I got married on August 20th and used Lee's Florist and Nursery for the wedding. I was so impressed with the bouquets! They did an amazing job and were very professional. They spent time showing me pictures and helping me with ideas! They had great communication and they staff was very sweet! My flowers turned out better than I imagined! I would recommend Lee's Florist and Nursery to anyone!

Flowers were arranged nicely, and they provided green filler, but the all the flowers in the shop were looking droopy (maybe i went on a bad day?). I'm used to cut flowers lasting a couple weeks in the vase. The arrangement I got from Lee's didn't make it 5 days.
Prices are great and Nina was really helpful even close to closing. -

I walked in with an orchid to repot when he told me it was dead. It made me very sad to find that out. I walked around the store to see what I could buy....when I returned to him to pay, he had potted an orchid for me for free!! It's the small thing that makes you want to come back again. Thank you.

I came to Lee's Florist to check out what they had to offer for my wedding flowers. After spending one minute in the shop I knew I wouldn't have to shop around any more. I sat down with Wilton and explained to him what I was looking for, keeping in mind my budget. He figured out exactly what I needed from our talk and some pictures I brought in, and at what I consider to be a very reasonable price. They did my bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres for the family and wedding party. Everything looked AMAZING, I was so happy and relieved when I saw everything on the wedding day. Thanks so much for making my wedding beautiful!

Lee's is truly a great flower shop and seems very reasonably priced to me. For some reason I always feel like I've spent too much when I buy cut flowers but not so here. Easy to work with and nice made to order arrangements!

This is way overdue, but I want to make sure Lee's and Nina get the outstanding review that they deserve. They did a stellar job on our wedding in July 2010.
Nina is the best! Definitely our favorite vendor to work with. Friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. I'm a designer, so I'm sure I was a very difficult bride to please. However, Nina not only understood the style we were going for, but she worked closely with me on the event design for the wedding. She even met with me twice at the venue to go over everything. I felt like she was as invested in all the little details as I was.
A couple months after we had selected Lee's as our florist, we heard that Nina had to take some time off for personal reasons. Roslyn took over for her and was assigned our event. Roslyn wasn't too bad to work with, but she just wasn't quite as creative and energetic as Nina was. But still, we felt that we were in pretty good hands.
2 months before the wedding, I received a call from Nina saying that she was back in the shop and really excited to work on our wedding. So glad to finish things with Nina! During that final week, we received responses to our emails at 1am in the morning. Talk about dedication. Days before the wedding, Nina and I sat down and went through every item on our list of floral arrangements to make sure everything was correct and to figure out ways to cut back on the cost. It's really nice to have a vendor who is so understanding and reasonable when it comes to cost.
On the day of the wedding, Nina and her crew rocked! Some of the staff at the venue were being extremely difficult and unreasonable. They wouldn't let the crew unload the flowers and as a result $500 worth of orchids wilted in a humid storage room. The orchids were supposed to be the finishing touches on our centerpieces, so Nina and the crew scrambled to pick up additional flowers to make up for the missing orchids. I honestly did not notice that there were orchids missing - everything was absolutely stunning! Our floral arrangements were so unique and gorgeous. Suited the style of wedding so well. My bridal bouquet was incredible. I had previously told Nina to remove the calla lilies to reduce the cost of the bouquet significantly. She threw them in there for free.
I am so glad we chose to work with Lee's and Nina. Excellent customer service and quality products. Such talented and truly wonderful people. We ended up spending quite a bit more on flowers than we had originally budgeted. However, we definitely got our money's worth! -

Every neighborhood should have a florist as friendly, accommodating and talented as Lee's! Plantophiles will be thrilled with their selection of traditional and exotic flowers. Drought? What drought?! These babies are fresh and vibrant, and the keen eye and style of the crew makes them shine.
I came in with a crisp Jackson, hoping to adorn a table, and was awarded a lovely arrangement perfect for the setting, vase and all! All evening yelpers asked me where the centerpiece was created. Kudos, Lee's!
Should you need a card, basket or ornamental trunk, they've got ya covered. No need to disappoint mom or your paramour now. Springing for the uber fancy producers just isn't necessary, their greenhouse and thumb will whip up wonders!Listed in: Downtown Berkeley, Event Planning 101, Awesome Owners, how romantical!

Arlene works here. She is the best florist. She was really helpful with ideas within our budget. She arranged all of the flowers, bouquets, decorations at the reception, etc. During the day of the wedding, she deliver the flowers to my mom's house, my house, and the church. Afterward, she decorated the reception area and the cake.
Excellent customer service. I would recomment her service to everyone. -

I've used Lee's for random occasions and have always been pleased. So pleased in-fact that I referred a few clients of mine to them for their weddings.
ALL of the people that I sent to Lee's loved the service they received and from a guests point of view, they were beautifully done.
Apparently, weddings are what Lee's specialize in but even with my small request of living room cheer , they always come out superbly. (I think they only use fresh flowers because they last a super long time too) -

Nina, of Lee's Florist provided the beautiful flowers for my wedding last October. She did an amazing job, greatly exceeding our expectations! She provided many more flowers than promised and really worked with us to create a custom experience. Highly recommended!

