Our go-to Thai Restaurant! We always order a lot of dishes because everything is good and heats up like a dream for left-overs.

    Recommendations:
Tom Kha Gai - Coconut Chicken Soup
    Eggplant Basil w/ Chicken
Pad See Yew - flat noodle dish
Sticky Rice - totally worth the extra 50 cents
    Pumpkin Curry

Ummm.  One of the better Thai restaurants in the area.  I had the $8.95 special lunch.  You would expect some skimpy lunch items, but this was a full meal, with spring roll, good soup, a small salad, rice, and a great entree (Pad basil, with pork).  There was enough extra to take home for a meal the next day.  This place is spotless, the waitstaff on the ball, and is a little of tranquility in the middle of a mall with Trader Joes, Raleys, etc.

Second time here, and giving it an extra star this time because our server was so cute and friendly. The food still tastes kind of generic and Americanized so baseson food alone will be 3 stars. Had the Red Curry Salmon. My friend had ths sizzling seafood plate and the plate did arrive sizzling.

Mmmmmm yellow curry.   My mom got me going to this place and now I like it so much that I will actually go and sit alone and eat it happily and undisturbed!!

The environment is really nice with beautiful art work and a giant Thai fountain. They also have cute knick knacks on their shelves towards the back so they obviously care about details throughout the restaurant, not just what people would notice quickly.  It just makes for a nice place to sit and eat quietly while having things to look at.

The food is delicious and decently priced for their lunch specials ($8.95).  You can a good portion plus a heart shaped mound of rice, a spring roll, and soup.  They're on top of refreshing your water and just really nice people who works there.

Try their yellow curry chicken! Mmmmmm.

I just got a job in Petaluma off N. McDowell, and being new to the area but an SF transplant, I was craving Thai and was unsure where to go.

Yelp led me to this "hidden strip mall gem," which indeed surprised me.

Handsome waiter; good service. Clean and charming interior. Free bowl of crispy puff chips served with a dipping sauce (on the fishy side; typical Thai). I ordered the small Tom Kha soup with chicken, and it arrived steaming hot and very fresh tasting. Delicious and beautiful and large portion.

Next I went for the chicken Pra Ram with a side of Jasmine rice and rounded the meal out with a glass of LaCrema chardonnay. Very large portion size of Pra Ram served heartily with fresh vegetables, broccoli, liberal peanut sauce and nice, tidy pieces of white meat chicken.

Very nice way to end my workweek, even though my new husband* has to work and was not with me :( Next time, I will come with company and make sure to order more!

    *Just married! (09/22/10).

Have had lunch here twice, both times really good food, fresh, fast and friendly service; most important; tasty.

Prices are very reasonable, the art work and fountain are gorgeous.

Pad Thai is OK, not my favorite at this particular restaurant, must have is the  yellow curry , fabulous!

Best Thai food in Petaluma. Not watery, not overly spicy, come with a generous amount of veggies and meat on each meal.

The staff if nice and they're big enough to have a group eat there.

I was taken aback by how nice and clean the inside of this place was, given the strip mall location.  It was a definite surprise to walk in and see a nicely decorated, clean restaurant with smiling servers.

My pumpkin curry was delicious -- a little sweet, a little spicy.  All the vegetables were cooked perfectly, no mushy bits in here.  My only complaint about it was that the chicken pieces were very small and the pumpkin pieces too large.  All the chicken seemed to want to find its way to the bottom.  Call this nit-picking, but I do like to get a taste of everything in each bite as much as possible.  My boyfriend had the pad garlic beef, and the portion was a little small but he enjoyed it.  The crispy spring rolls and the accompanying sauce were delicious.

Overall, I'd give this place 3.5 stars.  I love Thai food and would come back, but they didn't hook me on my first visit.  This would be an awesome place to try for lunch, as I saw they do have some great lunch specials.

Delicious food. Friendly service.  Vegan friendly.  The server who helped us was extraordinarily helpful and knowledgeable in accommodating our request for vegan options.  The pra ram veggie and tofu was rocking good.  Tofu perfectly crisp and tender.  Peanut sauce was perfect.  The Thai fried rice was prepared vegan and extra spicy at our request and it was crazy good.

In addition to friendly and speedy service, the presentation was awesome.  E.g., micro greens (cilantro) topped the pra ram.

Can't believe it took me so long to come  back to this great restaurant.

