I just spent one night here and it was fabulous! When I arrived I didn't expect the hotel to be located in such a quiet little nook of WeHo. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and I even got upgraded to a one bedroom suite, when I only originally booked a jr. suite.
The room was bigger than most apartments! I had 2 tv's a full kitchen and a great balcony with a view of downtown LA. The front desk gave me some time to settle in, then they called to make sure everything was to my liking.
I ordered room service twice and both times the food was great and prompt. I loved the little cookies and chocolate covered strawberry plate I was given just before turning in.
When I left, the front desk had my car waiting and the check out was super fast. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to all of my friends who travel to LA.
Thanks!

Weekend-Get-A-Way @ $189
Sarah and I decided to try this hotel, due to the great reviews on yelp. The service was excellent from start to finish. Once I valeted my car, the front desk, Oliza, quickly welcomed me and helped me to check in. It took less than 3 minutes with professionalism.
The room I got was spacious and cozy--a lounging area with an armchair, long sofa, coffee table, end table, and desk. The bed was firm and comfortable, which faced a fireplace. A large LG flat-screen TV and a Playstation to entertain. The marble-floor bathroom was clean and it's worth to mention two things: 1. the shower and faucet were very quit. 2. the personal products they offered were in great quality. There were moisturizing soap for face, and a scrub soap for body. These might not be big deals but were details that indicated careful thoughts.
Roof-top Pool:
I had read a book up there in the afternoon, the view and atmosphere were amazing and relaxing. If it's not too cold or windy, the night view was fantastic as well.
Mid-night snacks:
We got back around 12:30 am and there was a cute plate of cookies and chocolate dipped strawberry await. A service we did not order but what a surprise. Sweet, both the cookie and thought.
Check-out:
We decided to have another day here, and the front desk arranged it quickly without a problem. When we decided to check out later that evening instead of staying for another day, the front desk graciously only charge us for half-day.
Overall, they were very attentive and willing to make a wonderful experience to the guests. The staffs were friends, the setting was chic but not up-tight. The location was convenient to bars and clubs with short walking distance--that made last-call more fun! The only issue was parking for visitors: They should have a parking arrangement for visitors instead of a flat rate--something more reasonable. I hope the parking issue will be solved next time when I visit.
Suggestions for Yelpers: Be specific of what you would like in your reservation, and when you are at the front desk, just ask. They are more than happy to accommodate.
I'm not sure what to classify this hotel. It's not the typical Hollywood boutique hotel since it's not uptight.
First impressions:
- $28 parking in a terrible lot that reminds me of an old Chinatown underground casino.
- Rooftop pool was decent, if you want a view of the neighbors' patios
- Once I jumped into bed, I realized that we'd be spending most of the night in rather than out on the town as we originally planned.
- Fully-stocked mini-bar if you want a $3 can of coke.
- Decent bathroom with adequate goodies but the shower liner reminded me of a dorm shower.
- Free wifi access.
The hotel itself was kind of bipolar which gave it personality, I suppose. You have a super chic lobby but an awful parking garage. Nice bathroom amenities but paint peeling from under the sink. Delivered ice but dirty ice buckets.
For its location and its overall comfort, I could not ask for more. If you're looking to spend a weekend out on the town, this would be ideal. You can walk to the Sunset Strip (even in heels) or cab around if you prefer.

When I had money this use to be a regular getaway spot for me. Nowadays I just refer friends and reap the benefits.
Located on a quiet street just 2 blocks from Sunset Strip, Le Montrose features large split-level studio and one-bedroom apartments that feel more like comfortable, upscale condos than hotel rooms. Each contemporary-style suite has a large living room with gas fireplace, dining area, comfortable sleeping nook, and very nice bathroom. Executive and one-bedroom suites have kitchenettes which can be stocked upon request. The two bedrooms are a great deal for families or sharing friends.
The rooftop pool is amazing! The view is unreal! Once you're up there, you can swim in the saltwater pool, soak in the Jacuzzi, or brush up on your tennis game. There is also a spa and cabanas.
Every photo Le Montrose has on their website is exactly what you get!
I recommend this hotel for Young singles, honeymoon, A romantic getaway, Girlfriend getaway, Older travelers, Great pool scene, Families with young children, Families with teenagers, Tourists

This will be where I stay whenever I am visiting LA. Room or should I say apartment was a huge size for a hotel. You didn't even feel like you were staying at a hotel especially with a door bell for your room. Plus its location is perfect if you are running around the West Hollywood and Beverly Hills area. Parking garage was like any other parking garage, they do offer valet so you don't have to go through the hassle of parking it yourself and its the same price of $28 a night.
I spent one night at the Montrose, on a Saturday night and it was only $161 for a queen size bed. I love this place. It has a nice pool on the roof and the staff is super friendly. It is located in a quiet neighborhood in West Hollywood.

