This place is a true godsend. My lady has an illuminated makeup station that wasn't lighting up, took it apart and I found it was just a case of expired bulbs. Now this is a priority and off I went to get replacement Bulbs, first tried all the normal places such as Target and Wal Mart, couldn't find one at all till I stumbled upon this place, they had what I was looking for and I was out of there in 5 minutes and back to fix my lady's makeup thing, the joyful look on her face alone is one reason I am giving this place 5 stars, also the fact that they have some cool signs and Lava Lamps from the old hippie days and if there is a bulb you can't find these guys are the bomb.

Helpful staff. I needed a candelabra bulb for an antique light my wife bought. They had an incandescent bulb as well as a fluorescent type. Just what I needed! Will go back again if I need a specialty item or just some good advice.

Great place with bulbs aplenty and very accommodating, helpful staff. Went in with my penlight that needed a new bulb. The guy went to get one and it ended up not fitting quite right. He took a look at it, figured it was just some extra solder that needed filing off. He filed it down and fixed it right there. Can't do much better for $1.06.

Also, a long time ago I needed to replace a strange looking bulb from an Ingo Maurer lamp that I have. I took it into the Light Bulb Shop and they surprisingly stocked it! Fabulous!

I am consistently wowed by the knowledge base of all the employees at the Lightbulb Shop.  As a designer, they continually provide me with information I need when doing lighting projects.  They will even come to your business to assess your lighting needs.  I highly recommend them!

I was looking for a specialized LED for my otoscope (a piece of medical equipment that I'm not supposed to have b/c I'm not a dr., but this is America and I say that I'm smart enough to know what an ear infection looks like without paying for an opinion every time somebody in my house has an earache!).  The first thing that surprised me was that they actually talked to me over the phone first, unlike those "Shacks" that want you to drive across town first.  When I got there, they didn't blow me off, they actually worked hard to figure out exactly what I needed instead of just selling me something that might not work.  They did their best to order my bulb, and I found something cool while I was waiting:  compact fluorescent nightlight bulbs.  I've been looking for those!  They have tons of compact fluorescents in stock, and they helped my get my city of Austin rebate right then and there.  They were honest enough to tell me that I could get my otoscope bulb cheaper through the online dealer, and I appreciate that.
The next time I need bulbs, I'm going to support this local biz.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, amazing selection of even obscure bulbs and competitive pricing. It's geared mostly towards industrial and commercial usage, but they have a large selection of home-user bulbs.
