After several failed IVF attempts, our fertility doctor recommended we try acupuncture with our next cycle and gave us Leslie's name.  He told me to do whatever she said, so I did: acupuncture, herbs, and vitamins.  Our fertility doctor gave us a mere 9% chance of getting pregnant with another IVF round, but with Leslie's help, I produced 3 times as many follicles as I had on the previous cycles and am now 5 months pregnant!

I always look forward to my visits with Leslie.  Her cheerful attitude helps put me at ease and she does a wonderful job of preparing me for upcoming steps.  There were a few scary moments during the first few months of pregnancy, and Leslie did a masterful job of explaining what was happening with my body and keeping me level-headed.  I have even called Leslie for advice before calling my own doctor!  I would highly recommend Leslie to anyone struggling with infertility issues.

Leslie Oldershaw is one of the most skilled and well-informed acupuncturists I've ever met and this is saying a lot, since I am myself an acupuncturist. Her success in supporting women as they work through infertility and endocrinology challenges is at the top of the field. She is also kind, wise, an expert of nutritional medicine and always innovative in her approach. I can't recommend her any more highly. If you are looking for a practitioner in this region, you have come upon the best.

I did not have a good experience with Leslie Oldershaw or her practice when I was going through fertility treatments after years of trying to conceive, but her response to my recent negative review suggested that she has changed her practice since the time I was trying to conceive my first child.  It's quite possible it has changed (interestingly, all but one of her glowing reviews popped up out of nowhere just after I posted my review), but I would also suggest that people try Christina Martin as a practitioner as well.  She was recommended by my OBGYN, her style was much more to my liking, and she was obviously successful for us (twice over).  And she has since treated various issues related to both pregnancy and postpartum issues, so I know she does know what she's doing.  I also found her more reasonably priced, less pushy about extra tests, less into advertising herself to doctors, and more attuned with the traditional methods.  Of course, whatever winds up working for each person is the important thing.

About This Business

Specialties

We specialize in enhancing fertility, and we work in concert with Western medical doctors for patients who are undergoing assisted reproductive technologies.

We provide treatment to both men and women for a broad range of health issues, including fertility, gynecological problems, endocrine disorders, pain, digestive problems, weight issues, and allergies.

Meet the Business Owner: Leslie O.

Leslie's long-standing interest in women's health and endocrinology led her to specialize in fertility; she has since developed a solid reputation in the Bay Area for helping patients integrate acupuncture, nutrition, stress reduction, lifestyle counseling, and herbal remedies along with Western fertility treatments to achieve optimal fertility.

As an undergraduate completing a pre-med curriculum, Leslie's academic focus was on a combination of biochemistry and ecosystems, thus cultivating an appreciation for the interactions that comprise a healthy, highly functional and dynamic living system. This foundation readily supported her study of the holistic paradigm of traditional Chinese medicine. Bringing the best of both worlds together for her patients, Leslie offers a blend of integrative medicine that consists of the holistic infrastructure offered by traditional Chinese medicine combined with modern Western medical science.
