I had the pleasure of staying at the lighthouse inn in 2007, just after it's first season.  I've watched the loving care put into restoring the middle lightkeepers house and the two carriage houses over the years, and really looked forward to a stay here.  I wasn't disappointed at all.  The innkeeper, Jim, will take pride in telling you the history of the restoration and the history of the property, while you enjoy happy hour wine and cheese.  Take your glass to the cliffside, and watch the last rays of the sun set as the surf clashes with the cliffs below you.  The light house has been lovingly restored, and is delightful to watch twirl around - if you look out after dark, you can watch the light trail as it makes it's way around, lighting up the grounds on its counter-clockwise, 10-second spin.

After dark, deer take up their places, munching on grasses around the property.  If you have gone into town for dinner, you'll come back to sit by the window of the living room, overlooking the ocean and the lighthouse.  Since there are no neighbors, you'll be able to enjoy the quiet of the ocean, and let real-world stresses disappear.

The guest rooms are restored and updated to provide full-size baths or showers and the rooms are quite comfy.

In the morning, Jim and his staff will wake you to really good fresh roasted coffee and a five-course breakfast - don't try to rush off, because you won't want to miss this.  Jim takes special care to ensure that guests are introduced and made to feel welcome.  Wander the cliffs to the morning air, then take the nature trail to look and listen for birds.

The lighthouse has binoculars for borrowing for whale-watching or for bird-watching.  I felt relaxed and cared for on my stay here.

You will love this brand new B&B - the lightkeeper's house has been completely renovated and they even have some cute little cottages on-site.

Guests get a 5 course breakfast EVERY morning - and the coffee is to die for.  Bluff views are awesome and the staff is SO helpful!  Dont miss it!
