Libby's has reopened under a new name and management. But a good deal of the old staff is still there . This makes me happier than a deer in the presence of a hunter with a cap pistol. I've always been treated warmly there, and like the food a lot. That had not changed, new incarnation notwithstanding. Yaaaaaay.

So glad they're gone. My dad, wife, and I were asked to leave after our meal while we were enjoying our coffee because they wanted our table free for some other patrons. I've never been so embarrassed. VT hospitality I guess. Looks like it paid off. Why be afraid of the chains, unless your mom and pop restaurant stinks? I guess their fears finally materialized.

Way to go Libby's! A classic diner with good food and great prices. Not only that, they went out of their way to accomodate our sports (though lucky we called in advance as this is a busy place!).
Fantastic fritattas, and good variety on their breakfast specials. Top that with attentive, friendly service, and a great atmosphere it is worth the hillside stop. -

I can't help but loving Libby's. Consistent, good selection, tasty.
I've had burgers which came out perfectly cooked to order, reallly awesome gravy fries, grilled cheese, and of course bacon and eggs. Nice service, and if you go on a quiet weekday they're happy to let you sit with your textbooks to do some school work. -

Not sure how I lived here for so long without going to Libby's....great prices...big meals...great fun place to sit and look around and people watch. I've only had breakfast here but the full menu was quite large. Whole family was pleased and happy with the small bill!

Libby's is fantastic! They have the best breakast around. Lunch and dinner are awesome too. We've been going there for years. I mean, what else do I have to say if I told you that when we go there virtually all the staff say "Hi!" to us and ask how some of our friends (by name) are doing?
Yankee Magazine in 2008 voted them one of the top five diners in New England. If you are near Libby's and are hungry, be sure and stop in. They are great. -

Normally I don't like diners. I think they're often overly crowded and kind of icky. I had a lovely time at Libby's, though. I would be lying if I said it wasn't crowded in the front. There was a bit of a wait, but it was a Saturday at 10:30am, so that's not terribly surprising. Once we were seated, though, I did not have that usual overly crowded diner feel.
Libby's gets a special comment from me on their vegetarian selection. Rarely have I been to a diner that offers a breakfast combo that does not by default come with meats. Not only that, they offered more than one! Ones with french toast, ones with eggs, and even a yogurt/granola/fruit/muffin combo which is what I ordered. Props to Libby's on that!
I thought it was cute, fast service after the initial wait, and not too pricey. Made for a nice place to meet some friends for a breakfast. -

Long wait for crummy food. REALLY rude owner. Looks impressive up on the hill, doesn't it?
DON'T BE FOOLED. It's a joke. DON'T GO.
