Genevieve did a terrific job.
I began the planning process thinking that I didn't need a wedding coordinator. I thought I could do everything myself. But when things started to get a little intense in the early planning process, we sought the help of Genevieve, and I cannot being to explain how happy I am with that decision.
Genevieve is easygoing, professional, caring, and detail-oriented. I loved working with her on a personal level as well. She really took a lot of the heat off of us as we planned our wedding, and had some invaluable insights into the wedding industry that neither of us could have imagined.
The finished product--our wedding day--went smoothly and near-perfectly. It was more than I could have asked for. I really owe our beautiful wedding ceremony and reception to Genevieve's hard work and careful planning.
Bottom line: I recommend Genevieve to everyone planning a wedding. She killed it! -

Genevieve is an awesome choice for planning your wedding!
She has great style, is completely open to the thousands of ideas brides have when deciding about the look and feel of their wedding, and is amazing at suggesting a DIY approach for achieving the style you want.
As other reviewers have mentioned, she has is super laid back but somehow still on top of everything - a rare combination that makes her a dream to work with! My husband and i both loved meeting up with her to discuss the details of the day.
Lastly and most importantly, our wedding was executed perfectly. It was the happiest day of my life and i didn't have to think about or worry about a thing - Genevieve had it all taken care of! -

Me best friend asked me to help her with her wedding but I suggested she hire someone else so I can enjoy myself.
She hired Genevieve and I must say that I thought she was amazing. I know how hard it is and she ran the whole event on schedule with utmost attention to detail.
Five stars, you deserve it! ;)

when it came to our wedding, we needed help. not so much in the planning or ideas department... but in the execution. my husband and i are both organized and creative people... we like design and had a pretty good idea of how we wanted our wedding to "feel". but, how you want your wedding to "feel" is very different than how it can come to "be". it's like saying "i know i want this pie to be delicious, but i have no idea how to bake and sure as hell don't have a recipe"... you get the idea...
i didn't really shop around for a coordinator. i knew i wanted someone that was dedicated to green/sustainable events. someone with an eye for design. someone easy to talk to and down to earth. someone committed to the extremely personal nature of a wedding. and there she was: genevieve of lily spruce.
early in the process, LS sent over a questionnaire for us to answer. i sent it back with 22 adjectives in the 'describe your wedding with adjectives' section. i don't know about you, but twenty two seems like a whole lot. but genevieve ran with it. she took our rambling list of ideas and adjectives and directed them towards an incredibly perfect wedding. incredibly spot on.
the day of, our wedding was smooth sailing. genevieve and her crew were lighthearted, organized and on top of it. exactly what you need day-of. our spaces were stunning; uniquely filled with special and beautiful elements. looking around the room, we were so glad to have included some creative services into our package. having someone with the 'big picture' for how things should look and, yes, "feel" was clutch. super duper clutch. -

If you are getting married you need Lily Spruce...trust me!
Genevieve is so creative and her insight and perspective during my planning process was invaluable. After getting engaged I was so excited to start planning my dream wedding but my thoughts and ideas were all over the place. Genevieve was fantastic at focusing my creative energy and helping me come up with the perfect design concept for me and my groom. Think Old Hollywood Glam, 1940's art deco era, peacock feathers, candles, crystals, jewel toned hues with a bit of SF charm...and still incorporate a little of my Filipino culture. She is genius.
Genevieve is very sweet and has the perfect personality for a wedding planner - she patiently listened to me and offered her experienced opinions as I obsessed and second guessed save-the-date cards, wedding dresses, bridesmaid dress colors, invitation design, rehearsal dinner spaces....you name it. She also has a lot of reputable vendor referrals who are very talented - I hired many of them for my wedding day.
On the big day she helped make sure everything went smoothly. She made sure the makeup artist was running on schedule and always had a bridesmaid on deck waiting, helped family members put on corsages and boutonnieres and even put together a little breakfast plate for me and made sure I ate before the ceremony. She has the experience to also anticipate what might go wrong - she carries around this amazing emergency bag that has anything you could possibly need for any situation. When I chipped my perfect French pedicure she was right there with white nail polish touching it up. When my side-bun was falling out after the ceremony she was right there tucking the pieces back up with bobby pins and hair spray. When my flower girl was crying because of blisters from her new shoes Genevieve was right there spraying her little feet with anti-friction spray and fixing her up with band aids.
I could go on and on...bottom line is Lily Spruce rocks and Genevieve is an experienced, talented, extremely professional and super fun wedding planner to work with. I would highly recommend her for your wedding or any other event you need planning! -

As a former event planner for nonprofit events I highly recommend Genevieve and her team at Lily Spruce. I got the recommendation from a friend who is also an event planner and we both agree - Genevieve is awesome.
I planned all the details (G came to one or two walk through meetings) and then handed it off to Genevieve for the day of. She asked all the right questions so she was prepared. And she executed the plan flawlessly. And when other vendors missed something - she figured it out - like creating flower arrangements for high boy bar tables at the last minute.