This place is a great place to stay. I got a great deal from http://hotels.com and I was pleasantly suprised what I got. The junior suite is a great deal. The modern look is very appropriate for getting the West Hollywood feel. The location is very close to Santa Monica Blvd that you can walk to all the popular gay clubs, shopping, and restaurants. You Rock!
what a sweet place. too bad it's not by the beach or the mountains but good old boring hollywood area.
the rooms are quite spacious. no clunky odd shaped furniture taking up space. every room comes equipped with a fireplace, a dvd and stereo system, a decent sized kitchenette and large dinning room area. the couch in the mini living room is a foldout for party crashers and the bathroom, complete with bathtub is large enough to hold an orgy of 10.
there is a pool upstairs that overlooks the city for the ultimate l.a. living experience and security is cool even if you're making tons of noise at 3am. good and quick room service as well.
it's not cheap but you definitely get your money's worth.

Cute, quiet hotel. The lobby smells like vanilla. The people who work there are nice. And the rooms are really clean & comfy. Really convenient location too. My only complaint is that the bed felt like it was drooping in the middle. Which caused me to be sleeping at an angle.
There's also a rooftop pool, which I woke up too late to enjoy having breakfast at (damn fuckers who wake up early and take up all the spots), and a mini gym which is actually decent to get weightlifting in.
Plus, it's fun to go for a morning run through Beverly Hills, and feel poor as you look at all the houses.

As anyone who has read my reviews knows, I am usually generous. I usually like EVERYTHING. Sadly, this was not to be the case at The Le Montrose Suite hotel. We arrived Friday night around 11pm, to find that they had absolutely no record of our reservation, and we are sent to what is obviously NOT a one bedroom suite. The front desk clerk, while well meaning, just could not comprehend what my reservation was for, even when shown the printut from THE HOTEL WEBSITE...we decide to make due with some sort of curtain partitioned "junior suite" The living room tv is a big boxy Zenith, the kind you can get for free on craigslist. When we open the minibar we find that long long ago, a coke exploded, corroding everything. We call the front desk, and immediately the rudest security guard in the history of the world i dispatched. " Why would you put a coke in the freezer?" he asks us. I inform him its old and dry, and NOT from us...." Do you expect me to clean it?" I guess not! He leaves. One shining positive is the location, we are able to walk up to Sunset, and have some fun. Later that night we have the music on (from the archaic Sony player) it is on level 18, Over the WALL MOUNTED $99 AIR CONDITIONERS, It is impossible to hear from even our balcony, the only way it could be heard, is standing at our front door. Ding! Rude Security guard at the door, he rudely informs us that we can have NO music or TV on. I m sorry, but you can ask me to turn it down if someone complained (which nobody did, because nobody could hear it) but to tell me I must sit silently in my room, I don't think so. The next morning, more confusion, everyone insisting, even while looking at my reservation (which clearly stated "one bedroom suite" that we were in the right suite...."It has no wall!!" I say, finally they move us to the room that is rightfully ours, nicer, better, but still, broken cabinet handles, reeks of smoke, no toiletries...And what of the night we spent in the too small suite? We are offered free parking, at least the man at the desk who does this is polite. Of all the eight or so employees I encountered, a total of four were nice. The room service man, man who checked us in (he messed up, but at least smiled), the parking valet, and the man who (eventually) fixed the reservation, and comped our parking. Everyone else (most notably the security guard, he needs to go back to working the door at the Whiskey or something where he can be a little rough) was sooooo rude and condecending. I would NEVER stay here again, and am Thanking the lord up above that I can get into a Villa @ The Sunset Marquis this weekend.