I've been to this place probably too many times, as multiple servers know my order by heart now! I sampled all the Thai around Petaluma and this place won, hands down. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious. The ambiance is lovely,

For those who haven't been yet, you'll need to ask for it spicy, and even when you ask for it spicy they usually mark it as medium-spicy. Ask for "Thai spicy" if you need it that hot. I've found their medium-spicy to be quite delicious.

My personal favorite is Pad See Ew. The broccoli is just perfect. I'm always stuffed afterward.

Writing this review has made me hungry, so I'm going to go order some for pickup!

I don't like to give out bad reviews, but I can't understand why this place rates so high.  To even things out I was going to give this place three stars, until I saw that Yelp translates that to being "A-OK".  Nothing about the food I had here was "A-OK", so I went with the 2 stars "Meh, I've experienced better".
I delve into these particulars because I sometimes wonder what scale people use when rating restaurants on yelp...with such high marks I was expecting some great food.  The Tom Kha soup tasted ok upon first slurp, even though the broth looked way different than anywhere else I've had this delicious soup.  After my second and third spoonful, a sickly sweet taste lingered in my mouth...almost syrupy....and I didn't even bother to try to finish it.  We also ordered the Pra Ram veggie & tofu--and took a fellow yelper's advice to ask for it "Thai spicy".  The dish was not spicy at all.  In fact, it was served with barely enough sauce to actually coat the vegetables.
The service was excellent and the ambiance nice, but as a newcomer to Petaluma I am sad previous yelpers led me astray with their recommendations to eat here.

Very sweet and friendly staff - always!
The have $8.95 lunch specials that include a small green salad a spring roll and an entree. The portions are huge, and the food is fresh and well prepared. Each entree comes with a large serving of your choice, and a cute heart shaped mound of rice - you will not leave hungry.
We had the Pad Basil dish - with chicken. (options for most dishes include your choice of Chicken, beef, pork, prawns, or vegetarian.)
Broccoli, red bell pepper, mushrooms, peas in the pod, string beans, and sliced chicken in a peppery, basil gravy - Delicious.
We also had the yellow curry with pork. Carrots, onions, potatoes, and sliced pork in a slightly spicy coconut cream curry - WOW!

This restaurant got so many great reviews that I just had to try it.  Like Kelly M., I have to say it was "Meh. I've experienced better", simply because I have.  The waitress who was very nice started us out with a cabbage soup that was just OK.  I ordered Pad Thai with Prawns and my friend had the Pad See Ew.  Mine had everything in it that it's supposed to have, but it was so darned greasy.  I tasted grease and oil for 2 days after eating here.  I've had Pad Thai at many places and none was as slippery as this.  Since my friend only ever ate Thai at Lemongrass, she had nothing to compare it to, so she liked her Pad See Ew, even though I saw the same issue.  Very greasy food.  It was a nice, clean restaurant and as I said, the waitress was great.  The food needs less oil and this place could be top notch.

I absolutely adore this place! I'm currently stationed at the Coast Guard base nearby and stumbled upon this little place one day while exploring Petaluma. Since that first visit, the kindest staff, the neat decor, and the AMAZING food; I've become a regular. It's welcoming to walk into Thai Lemongrass and greeted with a smile. I enjoy talking to the staff about the culture and the food. I recommend this place to anyone who wants some seriously delicious Thai food at a very reasonable price.

Favorite Appetizer: Prawn Wraps and Crispy Tofu.
Favorite Soup: Tom Kha (Coconut Milk Soup) with Chicken
Favorite Entree: Pad Kra Proa (Basil) with a side of Jasmine Rice
Favorite Curry: Red or Duck Curry
Favorite Drink: Thai Iced Tea or Thai Iced Coffee

All I have to say is the day I move to my next unit, I'm gonna truly miss this place and all the staff that have made it memorable.

I've eaten at every Thai food place in Petaluma. Although some others are decent, Lemongrass Thai easily takes the win on this one. Their food is delicious, flavorful & presented nicely. The atmosphere is pleasant, decorated nicely, nice low lighting & definitely the locals favorite gem.

My favorite dish: The red curry with chicken. I get it every single time. I am truly an addict. It has a nice little kick to it, too.

Their Pad Thai is also yummy, as well as the Chicken Satay with peanut sauce. My Dad has many faves their as well. We have stopped going to the other local Thai places for the most part. Sorry guys!

