May i add that the leucadia oaks park is home to "flatbar fridays" . The local skaters bring their own obstacles and have a blast every friday.
The park is VERY limited with just one quarterpipe and a set of stairs that leads to nowhere, but every single time i go there, i have a ton of fun. -

Encinitas has some great little parks and this is one of them located in the Leucadia section of town. Off of Vulcan Avenue it was built when the land surrounding it was developed into luxury single family homes. It was definitely needed in this area as there are loads of kids who once played in an open field which wasn't always safe.
The park features two mini skate bowls which is great as there are no other public parks in the area with the skateboarder in mind. In between there is a nice grassy knoll area and then a modern playground with structures for children to monkey around. There is also a basketball court and nice flaura and fauna that is interspursed throughout the park.
