I really want this place to stick around and thrive. It's almost too good to be true - a great selection of wines, organized by region, with plenty of inexpensive options. I've taken several bottles (reds, whites, and sparkling) home, to parties, and to BYOB restaurants and received several compliments from my friends and even people I just met at parties about choosing a good bottle. If you want to spend a little more you can, although I have never paid more than $20 per bottle and so far so good.
Molly, who is just one of many helpful and friendly employees who have made excellent recommendations, once suggested I try a $10 bottle of French bubbles. I am skeptical of any bubbles at that price point, but was willing to try. What a pleasantl surprise that it not only didn't suck, but tasted really GOOD, like a much more expensive wine.
The lighting and decor are welcoming and pleasant. It's easy to find yourself lost in conversation with the staff if you are in the store while they are doing a tasting.
A new Harlem gem.
As others have testified, this shop is great and we're blessed to have them around the way. Tight curated selection, great value and bang for your buck. 7 days a week, until 10pm, they even deliver. What's not to like? Helpful staff and mellow atmosphere. I wish them all the success in the world!
Charming small wine store that carries a limited amount of reasonably priced wines from $7-30. Friendly and knowledgable staff. An oasis for wine in the neighborhood other than way down and over on 8th ave. Can you believe it - this one actually looks like a keeper for the neighborhod!
Nicely laid out, knowledgeable and helpful staff. A limited selection of wines (as has already been mentioned) but considering there isn't a lot of competition in the area they are a welcome addition to the neighborhood that is slowly changing for the better. Wines start at around $7 or 8 a bottle so if you are on a budget they will have a handful of offerings for you. I also liked the fact that they had wine bags and you weren't walking out with a black plastic bag. It is totally different wine buying experience from the typical behind the bullet proof glass experience above 118th Street.
Pleasantly surprised by the strong opening of this new wine store. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, many affordable wines to choose from. I also appreciate the late hours, considering the much earlier closing times for most area shops. I hope it succeeds.
It is classy and nice. I went there on NYE to pick up some stuff and I loved it. I am so happy a place like this is in the area. The staff were nice and not pushy and they had a really nice selection. I will defintely return to help keep this place in business.
