phone down and starts bitching to other people at the restaurant. she gets back on and i ask her again to read the order. she then yells at me that she has other customers and I'm too slow and taking too much time. like really? i have to give my address 20 times, deal with her attitude, correct my order and i'm the pain in the ass?
at this point i don't give a rat's ass how good the food is as i will never try it. -
