I love movie theaters, and this is easily one of my favorites.  The lobby is exceptionally large and beautiful.  The seats are comfortable and not squeaky.  The auditoriums are large and plentiful.  The image quality is exceptional.  Plus, easy free parking!

There isn't an aspect of this theater that is not exceptional.

Great theaters. 4k digital technology, real 3d, IMAX. Free parking.
Food is horrible and two expensive. There were two hotdogs and they were black.
Good news is there are plenty of good food, cheaper or more expensive in the same building.
For Seattlites closer and easier with free parking than you think. Loses last star on premium movie pricing and bad food. But it is my first choice for movies.

If you plan on going on a Friday night.. expect to wait in some long lines!  Got there about 7:20 hoping to catch the 7:50 show, but decided to go grab something to eat and catch the 10:30 show so we wouldn't be stuck in the "in yo face" seats in the front row.

I'll still wait in line for this theater though because the leather seats are super comfortable and for the most part the facility is clean.  Nachos with the works, espresso, etc.  Though we didn't buy anything from the concession stands this time around.

Annoying people talking during the film next to me, but that's not the theater's fault.

Never again. The theatre was so disgusting and trashed that we almost left.  Good thing the guys behind us went to find a manager (we were debating walking out and doing the same when they announced they were going).  Management did come clean it, but it was too little too late.

Next time I'll just wait for Netflix.

This it the most professional, clean, and comfortable movie theater I have been to around Puget Sound.  On weekends they deal with a high volume of people, but they have not only the counter windows but also the ATM-style on the wall where you can self-serve.  The seats are swivel and so nice.

And most  times before the movie starts, an employee actually gives you a speech!  They don't do that anywhere else!  Sometimes it is a cute girl too!  When she is done with her speech I'm like Hey excuse me can I have your number? but she didn't hear me.  Next time tho!

Pssst...hey let me pull on your coattails a bit here...you want some advice buddy?  Well think twice about buying tokens for their arcade.  I'm just sayin!  A few times I spent many a paycheck on tokens and then DDR didn't work!  I was so dejected.  I told the manager and right away they gave me my money back...but still. It isn't about the money. It's about the DDR

After the Yelp Elite event at 0/8 Twisted Cork on Wednesday, I decided to visit Lincoln Square Cinemas. With the weather being hot and humid, I figured I would not get any decent sleep no matter what. Thus I took in a late screening of Harry Potter 6 (Half Blood Prince).

In comparing the many movie theatres I have visited, Lincoln Square compares favorably. It is conveniently located across from Bellevue Square. As part of The Bellevue Collection, there is considerable parking options and it is just a skybridge walk away from the mall. Regular admission is $10 which I think is in line with other comparable theatres. There are also matinee showings, which are $8.

The stadium seating is excellent here. I wouldn't say every seat is great though. Especially if you stuck with the seats right in front of the screen. I would think those seats would make your head ache after 2+ hours of viewing. Seats were comfortable here and the AC was excellent. The theatre even has an IMAX screen which I find pretty appealing. All in all, I would say Lincoln Square Cinemas is the best theatre on the Eastside in terms of comfort and movie viewing.

This is my favorite theater to go to on the Eastside, and i make a point of going here when seeing a movie.  I have one small complaint - I could see the glow of several screens from people using their phones to text during the movie this weekend.  This would be a good thing to prevent by periodically sending in an usher to walk around.

Just a suggestion.  It's still the best theater on the Eastside!

Used to go here to watch all my movies until recently.  Why?
B/c lazy arse management and employees.  Went inside to watch movie and there was so much gum stuck on most of the chairs. So much crap laying around.  They don't clean up after ppl get out of movies.  My gf and I went to complain at the guest services and they didn't really care.  5 mins. b4 the movies about to start, one young punk came to clean and  didn't really clean much and left after 2 mins.  wtf.   stuck up and lazy arse ppl who take no pride in their job are worthless idiots who should get fired and branded as dumbass lazy worker for hire.

