Good selection of dresses in this quiet neighborhood store. I bought my wedding dress here and the owner ordered it for me several months before the wedding. When I didn't hear from her after three months' time I stopped by with my receipt and was expecting her to tell me the dress was there. The dress hadn't even been made by the dressmaker, the owner had written down the wrong date needed by for my wedding.
I got my dress, but a lot of stress was involved. Also I felt I should have been given a refund or a discount, but was not offered either.

This was one of my stops in my quest for a wedding dress, and one of my favorites. While I didn't get my dress here, I had a fabulous experience. All of the dresses in this shop are either samples from big-name designers, consigment dresses, or from less expensive wedding manufacturers (Casablanca, for instance). The owner runs the show, and was really great. She let me try on as many dresses as I wanted, and was really knowledgeable about what alterations could be done. As the owner, she was swept away a few times by UPS, phone calls etc., but I had no problem with that.
The shop really seems geared at women who have looked in the traditional wedding dress salons and didn't enjoy the experience. It's very boutique-y and inviting, and worth the drive to Mill Valley!

I bought my wedding dress here for my wedding this summer. Overall it was a great experience. The owner was out of town the couple of weeks I was involved with my search but the woman who was watching over/filling in for her was great. Lots to look at and check out. The store had a lot of different styles to choose from in all different price points. I tried on two other dresses and then found the one I ended up with. I honestly felt like I could have stayed there all afternoon trying on everything and the woman would have been just as polite each and every time. I ended up with a sample that I loved especially because it was on sale-can't beat that. I thought the paperwork end of things could have been handled better, seemed like everytime I called to put a deposit down or talk about the dress there was a tiny moment of panic because of misplaced receipts and paperwork on their end. Also, when I made the deposit an incorrect amount was orignally written (a lesser amount) and so there was some slight confusion with that. Like I said overall the experience was a good one-lots of veils, flowers, pins and sparklie things to try on and play around with. I noticed two typical 'very Marin' early thirty somethings blonde-haired yuppie girls giving the woman a painfully hard time about some tuille nightmare one of them was trying desperately to squeeze herself into. The woman was so patient and helpful and didn't seem to mind the tedious questioning and outrageous "what ifs" pertaining to altering options. I've already purchased another gown from them for a wedding I had to attend earlier this summer. I will go back again and reccomend this place highly. Keep your reciept, make sure it's made out accurately and you'll be fine.
