7 reviews for Legal Sea Foods
This restaurant is located at Sawgrass Mills Mall so parking is a hassle but if you are alreay there, it's a nice place to eat. They have a delicious lobster bisque and wonderful lobster roll for lunch. They also have one of my favourite drinks of all time though I think it's no longer listed on the menu (you can still ask for it). It is called "April-ade" and is made with a very sweet, heavy lemonade at the bottom and on top of that is a really light, tasty (not sweet) cherry tea. Yum, heaven!
I've never eaten anything but the seafood there but my boyfriend has and he hates it! (He's allergic to fish so he's forced to order other things) He says the "regular" food is terrible. I can only give a seafood review though and so this gets 4 stars from me!
Well, let's see. This restaurant is located inside of Sawgrass Mall, no surprise there.
My ex boyfriend once told me that he can judge the quality of the food by checking out it's customers. His theory is that old people know what they're doing when it comes to food, so if you see a place that is packed with senior citizens, you know the food is good. I guess it's an alright theory.
I digress, the food itself is pretty good and made for great leftovers the following day. Prices are what you would expect for a typical seafood restaurant.
Caution: this might not be the place to stroll in wearing shorts and a tank top...perhaps during the day but not at night.
This place is CLOSED!!! Shut Down. Was walking by there this Saturday at Sawgrass and its all gone.

I have nothing bad to say about this place. The food was simply amazing, it was a rather large party… Read more »
A really good seafood restaurant for what it sets out to be. The setting is Sawgrass Mills mall isn't the best, but if you're anyway heading for the mall and want good grub it is a good option.
The place is what I'd call casual posh and in the evening I'd perhaps feel slightly uncomfy walking in with shorts and a t-shirt but for lunch it's ok.
We had the "Tortilla, Apple and Goat Cheese Salad" and "Louisiana Gumbo", both excellent.
Comment on an earlier review - the odd legal in the name stems from some old "Legal Stamps" reward program. They have the history on the table placemats for your perusal.
I would have really hated it if I was eating illegal seafood. What makes Legal seafood legal? Still clueless, but I can vouch that it has really good popcorn shrimp! Gimme some hot sauce and ketchup and I went to town on my platter. So-so lobster bisque. I treated my bf to a late lunch at this Sawgrass Mills locale (in the Oasis end of the mall).
Had a friendly server and a good table spot.
The Sangria's at this joint are insane!
This restaurant originated in Boston (same name) and their seafood is guaranteed fresh. It's the only place I'll order raw shellfish like oysters as I know they are completely reputable. Their lobster is good too. Grilled fish you can find in many good fish houses, but shellfish is what this place excels at! Go, even if they have a cheesey mall location, the food is great.
