I was hoping for somewhat more economical prices.
I called to ask whether they had eel, the lady on the phone did not appear very friendly, but did answer my questions promptly.
They did not carry eel, but we decided to pay them a visit anyway.
The display case only has a few things on display. They do have a few more things in the back.
The guy who served us was friendly and helpful. I was disappointed slightly that our trout was previously frozen, it was hard to tell from inside the display case.
The price for the trout was very reasonable, considering that is was already de-boned for us. We were able to get a 1lb and a quarter for roughly $12.
Salmon could be had for roughly a little over $9/lb unless you prefer the scottish salmon.
It was easy enough to find once you locate the plaza it is in.
I would like to see more of a selection, and some discount fish
in a deep freezer, but I can understand they are trying to focus on fresh.
I hope to find a fish market that caters to foodies and offers delicacies such as eel. So I will definitely keep looking.
We did cook the trout and it seemed to be of very good quality.
This is a great little seafood market. After moving to the other side of town away from Lombardi's, I was a bit worried about where I'd buy some good fresh seafood. I found my place. It is family owned and the people are very friendly. Everything that I've ever purchased there has been excellent, especially the fish dip! I recently bought some conch there. The price was very reasonable and it was of excellent sushi grade quality.
