Lighthouse Spa = massage bliss! I was in Tahoe City for a weekend getaway with friends, but wasn't in the mood to hit the slopes, so I checked out this spa instead. Making the appointment was easy, and the receptionist was friendly when I arrived. She even offered me a cup of hot tea! The interior decorating was peaceful, calming and very clean. The whole operation seemed very professional and also caring. They have you fill out a short questionnaire before starting. I like that because it gives you a chance to reflect on any mussel or body issues the therapist should know about ahead of time. Leslie, the massage therapist, really worked with me & my back so that I left feeling taller and breathing much more easily. I really enjoyed my whole experience there and would like to go back again. Highly recommended.

While on Summer vacation in North Lake Tahoe the girls booked a spa afternoon in Tahoe City. I had made arrangements prior to being there by using their online contact form. The employees got back me immediately and the customer service was superb. The spa is located in a shopping complex on the second floor overlooking the lake. Small walk up the stairs and there you will find the door. I booked myself a facial with Heather. She was extremely courteous and listened to my requests. They use Dermalogica products here which is a super plus. They even were having a sale at the time on some products and I scored a really good deal on facial cleanser. The second half of my spa afternoon consisted of getting a hot stone massage. Not my favorite way to relax, but the massage specialist listened to my requests and did a good job. My only complaint about this place is the overall ambiance. I like treatment rooms when they are dark and secluded from the outside world. The rooms here have large windows and you can hear all the outside noises including loud boats on the lake. I will give Lighthouse Spa a call next time I'm in the area for sure. Keep up the good work.

This is the first massage I have ever had, so I don't know that I can qualify as a resource, but it was pretty darn good.  I called at about 9 am to see if they could fit me and my mom in last minute.  They scheduled us both for 11:30 appointments.  We arrived and they took us right in.  It wasn't until we were done that I realized that they called them in especially to handle our massages.  I was very impressed.  Maybe that is the way it usually works but I thought it was great how accommodating they were.  I would so recommend this place to everyone.

This was the best massage of my entire life and it was only $40 or so for half an hour. I fell asleep for a few minutes and woke up with drool down the side of my mouth.. I was THAT relaxed. I want to go back to Tahoe just to go back to this day spa. It's tucked back behind the Safeway on the second floor overlooking the lake. Small but nice. Their availablility was really flexible (and we were trying to accomodate 3 people) and their pricing was very reasonable. Highly recommended.

oh.my.god.  honestly, the best massage of my life.  it was so incredible.  my husband also had a massage and we were both melty piles of our selves when we emerged.  i had sheila (the owner) and mike had rachael and we are both toying with the idea of driving to tahoe monthly for these massages.  admittedly, i don't get massages often and my muscles are TIGHT.  after about 2 minutes, sheila asked if i wanted the whole hour concentrated on my back and neck.  she could tell it was jacked.  honestly, i've never felt like the therapist would understand what was going on with my body and adjust.  the amount of work she put into my massage was incredible.  i'll go back everytime i'm in tahoe.  (and they do house calls, in case you want them to come to your ski house...)