OOOH. I like this place.
I saw Star Trek and The Brothers Bloom here on Saturday and Sunday of the same weekend. I was only happy to come back. The projection here is the crispest I've ever seen. The chairs were some of the most comfortable I've ever been on.

YES, I LIKE THIS PLACE.

This place rocks my socks off. I gave it 5 stars because you really can't find a better theater on the Eastside or really anywhere around Seattle.

The seats are comfy, the bathrooms are nice, the screens are huge, the picture is good, and it is nice and cool. These are my requirements and they are all met.

On a sad note, my sister and I, both grown women, wanted to play games and the selection is sorely lacking. Most of the machines are broken. But, since we are adults and this shouldn't matter to us, I am sticking to my 5-star guns here.

Lincoln Square Cinemas is hands down one of the best theaters in the Puget Sound area. They have comfy seats, wide aisles, decent service, quick lines, and fresh popcorn!

The screens are a decent size but for some reason the images seem really clear and crisp. Sound is awesome and definitely worth watching movies like Transformers there.

The lines were pretty quick, I used the self-serve ticket kiosk thing and it was very user friendly. I also noticed the lines at the box office were really quick as well. Snack lines were pretty darn fast too! I didn't wait more than 2 minutes in my line to grab my coke/popcorn!

All in all a great place to watch a movie!

I've been going to Lincoln Square Cinemas for years and finally two weeks ago I went to check out it's IMAX watching Transformers 2. Quick movie review: fun and entertaining, silly story, lots of robot fighting, beware of motion sickness, and plenty of Megan Fox for the guys (and girls).

Anyway as someone else has noted, this IMAX screen is not really the IMAX you would come to expect at a place like Boeing's IMAX in Seattle. Honestly I didn't feel like it was much different than the standard screens in a theater. However, the surround sound is definitely IMAX. And for a movie like Transformers...WOWIE...that's some good sound editing work.

I think I'm gonna continue watching movies at Lincoln Square IMAX vs the one in Seattle. My main reasons being the seating, much more comfy, easier to get in and out (for us people with weak bladders), not to mention when it comes time to finding your seat...cus no one apparently moves all the way to the end ever...or always leaves onsey seats between groups despite a packed theater, which makes it impossible to get through for cramped places like in Seattle's IMAX.  Pricing was the same too at $12 general admission.

However, Lincoln Square Cinemas cannot be beat when it comes to free parking, and there delicious concessions. Seriously same price for Nachos but you get lots of Nacho cheese, salsa, sour cream, olives, onions, jalapenos, and Guacamole?!? Seriously that's my must have every time I go to Lincoln Square Cinemas.

Anyway this review is a 4 because the IMAX screen is just not truly an IMAX screen, but everything else is excellent.

I wish that all theatres had seating like Lincoln Square Cinemas.

They have the widest aisles where you can walk in front of your fellow movie goers without feeling like as asshat for having to get up and use the loo and/or snag treats from the snack stand.

Sure, the screens are on the smaller side, but I can deal with that... it just means that the theatres are smaller. To me, this means that there are probably going to be less annoying people getting in the way of my movie watching.*

*Yes, I'm bitter. I rarely go to the movies anymore b/c people don't know how to sit and be quiet and watch a film.**

**Yes, I'm tough to please.

This is my favorite theater to go to when I'm watching movies! It has the biggest screens, the best sound system, and the absolute most comfortable seats.

I don't recommend coming here for opening night of any movie unless you plan on getting your tickets online and arriving 2 hours in advance.

It's always crowded and most movies will be full, but that somehow makes the movie experience better than usual :)

A clean, comfortable environment and the tickets aren't even *that* expensive compared to the alternative. When the option presents itself, we generally tend to go to Lincoln Square.

The concessions are a ripoff, but what place isn't? I'd rather pay ripoff prices for fresh ice cream, tasty nachos and Tully's hot chocolate than the stale tortilla chips and rock hard pretzels I've suffered through at other theatres.

I'm really excited about seeing Transformers here in IMAX soon =) Hoorah for an IMAX screen close to my home!

Now with IMAX screens, it doesn't get better than this!