I LOVE this hotel. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Best kept secret in Hollywood? Shhhh.... probably not for long. I have stayed at numerous hotels in Hollywood and this is IT. Ever since my first stay, there is no other hotel for me!
Quietly nestled halfway down the hill on Hammond it is perfect stumbling distance to my favorite West Hollywood bars and shops. The rooms are exquisite. It is, after all, a SUITE hotel. When we stay, we opt for the Executive, which is perfect for a quick getaway weekend in Hollywood. I am often tempted to hit the liquor store, order in, and party like an It Girl. The dressing room is HUGE... love it, reminds me of Old Hollywood with a Fusion twist, and the suites offer all the amenities of home away from home. And the rooftop pool? Oh yes!!!

A great boutique hotel nestled in a quaint West Hollywood neighborhood. But wait....it's only a few hundred feet from Sunset. So if you want to liven up the scene it is rather easy.
The place was almost completely renovated when I was there in fall '07. They may be done by now. The roof top pool has a great view and the little lounge area is comfortable and great for a drink.

So I didn't really have time to check out the pool, or the hotel restaurant, or the hotel bar, but damn that fluffy hotel bed was comfortable. They should sell those in a box. I'd call it Hotel Bed in a Box. Includes mattress, 4 million thread count sheets, and excessive pillows. Yummm luxuriousness.
And the room was huge! Plenty of space for 3 people to get ready for prom - showering, blow-drying, aqua-netting, make-upping, dressing, accessorizing.
And room service was not bad!

I stayed here for 2 weeks for work a couple of years ago. What a fantastic place! The best thing about this hotel? It's actually quiet. It's not on Sunset, it's not on even remotely busy street. It's right in the middle of a residential area. I felt like I was staying in a celebrity hide away!
The suite I had was just amazing. It had a separate seating/living room area from the bedroom. A wall didn't separate the 2 rooms, it was more like a half wall that had curtains that you could draw between the 2. Really nice bathrooms. It was decorated nicely without that too fake cookie cutter feel.
The nice thing about the location is that you could take a walk in either direction and find soimething to occupy your time with whether on Santa Monica or on Sunset.
The one thign I did notice whe I was here is that it seems to be also a place that rcovering plastic surgery patients go to. Or maybe it's where the plastic surgeons have reservations for recovery. I saw two women with bandages on their face and ginormous sunglasses in the lobby checking in. Hmmm.

I'm a total cheap@ss.
Try not to be, but at this case I can't. I was looking for a place to stay because of constant driving back and forth between the valley and home. On a faithful night of prom event that was going to take place in WeHo, it didn't make any sense for me to drive to the valley, then home, then right back up to WeHo. So I decided to check for local hotels or motels around the area.
Scratch the motel part. There weren't that many in the Sunset area unless you are counting Best Western that is located on the middle of the strip. I did search around and most of the hotels were booked for that weekend and the cheaper motels were gone also.
I came across Le Montrose (pronounced Lay -Mont- Rose, not Mon-tross) when I discovered it was located 5 minutes away from Key Club. Major bonus on what I needed.
Here are some of the major points I liked about this hotel:
1) Very spacious of a hotel room. You get a huge living room with a fireplace http://www.yelp.com/bi... with a big TV with plenty of cable channels to go along with it.
2) DVD player and stereo system. My dumb@ss neighbor decided first thing he do is to jack up the sound system next door when he checked in. Thank goodness his wife put a stop to it by bit*hslapping him. I could hear that as her voice was LOUDER than the stereo sound.
3) The Room service. I did take advantage of that. It was no fuss at all and the TBA they gave was accurate. When they stated it will take 25 minutes, the plate of food http://www.yelp.com/bi... came in 25 minutes.
4) The check in and check out are painless. In fact it only took me a few minutes to review and sign to check out.
5) Big bed with plenty of pillow and covers. Even the sofa in the living room is big.
6) The restaurant downstairs is in good hands. Plus they have a lounge with big TV right next to the restaurant..
7) Plenty of soap, shampoo, and other amenities to go to make your stay a luxe lifestyle. Obviously I would have gladly stayed in my room the whole entire time if I wanted to. There is no real reason to get out.
They do have a swimming pool upstairs, but I never got around to check it out as I have to be in and out most of my stay.
This place has a weird design. Supposedly the restaurant reminds some people of Le Parc as they both have the same designer and decorator. The exterior of the building didn't look much because I would have mistaken it for an apartment building. The inside is a whole different story. As the picture of the room can attest.
Oh yes, how much did I pay? I stay at a Junior Deluxe which is smaller than Linny H.'s stay. Paid slightly less than what Linny H. paid for her room per night, but for me it was well worth it. The room before tax was about $250 per night. Yep... not cheap at all.
This was one of my finer stay at a hotel which I can't remembered the last time I had it this good. Definitely not at a Hilton.