I can't say enough about our wedding coordinator, Genevieve. Her help and expertise with our big event was truly incredible. Thanks to her and the services she provided, Jonathan and I had the wedding of our dreams.
Our wedding included a weekend full of activities, with plenty of DIY components. From the rehearsal day run-through and nighttime pool party to the wedding ceremony and reception, Genevieve executed the vision and details every step of the way.
As "conductor" of the big day, Genevieve managed the timeline, set-up and break down of ceremony and reception spaces, directed vendors, fielded questions from guests, and much, much more. Because of her, we breezed through the day and didn't have to think about what was going on outside while we were getting ready. We were truly free to enjoy the fun of getting married.
Genevieve is a natural. She's organized, intuitive and knows what needs to be done. When Friday night's party got switched to the pool location, Genevieve found pitchers to shuttle beers from the keg already set up at the other location. When I had a last minute panic about my dress, she was there with double-sided tape. When my hair started falling down after dancing all night, she had the bobby pins in hand. And, when I forgot to mention that the linens needed to be packed-up at the end of the night, she totally found the bags and figured it out herself.
Not only was she a dream coordinator, Genevieve is also the queen of sourcing. Her chic, backyard finds and other antique gems were the perfect additions for our ranch-style, wine country décor!
Where I left off (and I inevitably did!), she picked up. Even my matron of honor (who always finds faults with wedding coordinators- including her own!), raved about how wonderful and helpful she was! She even described Genevieve as "priceless!"
Genevieve has officially started her own wedding coordination company, Lily Spruce. I highly recommend her services, and she's really fun to work with. Get her while you can - she's totally going to take off! -

I have nothing but five stars for our day of wedding coordinator Genevieve. We had an outdoor farm wedding with lots of homemade elements (some of which were not finished until right before the wedding!) and Genevieve was the glue that held the event together. She understood the vision of the wedding that my husband and I were hoping for even when I couldn't put our ideas into words. I loved every detail of our wedding and Genevieve was the one who put all those details into place. Having her there with her time line was invaluable on our wedding day.
Perhaps most importantly, Genevieve was unflappable. When I handed her a bucket of flowers three hours before the ceremony and asked for bouquets, she and her assistant made a bridal bouquet and four bridesmaids bouquets without blinking an eye. When I walked into the farmhouse from the reception with chocolate frosting on the front on my wedding dress, she got it out.
All I can say is hire Lily Spruce to plan your next event. You will be so happy that you did!! -

Genevieve from Lily Spruce was a godsend at my wedding. David and we married on August 29th in Carmel. If I could I would give Genevieve more than 5 stars in this review. I was the bride set on planning my own wedding and keeping things on a tight budget. Admittedly, I was a little hesitant to hire a wedding planner since we were trying to keep the costs down, but I am SOOO thankful that I came to my senses and hired Genevieve. I realized that I needed someone to help the weekend of the wedding - someone to fully take the reins on the big day - and Genevieve was amazing!
Genevieve was great in the planning stages as well. She helping me set the reception timing, source materials, contact vendors, and simply identifying things that I had not even considered. We planned a series of events over a long weekend. I'm a very organized person and had spreadsheets and lists and outlines..... hoping that every base was covered. As happens at ever wedding, there were a ton of last minute and 'day-of' things that came up. Genevieve was amazing at dealing with everything (most of them before I even realized they were an issue).
Some examples:
- She put up our Officiant's hair at the last minute!
- When the venue's computer would not run our slideshow, she immediately provided her own laptop to use.
- She picked up all of our personal items the day following the wedding
- To our surprise, she spread flowers and rose petals all over the bridal suite to greet us on our return.
- And many more....
She is so friendly, GENUINE, and personable. I knew the moment I met her, that she was my girl. She is sweet, warm and went above and beyond to help us from the moment we hired her. I highly recommend her... she is a MUST for your event!

Lily Spruce is the absolute best!!!! The wedding planner, Genevieve, is such a joy to work with! As the manager of a retreat center, I work with lots of different event coordinators and I was really impressed with the way that Genevieve went the extra mile for her client.
She also made my job so easy with her attention to detail and easy-going demeanor. Working with her is like working with a friend....a friend who has thought of absolutely everything and has taken care of every last detail so that you can sit back and enjoy your celebration!