I watched "Up" here last week in 3-D in an IMAX theater. The movie was adorable (I may or may not have cried after the opening vignette) and the overall experience was superb. The screen size, picture quality, and comfortable seats were great!

I never noticed it before, but they now sell ice cream! Lots of flavors too! YUM! :)

This is one of the best cineplexes in the area!  This modern theatre is  nestled over in east sides fancy Bellevue Collection. It does boast ample free parking (after 8) which is so refreshing since the downtown Seattle parking structures charge you an arm and a leg to park in at all hours (when your seeing movies at Regal Cinema/Pacific Place AMC).  Also, the seats are these large comfy leather (maybe pleather?) seats with drink/holder arm rests that can be raised up in case you are need of a cuddle or personal space isn't an issue.  The screens are large, sound and projection quality has always been good.  Usually don't carry the indie stuff but if I want to witness cinematic carnage I will be coming here!

What's with the iddy-biddy screens here?

Oh, that's right....they're called "wide-screen".   But how come the screens are not wider than the old-fashioned rectangular format?  They are just shorter is all!   Hence my slang expression - "short-screen" format.

My friend, Liz, tried to explain to me why wide-screen is so neat, that somehow it is better for showing side-to-side-action.  But I'm not feelin' the love.

And,  all I know is when I see a "wide-screen" movie on my T.V. at home, half the screen is black.  And this is an innovation?

And then Jens steps off his soapbox and watches Star Trek 2009 (in wide-screen format), and which he quite likes.  You go, Mr. Spock!

It's not your normal theatre. At normal theatres one must lift up their feet like they're marching so as to avoid losing their flip flop to the sticky floor. At normal theatres, one must check out their seat and make sure they're not going to be sitting in gum or something else sticky... At normal theatres, one must make sure the person in front of them isn't too tall to see the screen without finding a break between the heads. No, Lincoln Square Cinemas is not your normal theatre.

Stadium seating, espresso, IMAX screens, and clean recliner-comfy chairs are the amenities at this cinema. They keep their theatre clean. There isn't that dirty lens that some theatres use.  I would much rather pay several extra dollars to watch a movie in this theatre than to watch it elsewhere.

I love this theatre for mainstream releases. Super comfortable seats and great sound. I just saw 'Up' with the new 3D system and it was great. It's a bit pricey, but I don't know that it's really more expensive than other theatres with comparable showings. The free parking is also a plus.

My company also held a special event here once during the day and they did a great job of handling so many people.

Lincoln Square is the only theater I ever watch movies at in Bellevue. It's much cleaner and more impressive than any other in the city.  Plenty of free parking in a well-lit, covered parking garage below, or at Bellevue Square or Bellevue Place across a skybridge makes it  pretty convenient.

The only annoying part is that you can only buy tickets online directly from their website: http://www.lincolnsqua... or in-person at the box-office. Since most of us search for movies on conglomerate sites like Fandango, Moviefone, Movietickets, etc... it's just that much more inconvenience.

Also, keep in mind that Lincoln Square's IMAX screen/s are NOT the true IMAX experience you've come to expect. Yes, they're shot with IMAX digital technology and are shown on a curved screen. However, it's on a screen that is about the same size as a standard screen, about 1/4 the size of what I consider a real IMAX screen. The sound is pure IMAX, though. It's up to you whether this is enough to warrant a significant premium in the price of the ticket or not.

So people say this is the best theater just because it's huge... I've been there a handful of times only once was I pleased by the outcome - that time I snuck in late and didn't hit up the snack bar.

My boyfriend and I have been harrassed twice by angry men demanding to see our tickets - both times we produced them and they walked away no apology.  Neither of us gets upset easily but we left both times that happened.
But the worst was when we went to see The Dark Knight on opening weekend - the picture was flickering and slightly out of focus - the whole time.  If it's such a great place they could afford to spend some extra time training their staff to do their jobs.

NO THANKS!  from two avid movie-goers.

We've seen several films at the Lincoln Square Cinema over the years and have never been disappointed.