I liked this place a lot more than the Sunset Tower/ formerly the Argyle. It is much more comfortable, as far as the rooms, and the front desk staff are friendlier and more efficient. This is tucked away about a block below Sunset, I'd say it's a boutique hotel, but it's not unaffordable. The pool area is very nice, I wish we'd had time to take advantage of it. The bathrooms were quite nice. If there hadn't been so many people packed into our room that were unable to drive, and sleeping all over the floor, I'm sure it would have been extremely comfortable. As it was, we did ok with it. Downside is the underground parking, and when you leave, it takes a while to get your car out. When we were here we had a neighbor blasting music for a while - hopefully that won't happen to you. Overall, a beautiful and comfy, modern place to stay.

What's a prom without an after prom party at a hotel? In comes Le Montrose! It was the closest hotel to the Key Club, barely two blocks away!
Their website was nice and easy to find what I was looking for. I wanted a one bedroom suite for maximum party space. The website advertised $350. Kinda pricey but it was a suite! I called the hotel and with an AAA discount, got it for $50 less! Woo!
Checking in was a breeze. Overnight parking was $24 with in/out privileges. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of Hollywood parking nightmare.
I walked into the room and was very impressed! It was tastefully decorated in mute colors. It had a full kitchen, dining nook, sunken living room with a sofa-bed, balcony facing the streets, one bedroom with a king-sized bed and vanity table, spacious bathroom with tub and separate shower stall and two closets. I think it was an apartment complex converted to a suite hotel. I ordered a roll-away bed just in case someone needed to sleep off the booze. Maid even brought ice for us and a mint when she turns down the bed. Very nice!
Then there was eating and dressing for the prom. Elizabeth D brought food while my guy and I provided liquor! We had a pre-party with Liz plus two of her friends, Harry, Jessica L, James and me! Then I snuck out to the roof. There was a pool with cabanas and a tennis court! The view was pretty awesome! I definitely recommend it!
I wish I could say I was conscious the whole night but I had too many vodkas and passed out. I can with first hand experience say that the bed is freaking amazingly comfortable! I slept like the dead. I heard the after party was hopping and wished I could have made it.
Anyhoo... Le Montrose is a great hotel and worth staying!!

This hotel is a solid 4 stars all the way around!
I had the pleasure of staying at this boutique little bundle of joy the last few nights and the suites are HUUUUGE, the beds are HUUUUUGE, the bathrooms are HUUUUUGE and each room even has a fireplace. Not bad when you are drinking wine and drooling over...errr...um...room service menus.
And the room service, let's just talk about how deelish their menu is. It all comes from the hotel restaurant/lounge called Privato and they have a filet mig there with a red wine reduction that is just glorious. They also have a Chianti that is so perfect that it actually restored my faith in Chiantis. Maybe it was Silence of the Lambs that killed Chianti for me, but wow, I am a believer now, so go ahead and eat my face Hannibal, just gimme a glass of this stuff first!
They also served us a dynomite breakfast and were just so quick and awesome and any little whim we had was taken care of in what seemed like seconds.
So for service, staff, accommodations and the fact that it is pet friendly for a mere deposit, this is a great place to stay if you are looking for a boutique hotel between Sunset and Santa Monica Blvd. Also inquire about their group rates as it seems they become even more reasonable.
Oh, and for those wondering where the last star went. Well, there is a bit of a musky smell. We concluded that it's most likely the types of cleaning products they used, because the place looks clean, there is just that certain something, but we just burned yummy scented candles and all was great in the world :)

One of my favorite vacations is a long weekend in LA. My new favorite place to stay is Le Montrose. The desk staff is lovely, every single person.
The Relaxation: A rooftop pool/Jacuzzi, lounge chairs draped in spa towels, full-restaurant poolside service (but slow and expensive), and a gorgeous view over WeHo to downtown and south or the Hollywood Hills to the north.
The Room: Huge suite-style rooms with a dressing area, chocolate-dipped strawberry turn-down service, flat-screen TVs, huge comfy beds, and modern decor.
The Raucous: Five-minute walk to Santa Monica restaurants, ATMs, gay bars, shopping, and scene. Five minute walk to Sunset restaurants, mixed clubs, shopping, and scene.
The Risk: If drinking heavily, you may never find the hotel. Actually, sober, you may never find the hotel. It is totally hidden in a maze of T-intersecting residential streets. You might need to take a taxi just to find it. Or crash with a local...

