Outstanding!

Rachel Moran of LegalHire is outstanding!  If you are seriously looking to make a change in your career, or just looking to make a move, Rachel's your woman.

Case and Point...  I was interested in making a change as my previous employer did not offer opportunities to "climb the corporate ladder" so to speak... I decided it was time to jump ship and sail off in my little tiny boat into the sunset.  I submitted my resume to and met with sooooo many agencies/recruiters who, in face to face meetings, appeared to be listening to my wants and not wants.  However, in reality they continuously submitted my resume and sent me out on interviews with companies I had no interest in working for.  In my world it's called practice groups; my interest is in corporate, but some how this translated into litigation (two very different animals).  These other recruiters continuously tried to convince me to go on interviews of which I had no interest in; WTF people are you not listening to me?  And isn't the point of, when one is looking for a new job, one is trying to find a PERFECT fit.

Thus I began to realize that the umpteen recruiters I had been dealing with had NO clue as to what I had been looking for and really didn't give a rats arse about wasting my time or the time of the interviewer, they only saw me as marginal profit.  Very frustrating as my search took more than a year and consisted of many meetings with many recruiters who sent me on interviews with people I found to be rather snobish (the "gatekeepers" as one interviewer put it.  Whateva!!!)

AUGH!  I finally threw in the towel and gave up my search as it was exhaustive and appeared to be a complete waste of time, not to mention a bruise to the ego.  Now please understand, when interviewing for "larger" firms, there are several rounds of interviews, and I, in most cases, was asked to return for 2nd, 3rd interviews.  So yes, was a big disappointment when meeting certain interviewers who felt their shit didn't stink (okay, I'm digressing).

Alas, one day I received an email introduction from Rachel Moran; she found my resume listed on CL and asked me to call her.  We talked over the phone, then arranged to meet at her office to discuss potential positions.  When talking with Rachel, she listened, I mean really LISTENED to what I wanted and understood exactly what I ws looking for.  That is, she asked the probing question "where do you see yourself in 5yrs".  Ah Haah!  By her taking an interest in my future I realized I was dealing with someone who pays attention to detail, someone who actually specializes in her field and is a serious professional; awesome!.  When leaving I knew Rachel would be the one to send me to that one company who was more deserving of my good efforts and excellent performance skills, a company that would snap me up quickly!

So the long and the short of it... In a years time I signed up with at minimum 15 agencies, met with about 17 recruiters and Rachel was the ONLY one who 1) listened and set up interviews with the companies I WANTED TO MEET WITH;  2) was efficient in submitting my resume to potential employers and quick in getting me into more than a handful of interviews in a shorten amount of time (she found me a job in less than 3 weeks of our meeting (impressive); 3) was the only recruiter who not only checked in with me almost daily, but asked for my feedback in what I thought about the interview(s); and  4) was very honest with regard to certain available positions (basically available positions working along side impossible people), 5) always inquired as to my feedback with regard to the interviewers (yes, I rated those "gatekeepers" in which I failed to impress).

So Folks within the legal community, if you are seriously looking to make a move, call Rachel, as stated, she's good and gets the job done.
