I recently purchased a Cuetec 19oz pool cue here and I really enjoyed the experience from their sales person David.  I am no expert at playing pool, but I do enjoy playing with something a little more decent than most of the house cues available at pool halls because they are usually pretty beat up.

I looked online to get an idea of what's out there, and then decided that I just need someone professional who can help me.  I went to a couple other places like Sequoia in San Carlos, and some other place near Campbell/San Jose area... and all these stores look about the same in set up, but what really impressed me was David actually cared to help us and find the right cue for me and my friends.

He picked out 4 different cues for us, each with a different feel and price range.  And he explained how to do his little exercise to test out the cues and what to look for.  I actually felt like I learned something from him through the whole experience.  And because it was just the first place I went to, and they actually had good service, I was worried to purchase here because I thought they may be very expensive.  But after having gone to two other places, I've learned that the Len's Billiards wasn't at all overpriced, if anything, I think I got a pretty good deal on my Cuetec.  I can't remember exactly how much I got it for, but it was approximately 120 - 130 including some other random misc items.  I know it might not the best price out there (it might be? i have no idea, but I'd imagine online stores might do better, not sure bout the shipping factor tho) but for the shopping experience and all the explanations and time David spent w/ us, I thought it was worth it.  And I am really happy w/ my Cuetec, especially the grip, so I look forward to play more w/ it and hopefully improve my game =P

With a pool table being utilized at my buddy's house, some cue sticks were in demand.  I cruised on in hoping to find a decent 19 ounce cue for a reasonable price.  After handling a few, I found one that fit me well, along with a sturdy case that looks like a rocket launcher.  The person assisting me gave me tips on shaping and caring for my cue as well.  The owner is some character.  He offered to play me a game with one hand tied behind his back.  Why would I try?  He probably would spank the living daylights out of me.  I got my goods with some accessories for under $100, and you walk out feeling satisfied.  Too bad I can't afford my own table or even put it in my home.  I guess that's why you have friends with a table.