I'm not much for spending a lot on a hotel room. If you are staying at a hotel, you are probably not going to be there much right? Also I'm kinda cheap. When I go to Vegas I stay at the Stratosphere or Excalibur. I'm lying. I usually stay at my parents. Anyway, you know where I'm coming from. So when my cousin said he could get me a "deal," how could I say no. More on the "deal" later.
This Hotel is on a small street. I almost missed it. I drive to the front of the hotel and I am met by a very nice guy. He opens my door and welcomes me to the hotel. He parks my car, gets my bags and after I check in, walks me to my room. For a price of course.
When you first walk into the lobby it's beautiful. Shiny and cool. The guys at the desk are wearing way better suits than I have. Everyone is polite and willing to help. Way different than Excalibur (how long are you staying here? Want tickets to a show?). I open the door to the room and I'm stunned. The room is HUGE. At least it is to me. It's brown and the bed is so big you could fit 5,6 people in it at once. Gigidy. Full kitchen. Great living room with a television and stereo. But the best thing in the room was the plasma TV on the bedroom wall.
Later I went downstairs to go into the restaurant, which is right off the lobby. Wow, a celebrity is staying in the hotel. How do I know? Four or five tall, fat guys in suits better than I own are standing around the lobby looking nervous.
Oh yeah, about the deal my cousin got me. Lucky me. It only cost me $500 for two days! I find out when I get home it is a deal since the rooms go for about $500 a night. But no way I would have stayed there if I knew it would cost that much. But I loved my stay. A one time thing. Now back to the Stratosphere err, my parents house.
****************************update 7/15/07*******************************
A month after I stayed at this hotel, a very, very large charge showed up on my credit card. It was a charge for someone's else's room. I talked to the guy in charge of accounting and he says "they told me it should be charged to you." He told me he would "investigate" the charge. Yeah, him and AMEX! Still a beautiful hotel. But I'm taking off two stars for trying to F*** me.
"Sam L. Jackson: Does he look like a bitch?
Brett: Noo!
Sam L. Jackson: Then why are you trying to f*ck him like a bitch, Brett?"

The first time I stayed here was years ago, during the renovation. I had stayed at several boutique hotels on Sunset and was not happy with any of them. My business travel agent recommended this hotel.
I got into LA late and had a hell of a time finding this place. Check in was a make shift suite. So far, not impressed. A porter led me to my room, through a walkway covered in newsprint and plastic (renovation, remember). I was not expecting much, but when the porter opened my hotel room door...WOW!!! The room was gorgeous, with a fire place!! And there was a little tray of cookies and chocolate covered strawberries.
I've stayed here several times since. The parking garage kinda sucks, the spaces are very tight. But the rooms and the service is wonderful. I love that it's walking distance to Sunset, but not on Sunset, where the noise and the crowds can become too much, at least for someone in her thirties, like myself.

WOW, the other reviews pretty much hit the nail on the head for this hotel. AMAZING!! It really is the best kept secret in West Hollywood. From check-in to check-out we had a beautiful stay.
We had upgraded to an Executive Suite which was SO awesome. Really nice size with PLENTY of space. The dressing room in and of itself was totally noteworthy. Loved the layout of the bedroom area with the sunken living room area. While we were out of the suite a lot, we spent several evenings there relaxing and enjoyed it.
We didn't experience the noise problems that were reviewed below. We may have heard our neighbors once of twice but nothing major.
We called for room service 3 times while we were there...twice for evening snacks and once for breakfast. The food was really good. We did think that breakfast was REALLY expensive for what you got but the evening snacks were good. Still, we would do it all again.
We HIGHLY recommend this hotel and can't wait to stay there again. DEFINITELY a nice find for West Hollywood!!