As the maid of honor, I went with the bride to florist shops. Other places gave her a huge quote even though she told them she was on a budget. But when we came to see Arlene, she was understanding, very friendly (not in a fake way) and was very attentive to the bride's wants and needs. She kept really good notes too.
The wedding will be next month, but I am positive Arlene will do a great job! I've suggested Lee's Florist to many of my friends too! And when I get married, I'm definitely going to Lee's! -

It's becoming harder and harder to remember the time when you not only received a quality product, but a first class customer service experience. However, I was quickly reminded when I called and spoke with Nina about a vase I wanted her to fill with a bouquet. Nina told me to come right down and she would make something wonderful. WOW was she not kidding. In less that 30 minutes she had created a HUGE wonderful arrangement. I can honestly say the best I have ever purchased. Not to mention her sweet demeanor, obvious talent and very reasonable pricing! To top it off, she even specially packed it in a box so it would survive the ride home! I've uploaded 2 pictures of the masterpiece! THANK YOU!

The folks here are so nice, Wilton and Nina are the best. They make all types of beautiful arrangements for all occasions and events. The staff will listen to you, make helpful suggestions, and all for a reasonable price (e.g. within your budget). They've also been around for a long long time, I think since the 70s, no wonder!

Lee's did the flowers for our lesbian wedding in Sept. 2010 and I have to say they were phenomenal.
I was a bit of a worrisome bride but Nina worked her magic on me. She was able to find out just what I wanted and then make it even 10 times more beautiful.
She was able to handle us so professionally and put all our worries at ease.
Nina when above and beyond her job, she helped us save money where we could and then added little finishing touches that looked like a million dollars.
I cannot sing Nina's praises enough and on top of all of that we stayed UNDER our budget!
YAY NINA! and YAY Lee's florist!
GREAT GREAT job -

Lee's saved my ass today. It's my Mom's Birthday and I totally forgot (oops). While I was driving down University cursing myself for being a space-cadet, the illustrious open sign beamed at me from Lee's flower shop. The pale pink roses they had were perfect, and they even had a nice card selection to go with it. Thanks again guys!

this place is a family business in its third generation. i've been here only a few times, but i love the personal attention, the affordable prices, and the incredibly fresh and beautiful flowers.
i got here in a rush once in dire need of a birthday bouquet - yes, i was being snappy and maybe even bitchy because i was running late. the owner's daughter put together an amazing bouquet of such gorgeous flowers that later when i brought it to the party, it got more compliments than the special order flower arrangements.
and here's the best part - it was only $30. rightfully, the bouquet should have been at least $60. they get shipments of fresh flowers every day, so go support your local family owned business instead of picking up wilting flowers from nearby adronico's. -

this is the most amazing florist i've ever been to! Lee is so great! A friend of mine went into the hospital, and I had a super busy day working and I didn't get a chance to get any flowers until after all the floral shops were closed. I called Lee and even though he had been closed for about twenty minutes, he made me a bouquet and stayed in the shop for me. I asked for the nicest arrangement he could give me for about $12 because I didn't have much money. It was sooo beautiful!!! I would love to have them prepare the flowers for my wedding, but I'm pretty sure it will be in Southern California. Definitely purchase your flowers here, they are soo sweet and very caring! :)

These guys rock. I've ordered from them over the years, and the value only gets better. These guys do a great job of designing the bouquet, and although I don't look at prices at a good florist, they are very reasonable (compared to the city, for example).

What can I say, I love this place. I found them through Yelp and am so grateful! Nina was awesome. She helped to design the most beautiful wedding flowers I have seen. I walked in with a very minimal budget, and rather than trying to up-sell me, or telling me that it wouldn't be possible to work in that range, she made it work...and made it work beautifully. They have been in business a long time and have relationships with local farmers that allow them to offer deals and quality that other shops just can't. At any other shop, my budget would have left me with bouquets of carnations and babies-breath. Instead we had gorgeous cymbidium orchids, gardenias and roses.
I can't say enough about this place. They are warm, talented and generous. I love them and I am confident you will too! -

Lee's was the florist at my wedding last weekend and WOW! They did such an absolutely incredible job. From the boutonnieres to the ceremony floral arrangements, everything was spectacular. They were able to work with me around a fairly strict budget and I was still able to have beautiful flowers for everyone and every table. They put together two ceremony arrangements that were placed on either side of us and they were some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. When we initially had our consultation they got a good feel for what I wanted and without much else from me they did the best job I could have asked for and captured exactly what I wanted in their magnificent flowers. I am so grateful to them and I hope that if you are planning a wedding and are still looking around for a good florist you can stop right here and trust that Lee's florist will take good care of you. And did I mention that they are some of the nicest people you will ever work with!

