The clam cakes were fantastic!! Try the stuffed sole with lobster as well.

This is in the "I wanted to like it but..." category.
They ruined two lobsters which I could not eat.
Probably should have ordered steamed/boiled instead of the baked stuffed. It was Stove Top slathered on over cooked crustacean.
* Sitting outside was a pleasure in late August..
* stick to the simpler dishes.
* Drinks were strong.
* Prices were quite reasonable. -

The menu looked good, but the item that grabbed 3 out of 4 at our table was the Portuguese scrod. This dish was awesome, hot in both temperature and spices! The vegetables, however, left a lot to be desired. They were tough (a little too al dente) and tasted awful. The potatoes were very good, with an interesting flavor of cinnamon and rosemary. They were also open late for a Sunday night - kitchen stopped serving at 9:30pm.

Was in the hood so we gave it a try. Fried clam plate was good but some clams where rubbery fries where excellent. Wife's shrimp scampi was good but needed seasoning. Good view and service was OK. The best part was to use our Dinner for Two coupon.

Lepage's is a quaint little seafood restaurant on the water. Namely the Watuppa pond. To an outsider, it makes for a deceivingly pleasant view from the outdoor seating arrangement in the Summer. But to we native folk, we know that eating by the Watuppa is the equivalent of eating by an unflushed toilet....but I digress....
Anyway, so far the food has been quite good. I have tried the lobster roll and their baked stuffed shrimp. Both dishes were expertly prepared and rich with flavor. Neither the lobster or the shrimp had been overcooked. The prices are moderate and the service was friendly and attentive.
I will surely return during the warmer weather to delve deeper into their menu as I over look the Wattupa with the breeze in my hair and wonder if the floating mass in the distance is just something that LOOKS like a dead body.....hmmmmm -

I am giving it 5 stars because it has my favorite meal in the world. I have been an addict of the Chicken Mozambique for years. I craved it when I was away at grad school and now that I am back in MA have been down to Fall River a few times to get the meal. I have been going to Lepage's since I was a kid with my grandparents. I do remember getting salad with the Chicken Mozambique which you do not seem to anymore, it is too bad they had a good balsamic dressing. I have brought a few friends here in recent months and both got seafood dishes which I do not eat. They both enjoyed their meals. Cute place, great summer outdoor dining with view of the water. Again it gets my vote because I have been in love with the Chicken Mozambique for years.

Love the tables on the back patio overlooking the water. Chowder, Lobster Roll,, and a beer... MMMM, not a better seafood stop around.

LePage's is a decidedly blue-collar ol' reliable seafood place near busy Interstate 195 and old US Route 6 in Fall River. My family and I usually eat at the Bayside when we're down here (in Westport, MA) but we got a tip that the lobster roll here was better than at the Bayside.
I had the fried smelts which I would have liked better if they'd been battered with something less fish-and-chippy. The french fries could have been MORE fried and a pickle would've been nice.
Sam Adams Summer Ale on tap was a good thing though!
Daughter No. 1 had the french onion soup to start which was tasty although, ridiculously, she complained that it had too many onions in it which is, imho just goofy. I tasted it, I thought it was good, the portion was generous I like that there were lots of onions. For the main course she had the fried clams plate. they were good, but *not* as good as at the Bayside being quite a bit smaller than what we usually are served there.
So.. the lobster roll..
My wife agreed with our friend.. the Lobster roll WAS better than at the Bayside.. more lobster.. and not overcooked.
the location right next to Lake Watuppa was fine.. especially nice was being able to take a walk on the bike trail after dinner as it runs right next to the restaurant's patio. -

Not a bad little place if you're local and don't want to travel too far, the dinner for 2 with a bottle of wine is a good deal, but it'd be nice if they changed it up once in awhile, I think the same 4 or 5 meals have been on it for years. I find them a little pricey for dinner, lunch seems a better deal, but the food is pretty good, not outstanding, but not bad. I haven't tried the lobster roll yet, but will have to after reading the other reviews. The baked stuff shrimp is a little misleading, they are not super large, just butterflied to look bigger. Their steak tips are quite good and the fried potatoes is a nice change from mashed, baked or fries.
