This place is a classic! It has changed a bit since I was a student several years ago (it's nicer and has an expanded menu). But it still maintains the same great vibe. Super adorable little convenience store/deli in the basement of a house. Love the charm!! I actually have dreams about juicy burgers to this day. Sometimes I think about driving from KC just to grab lunch here. I hope this place is in business for another 85 years!

I really want to give LSD 5 stars, but alas I cannot. Their food is delicious, don't get me wrong. From their juicy burgers (a seasoned sloppy joe) to the delectable pepper turkey melt, the sandwiches are incredible.
Another great idea that LSD uses to their advantage is opening from 1-3 am on Fridays and Saturdays to serve up a limited menu to their college crowd who has had a very "enjoyable" night.
What is not great about this establishment is their poor and somewhat rude service. The management changed about a year ago and since then the new employees are very short and rude. It's not a fun time to head into LSD and I hope their attitude changes.
PS: The juicy burger special is the best in town. 2 for $3 on Tuesdays. -

I can't even count how many times I ate here when I lived in east campus. Lee Street Deli(LSD) is in this old house turned corner store turned restaurant. They have a bunch of sandwiches to choose from or you can make your own. They have quite the variety of cheeses, vegetables (artichokes!), and condiments so you can create the perfect sandwich. Their juicy burgers are very popular and cheap, along with their hot dogs and nachos. Breakfast is also available.
Good chip selection and they also carry toiletry products, candy, cigarettes, condoms, notebooks, bottled beverages etc. Friday nights they reopen at 1am for the those with the munchies. -

Columbia, MO
I've lived in Columbia for 6 years and this was the first time I've been here. The juicy burger appears to be their specialty. Which is essentially a sloppy Joe with cheese and other burger toppings. Try it if you want a quick cheap taste of Columbia tradition!
