Like your mom, this place is a lot bigger on the inside than you might expect.
That is the worst joke I've ever heard, let alone typed.
I am going to go hang myself.

My new favorite, favorite place!!
I live just around the corner and had never been here before a couple weeks ago and now I want to go all the time. First off it's a huge bar and it never gets too crowded which is awesome. There's pool, an awesome jukebox, a back area enclosed by a curtain and super cool swirly chairs. Yes, part of the reason the bar is awesome is because they have old school swirly barber chairs.
Otherwise, great drink specials. Awesome bartenders and staff, one nice bartender read me every flavor of 3 olives vodka they had and didn't roll his eyes once. Great crowd, a nice mix of cranky old men and me, thankfully few if no hipsters.

Very friendly service. Great drink prices. If I lived in the area, I'd make it my usual haunt.
We met up with a group of six already in full effect and found room at their table and a few chairs easily. It was after 10 on a Saturday night and it wasn't too full or too loud. No hipsters in sight, just a nice mix of locals and visitors.
Good bar.

I really like this place. I wonder how long that'll last.

A friend helped me attempt to fulfill my goal of "being good at pool" at Lincoln Tap, so I always had lots of fun, albeit the lack of pool skills I actually gained. But factor in the cheap vodka drinks and fun times in the photo booth, and I give it four stars!
Stay away!!!

i've been visiting the lincoln tap on & off for the last 2 years, since i moved in the neighborhood. for the last year i find myself returning again and again and again! this is such a refreshing place for the neighborhood - it's not overcrowded with "frat" types that seem to have taken over most bars in lakeview/lincoln park. its a cool laid back vibe with a bit of a "rock" feel. pool tables, plenty of seating.
inexpensive drink specials every day of the week. i remember overindulging in $2 maker's shots one monday night. and i cannot confirm or deny the possibility that i may have flashed my boobs in the awesome black & white photo booth. ha!
the staff is also very friendly, cool people.

Friendly place, unpretentious, overall a fairly genuine vibe. They have Hamm's in a can for $2. Good juke, though last time there they kept playing awful 90's late grunge krap. For that, I deduct a star. Otherwise, a very good neighborhood joint that I will frequent in the future.

For some reason, this bar is never very crowded. It's surprising, since they have pool tables AND a jukebox AND drink specials every night of the week AND a black-and-white photo booth AND some of the friendliest bartenders ever.
I love hanging out here. It's not too divey, not too upscale..... just right. The perfect neighborhood bar, if you will.
And, as a bonus, you can always hit up Chicago's Pizza (which is within stumbling distance) before heading home, since it's open so late. Few things are better than greasy pizza after a night of drinking!

This is in my neighborhood so I may be a bit buyist here. This bar has some great specials, and even free pool one night a week. I won't tell you which one though because I still want to get a table. The bartenders are cool, the jukebox is all rock, the bar is dark. I these types of "somewhat divey" bars by their jukebox. They are a 4 out of 5 because of their Beatles and Clash selections.
