The portions are small and it seems a bit more pricey than your usual Thai place. I love the satays here and the crispy duck.

Decent. Portion sizes are usually ample, but the garden rolls are way too small for the price. Colorful waiting staff. Overall, good food, decent level of spice. I think I'll go again sometime.

Benjarong is probably the best Thai food in the Rockville area. Tara Thai sucks BALLS. I think I'm going to review Tara Thai with 1 star just because it sucks so bad.
Great curry and their beef/chicken/pork ka-pow is great.
4 Ka-Pows! for this place.

for our party of three, we ordered: crispy duck basil, thai style garlic beef kabobs, curry puff, watercress salad, & panang curry. all were very flavorful and delicious. however one star is taken away because it was just too salty for my liking. rice and plenty of soda helped but next time i'd request less salt. the watercress salad was ordered at the last minute so we didn't really look at the description. it was surprising to find it fried in batter with squid & shrimp, etc. it was good though! the decor is nice with fresh orchids & candle at each table. portions are decent. service was fast and attentive. prices were reasonable. it came out to be around $63 for 3 entrees, 2 appetizers & 2 sodas.

Fantastic restaurant! Portions sizes are huge, vegetables are fresh. Spicy dishes are actually spicy, and the staff accommodates orders for extra spice. I can't stop ordering their curries, but their noodles (esp. Pad see ew) are super.

Alright, I'm not really a Thai expert but this place is just great. I brought my boss here when he wanted to take me out to lunch for my first day at the company and he fell in love with it. Now he brings his client to this place and I get to tag along once in awhile. Not too shabby place for some great Thai food close to work.

Definitely not what it was when I used to come here after ballet recitals in elementary school. BTW, I'm in my late 20's. The green curry is very thick with large globules of oil on top, as is the panang curry. Yes, we all know that coconut has oil, but somehow I don't see it at other restaurants.
That said, I absolutely love the house made creme caramel. It's very creamy and not too sweet. Has a different taste about it, not sure what, but def love that stuff.
Overall, I would use this place as a standby.

Benjarong has AWESOME Panang and curries. However, the noodle dishes were ok-ok. Tara Thai has better pad thai and pad see ew. If Benjarong didn't serve noodles, I would be rating this place FIVE STARS! Parking is very easy here, so that is a plus.

This was our first time, and we'd heard so many good things about this place, we were really expecting better. They seated our party of two at a tiny table right under an air vent and so close to the table behind us that I had to sit right up against the table (the alternative was under the vent, where my husband sat!). It was 15 minutes before someone finally came and took our order, although once the order was taken, the food came out in decent time. We had curry puffs and fried tofu appetizers, both excellent. We shared Panang for an entree, and it would have been very good if not for the fact that it was ridiculously spicy. The menu gave it one "pepper" which should have meant mildly spicy, but I could barely eat it and had to order extra rice. I've had Panang at dozens of restaurants and it's never been this spicy. I'm hoping it was just a single bad experience, and that it's usually better, but I'm hesitant to go back after that.

The food is consistently delicious, the portions just right, and it definitely beats the nearby Tara Thai for authenticity. However, if you're in a hurry, this is NOT the place to go - service is very friendly, but hardly speedy.
I especially adore their spring rolls, the lemongrass soup, and the mango & sticky rice dessert. Also, as an FYI - their meat and seafood entrees tend to be a lot better than the noodles - those are just okay.

The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the tasteful decoration is worth at least a half star mark-up. I have not been to this excellent restaurant for dinner in quite a while, but the service at an early lunch has always been remarkably fast and courteous. The seafood dishes and duck curries are among my favorite foods.

The food is pretty good, the ambiance is lovely, and the service is friendly. This is one of the pricier Thai restaurants in the area. $$

A good place for good Thai food. I have yet to find a really authentic place which I can compare to my Thai place in NYC. But for some good Thai food at a great price, you should come here. Their portions are generous and their food is cooked just right. I like their pineapple fried rice and duck dishes. If those who do know me, all I try to order at Thai places is their duck because I love it.
Good food, good prices, nice atmosphere, friendly service.