The auditoriums are all very comfortable:  Stadium seating so your view is not blocked by the person in front of you.  Comfy seats with ample leg room.  Arm rests that lift up so you can get closer to the person next to you (if you both desire, of course).

Plenty of free parking.  Lots of  decent eating choices nearby.  This is definitely on our list of our preferred places to see movies.

This is a great theatre in a convenient location and best of all, the prices are just about the same as anywhere else. Like most theatres, they also have a student discount which will save you a buck or so. I love the leather seats, and you can put up the armrests! Yay! What I love even more though, is they have a HUGE parking garage so you never have to worry about parking or getting to the movie on time.

The best Cinema I've ever been to.

They have leather reclining chairs that you kind of melt into while watching a movie.  Don't go if you're tired though because the chairs are so comfortable you might fall asleep!

The only problem is that it is in Bellevue so commuting can be a bear.  I'll be hardpressed to go to another cinema so long as I don't have to worry about 520/90 traffic.

Cinema heaven!  Great classic theater feel, like you are stepping back into the golden age of cinema.  Tons of neon, soaring ceilings, giant mural, a humongous snack bar.  Makes going to the movies feel like fun.  And, students get a $1 off.

Tons of free parking in the caverns underneath the theater.  The most comfortable seats ever.  Real live ushers telling people to turn their cell phones off.  Lots of dining options nearby. I don't know if I will ever go to another theater again...

This is a clean, modern theater. The seats are super comfy and the sound is great. And it is a rare independent theater amidst the miasma of regals et al.

So why do they suck? Well imagine going up to the food counter to buy popcorn and pop for you, your dad, and your uncle. How much should you have in your pocket? Times are pretty crazy... Maybe 20 bucks? 25 bucks? How about 38 DOLLARS?

There is just something deeply and fundamentally shameful about charging 38 dollars for something that could not have possibly cost more than 75 cents wholesale to the theater.

So take this review for what it is; a rant against insane concession prices. The theater is fine, for what it's worth. But to give it any higher rating would be like giving a great review to a restaurant that has good food and atmosphere, oh and a waiter that repeatedly slapped you in the face.

When this place first opened, it was a definite five star. In the years since, it's gone downhill.

It has it's good points. The seats are very comfortable, there is an I-max screen, the concession staff is usually nice, and the bathrooms are huge- never a line.

But first you must get past the bad aspects. Parking is horrible, and god forbid you get down to your car and realize you forgot to get your parking stamped all the way up on the third level, you're going to have to hand over a pretty penny.
The staff seems to be divided into two groups- the friendly people that work with the food, and the disgruntled employees that handle the tickets. You'll be forced to work with the ticket handlers, and then decide if it's worth the $15 popcorn/drink combo to experience the friendlier staff.

Other theaters in the area have recently been upgrading and are just as nice (as well as cheaper.) I probably won't be coming back here in the future.

A microcosm for all of Bellevue and certainly the mall of its namesake, Lincoln Square Cinemas combines the positives and negatives of ritz and unduly epic proportions:

+ Stadium-style plush seating optimized for the range of horizontal and vertical statures
- Stadium-style pricing on concessions (including hand-packed ice cream)
+ Enough screens to show less mainstream movies in addition to blockbusters
- Not enough capacity to meet the demand of many higher profile movie openings
+ Free parking (at adjacent Bellevue Square)
- $1 surcharge on online tickets ($11 total for non-matinees) while not taking Amex
+ Competent staff on the busiest of nights, like the premiere of The Dark Knight
- Temporary immersion into the culture of tomorrow's Belltown club denizens

Still, it's probably the best film venue on the Eastside if only for one distinct spatial advantage; the best way to enhance almost any early or late evening showtime and ensure you're too full to be violated by the concession stand is to get tickets and then cheaply increase the contents of your stomach and decrease your critical standards at walking-distance happy hour at either McCormick & Schmick's or Palomino. At that point, you will have no choice but to enjoy the show.