The service is perfect for me, because the waitress walks up and asks me if I want the Red Curry again. She remembered me after 2 visits and now it's automatic. Nice. The food always arrives quickly as well, and usually ready in 10 minutes for take-out.

Well, what are you waiting for? Go get some!!!  :)

This is the best Thai food I've had in the bay area.

The food is prepared with fresh ingredients, and is served in great portions. They offer a variety of curries in which to prepare your dish so there is something for everyone.

Everything I've ordered here has been consistently good and the customer service is prompt, and very friendly.

The place is very clean and never crowded.

I'm not sure if it's great. I've only tried it once. I had a Chicken Pad Thai and a papaya salad to go. Both around 8 dollars (total 17.44) The noodles were excellent and well flavored, lots of good chicken and stuff.
I always remember I really don't like a lot of papaya salad, that being said. This version seemed good.
The decor is shockingly nice for a strip mall location between big five and a barbershop. The service, such as it is during a slow period for take out, was good. The young waitress was very friendly. But one person, slow period, take out, not a true test. Again, the decor was very nice. It could be the contrast between the strip mall and the interior, and I rated it too high, but at the very least, solid and very clean.
I wander if Papaya salad is good the second day? Would def go back and might bump it up, depending on the consistency of the menu.

This is my daughter (who is 2) and my favorite restaurant. The chicken satay and peanut sauce are perfect, all of their curries are sweet, spicy  and fresh, and I crave the salad that comes with your meals (they make an amazing Thai dressing that makes me want to lick the bowl). They are very family friendly; It is hard to find a place that has great food,  nice atmosphere (which is surprising being in a shopping center) and that a toddler is welcome at! We have become such locals they now know our orders by heart.  Just writing this is making me crave their satay...

Wasn't sure what to expect since this place is in a strip mall, but it was great!  I had the stir-fried basil the first time I went-- YUMMY!  The service was fantastic & the prices were very reasonable (especially for Petaluma).
I also recommend the drunken noodles - mmmmm spicy goodness!

This place is right up there with Sea Thai, but costs half as much and the service is better!

Visiting from SoCal and decided to come here for dinner with some family and friends. We decided to do family style so we ordered red curry, chicken satay, mint chili chicken, and spicy noodle with beef.

I have to say, I have had way better thai. The red curry was watery, maybe they didn't add enough coconut or something. The spicy noodle was interesting. The noodles were very mushy and too soft. We asked them to make it spicy, but it was still weak. The other dishes were just okay, I would only come back here for the chicken satay.

    Service was nice...very attentive.
    Decor is simple and nice.

Probably the highlight of the night, the waitress accidentally poured water into my wine glass. But she was nice and apologize. Came back with a full glass! Yay!

Went here back in the summer of 2009 , but too lazy to review until now.
Best cocounut curries we've had - not "watery".
Service was super-friendly, not forced or overbearing, and our glasses of water were promptly topped-off.
We recommend the pumpkin and red curries, which have an ample amount of food, and are not too sweet.
    Good vegetarian selection.
    Good prices.
Good ambiance for a strip mall location.

I found myself in Petaluma the other day looking for lunch and happened accross this little thai place.

It is tucked away inside of a strip mall.  Who knew, there would be such a cute little restaurant with good food hidden within all the strip mall clutter.  I figured it would be worth checking out since at 12:10 it was pretty full of locals.  Not too full tho, because we were seated right away.

I started lunch with a light veggie soup which was delicious.  Followed by a veggie yellow curry.  The curry was very flavorfull and a little on the spicy side for me (but some of you might like that).

I would definately go here again.

They bring you complimentry crispy fried chips and a sweet dipping sauce while you waite for your food to arrive. I love the pumpkin curry but it can be very spicy.. you might want to order this mild if you can't handle too spicy. They make a great thai iced tea as well. The prices are very reasonable. It's amazing what's tucked away in this strip mall//shopping center! I'm not sure what's up with having so many Thai restaurants in Petaluma, but I hope this one makes it. Kind, friendly service. Simple but pleasant decor. And, terrific food. We haven't worked our way through the entire menu, but the favorites thus far include the fried fish and green apple salad (a great mix of texture and flavors), honey barbequed pork, and any of the curries (although we can't stop eating the pumpkin curry). Prices are reasonable to boot.