Nina did the flowers for my wedding in October 2008. She is the BEST! I was the WORST bride ever and knew nothing about flowers or what I wanted or what would work. She was very patient with me and sat with us to discuss ideas on her own time on a weekend. She walked us through all the details and gave us great ideas. When it came down to it, I told her what I like and don't like and left everything up to her tasteful judgment. And she really came through. The flowers at our wedding were more gorgeous than I had dreamt and she made the arrangements and centerpieces bigger than what I would have been content with. Everyone, especially our mothers and their friends and other family members, were very impressed with the flowers and everyone vied to take a centerpiece or arrangement home with them. By the end of the night, there were NO arrangements left because friends or family had taken them all home. My mother-in-law took 3! Months after the wedding, we still get compliments about the flowers! Our wedding was such a memorable and eventful day....and the only thing that I never worried about once that day were my flowers....because I knew that Nina would take care of me. And she totally did. Thanks and we love you!!!

Nina did an amazing job at our August 15th wedding. She was very detail oriented and wanted to make sure the flowers were just what we wanted. Everything turned out beautifully, and she delivered our flowers early so they would be in the pictures we were taking beforehand. We got so many compliments on the arch piece and the centerpieces! My bouquet was gorgeous too (bright purple orchids and bright orange calla lilies). Not only that, but she's so sweet and was very fun to work with. I recommend her to any bride! She will calm your nerves and provide moral support throughout the entire process. While Nina is perfectly willing and able to do something extravagant if that's what you want, she is also great at helping people on a budget and has lots of creative ideas. While we stayed within our budget, you wouldn't know how relatively little we paid for flowers because of how beautiful everything looked! I'm very happy with this wedding decision. :)

This place is amazing. Not only is their selection fantastic and their prices competitive, but the owner could not be nicer and more helpful. I wandered in with two friends looking for a house-warming gift and spent at least 20 minutes throwing asinine questions at him about all the different plants in his shop. He was incredibly friendly and made sure to help us find the perfect gift and wrap it up at no extra charge. For a store that has been in the same location for over 60 years, this place has not lost its charm or its edge. I wouldn't shop anywhere else.

Nina at Lee's Florist was beyond helpful. She designed beautiful arrangements that came in under our relatively small budget, and she was friendly and personable throughout the entire process. A friend designed and made our vases, which we loved, but on the morning of the wedding, Nina noticed that about half of them were leaking badly. Major disaster? Not with Nina. The flowers she uses are so fresh that she was able to remove the water from the vases, and the flowers held up fine, not only for that night but for a couple of days after. Amazing.

Wow. Wow. Just, wow. Nina (Arlene) just created the most beautiful arrangements for our wedding. Really stunning. And she was so amazingly sweet and responsive throughout my year and a half of wedding planning. I highly recommend using Lee's for your wedding flowers. Make sure you ask for Nina! She really listens to you and works hard to give you what you want, while still adding her own careful and creative flourishes. She is also committed to helping you stay within your budget and incredibly generous with her time and resources. Thank you, Nina! You're the best!!

Lee's Florist is great! I love patronizing a local small business owned by generations of nice people. I had my wedding flowers done here more years ago than I'd like to admit, and I'm still happily buying flowers from them all this time later. They really know their flowers and always have a good selection of healthy-looking flowers. They treat you like their most important customer whether your order is tiny or giant. They're always so willing to work with you to help you get what you want within your budget. If you know in advance what you want, they're happy to special order. If you're on a budget, they're really nice about letting you buy just a stem or two of something special and adding filler so it doesn't look so chintzy. When I was a young, broke mom donating my own very limited money to buy a few flowers so that my Girl Scout troop could make May Day garlands for their heads, they were kind enough to realize that when my budget ran out, even with their good suggestions I sure didn't have very many flowers for the number of girls I was working with, and they volunteered to donate a lot of their 'tired' flowers (that a grocery store would still consider sellable) to the girls! I will always appreciate that, and it made a memorable day for the girls, who are all grown up now and still remember that magical May Day. The girls that I'm still in touch with who have gotten married in this area have all gotten their wedding flowers there (and, I might add, have all been very happy with the decision.) Lee's can also save you money by suggesting things that are inexpensive but look nice, that have a lot of bulk or a lot of bang per buck, or alternatively by doing an arrangement that is more restrained Asian good taste than American over-abundance. They also have a small but carefully chosen selection of plants, vases, cards, balloons and miscellaneous gifts. I have a very minor complaint, not enough to dock them a star, but worth mentioning--a lot of their pre-made bouquets look a little stodgy and dated. However, if you know what you want, or even if you don't and are willing to be guided by them and do something less "safe," they can come up with some very pretty looser, more creative and more modern-looking arrangements. They can also duplicate just about anything you've seen in a magazine. Why buy ordinary grocery store flowers when you can get just what you want at Lee's?