I like this theater I really do, it's just too bad it's so far from me.  The big, plush, leather like seats that are meant to recline a bit are rather comfy and the stadium seating provide unobstructed views for everyone.  The moveable arm rests are great you can put them up if you want to snuggle with the person next to you or keep them down if you don't want them touching you.

The previews are also pretty useful, I found out if I took my ticket stub to Azteca I can get $10.00 on some Mexicant food.  If I took my ticket stub to Blue Ginger I would get free gyoza if I orders two meats.  I did not test either of these out as neither sounded appealing to me but the people behind me couldn't wait to head off to Azteca for some Mexicant food.

One thing here I'm not a fan of are the black toilets in the ladies room, they just do not look clean or inviting but when a girl has to tinkle a girl has to tinkle.

Oh and the air conditioning is not cranked up like in most theatres I never need to wear my parka in here when I go see a movie.

So my friend and I decided to try out this place since it's supposed to be some "luxury" movie experience.

Was it luxurious?  The leather chairs were nice...

Evil little teenagers that work here need an attitude adjustment and the setting is tacky... the whole castle theme is pretty heinous.  Nothing is especially nice about this theater.

However, I keep coming back.  It's so convenient to grab some food and drinks at any of the numerous restaurants in the area and catch a flick here.  It's just a lame place to see movies at.  Oh well.

Simple.

This is the only place I'd go to watch a movie in theaters.

Granted, there are other theaters (Like Crossroads, Galleria, Factoria, etc. in the general area), but this is one that I think of first, prefer, and return to because of the experience.

Visually, main lobby is quite grand, with warm carpeting, high ceiling (I LOOOVE places with tall ceilings!), and wide open spaces. Perfect for large crowds of movie-goers!

Plus, it's connected to Bellevue Square, which is in the midst of expanding to be the next major hotspot for consumer shopping. The FIRST and ONLY Neiman Marcus in the Pacific Northwest! Doesn't that say something?!

Simply put, Lincoln Square has a lot going for it:

[ PROS ]
1) LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! It's in the middle of a HUGE shopping area! Right next door to the upscale "Parlor", above "Lucky Strike" bowling, and several choice restaurants. It's literally in the "heart of downtown Bellevue" where all the action is.

2) Service and Presentation! One of the best-looking cinemas I've ever seen in my life yet, and great comfortable seats with descending placement so nobody's big head is blocking your view from the big screen! ** Know your consumer rights: You can now take outside food into theaters that advertise! The old "can't take food from outside" rule was null and void when theaters decided to advertise their food/beverages before previews! If the ushers decide to stop you, ask to speak with the manager (S/he knows your right as a consumer, and they can't stop you)

3) The entire cinema experience. Everything combined (clean lobby, service, seats, etc.) just makes a great movie experience, which is what consumers are looking for when they prefer to watch a movie in theaters than on DVD at home.

[ CONS ]

1) Parking -- underground parking, tight corner spots for exiting and entering parking levels. Numbers and color-coordination makes it easy for consumers to remember where they parked.

2) Pricing -- Yikes? Standard of living increases every year, and we all have seen the prices of products go up in the last couple years. I believe Lincoln is priced higher than most cinemas. But, you decided that you'd be willing to pay for the cinematic experience when you chose to watch it in theaters instead of at home on DVD, right?

Lincoln Square's PROS greatly outweigh their CONS.

But, don't take my word for it.

It's a place you simply have to experience for yourself.

even though i can take a quick 5 min walk to a nearby downtown movie theatre in seattle, i am SO willing to take the drive over the bridge to bellevue just to go to this cinema to catch the same movie they're playing here - ok i am but the husband isn't, but that's only because he's never been to LSC yet :D  i kid you not!  it's NICE!  the seats are well spaced; SO extra nice for vertically challenged person like me - and more so if you're going with ANOTHER vertically challenged person :)  OR if you're not but seated next to one...

i came here by myself last week to watch ia movie in one of the bigger theatres with not so many people.  believe me, i was SO tempted to lie down on the comfy seats to watch the entire movie :D  no i didn't... but i really wanted to and i think i just might next time hee hee!
