6 reviews for Lenny & Johns Pizzeria
I find myself frequenting Lenny & John's for delivery. Granted, the food is not Michelin Star worthy but damn does it pack a punch!
Review is on delivery only, as I've never been to Lenny & John's to comment on their service or establishment.
Rice Ball ($1.00): $1.00!!! What else can you buy for $1.00 other than a few items from the McDonald's Dollar Menu? As for the Rice Ball itself, two words come to mind... Scrumptious and Delicious. The crispy bread crumb exterior worked well in introducing the soft and comforting texture of the Arborio rice within the inner confines. The rice was combined together using a blend of herbs and cheese, thus giving the Arborio an almost risotto like consistency. In addition, the slight use of Green Peas and Ground Beef found at the center of the rice ball provided a nice earthy and meatiness to the application. Ultimately, each component of the rice ball worked well in balancing both the taste and texture.
Chicken Cutlet Sandwich ($5.50): Granted, it's probably better with the Parmigana but overkill doesn't do a sandwich justice! Forget Subway's $5.00 Footlong, the Chicken Cutlet Sandwich at Lenny & John's is where it's at. The sandwich itself uses 4 thick slices of chicken cutlet (that's been seasoned, breaded and slightly fried) that's topped with a light tomato sauce. Patrons will find that the substantial size and quantity of the sandwich to be the most impressive feat of this sandwich. For just a mere $5.50, a customer can stuff themselves silly with the massive amount of food provided. In terms of the flavor, the chicken itself is well seasoned and still possessing a slight scrumptiousness in the texture of the meat. In addition, the tomato sauce gave the chicken a light tanginess, which further amplified the flavors of the entree.
Needless to say, a great place to go for a quick fix meal. Nothing too fancy, nothing too subdued.
best 3 am drunk pizza i the world
L & J's had been in a slump as of late. They were breaking in "new" people to make the pizza and it just wasn't making it-no cheese, little spices; disappointing. BUT, went in the other day to see if my favorite pizza had recovered and I have to say it was great! As long as the guys in the front are closely supervised, it seems that L & J has returned to its' former glory. Yes, its a good 3 am place-but great in the afternoon too. Spinach rolls and calzones CANNOT be beat.
Delicious
If your craving pizza and don't know where to go at 3:00am, Lenny & John's is your place. The pizza is amazing and the guys there are very friendly. Its got the whole cozy neighborhood pizzeria thing going which is hard to find these days.
People think I am crazy when i tell them i don't like Lenny & Johns pizza. Its way too cheesy and it breaks apart in your hand. It doesn't taste that great either. I'd really expect better from them being that this place is so known.