I stay in hotels a lot so when it comes to hotel quality I'm a but of a snob. That being said, this place definitely exceeded my expectations. Absolutely wonderful place to stay!! I stayed here with my family when they were visiting me in LA, so we got 2 connecting suites. Beds are so comfy, amenities are great. It's in a prime location - about 5 blocks south of Sunset in a quiet residential area. Very close to all the touristy stuff like Hollywood, Melrose, Beverly Center, etc. Service is excellent - the staff is friendly and courteous. The hotel was remodeled and the decor is very chic.
Only drawback is that parking is very expensive and there's no on-street parking, since it's residential (permit required). I definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for something that's still LA-chic but not outrageously priced.

We sped off to LA for a quick vacation and overall were very happy with Le Montrose. I'd have given it five stars, but for one problem: the lack of sound-proofing. The staff at the hotel was wonderful--lovely to deal with and very helpful. Our room was decorated nicely, and the bed was very comfortable. Lots of goodies in the bathroom, and the room was spotless. Room service was quick and the food was actually good. And the location is terrific--we took several walks and liked being able to get around a bit without the car. The view from the roof is great, and we enjoyed hanging out up there.
The only issue for me is that you could hear everything from the rooms surrounding our suite. When the folks upstairs wandered around their room at 2 am, we were up too. You could follow phone conversations from next door, and when someone closed a door at our end of the building, you could actually see the walls in our room shake. I don't think anyone was being inconsiderate--it's just a flimsy building. We live in an apartment, so we're used to a certain amount of noise, but this marred an otherwise lovely stay.

So we're poor, have no time and a little one to deal with, so for our Wedding Weekend Extravaganza (where 15 out of town family member converge to see Rice and D finally stop living in sin) we spent 2 nights at Le Montrose.
Could've been the freedom to sleep in, the constant flow of champagne both Friday and Saturday nights, but the room and hotel was just a wonderful time for us. The beds are insanely lush and comfortable. The decor was cute, the room was large, and I adored the huge dressing area with vanity table outside the bathroom. The first night we ordered room service that may have been just before midnight, if not later, and everything was great, along with every condiment or utensil known to man that we might need.
Sadly, we didn't get the chance to swim in the rooftop pool, but we sat up there for awhile before heading off for our busy day of preparing for the evening's celebration. Great view. You can order food from up there or quietly lounge in your own tent.
Staff was courteous and the valet extremely helpful when we wanted a close breakfast place to walk to. Located in a great place if you want to be near Sunset Blvd.
I'm so glad we chose here for our short, quaint "honeymoon."

I had high hopes for this hotel. I used to live near it, and it was always mentioned as a hip, boutique hotel with a great pool. While they do have a rooftop pool with great views, it is a bit small, and there isn't a lot of seating around it. And, during the day, it feels like a library -- everyone is so serious and quiet. The room was nothing impressive. And, the whole parking thing is a pain when it is a separate bill and you have to wait 15 minutes for your car.

I tend to be a very gracious guest and a generous tipper, however, this was the one time in my entire life when I was treated so poorly by my waitress that I told her to go jump off a cliff and left no tip on my $600 lounge bill... this may sound harsh, but it is called a "gratuity" because you leave it as a symbol of your gratitude for great service, not for someone ruining your evening.

Best place on the sunset strip to enjoy room service poolside.
I had a three night stay at the hotel on a cross country wedding trip.
The common areas of the hotel are gorgeous. Very hip and happening. The staff is VERY friendly. The junior suite we had was spacious and just what we wanted. The location is really great...close to everything, but on a quiet side street so it's not in the middle of the madness. We had a great stay.
However, I'm deducting one star for the condition of our room. It's in need of renovation. Paint was noticably cracking in several places.
The bathroom was far from the standards of the common areas. The plastic parts of the showerhead had that grimy discoloration that happens when you don't change the shower head for a few years. The whole shower piping was loose and it would rattle as if it was coming completely out of the wall when you adjusted the showerhead. The part that you're supposed to turn to get the water come out of the showerhead instead of pouring into the bathtub from the faucet at the bottom was so tight my wife couldn't turn it at all.
I know it's "luxurious" to have fluffy, thick bedding, but Le Montrose is taking it to extremes. The bed was uncomfortably soft. Not good for my aging back for sure.
Get some renovation done in this place, especially in the bathroom, and stiffer mattresses and I'd gladly come back. Otherwise, I'm afraid, I'll check in to some other place next time I'm in LA.
This is a great location for the GAYS! It is conveniently located near a ton of We Ho bars, clubs and restaurants. We had a junior suite which was nicely furnished and had a great mini bar. The roof top pool and sundeck is also very nice. The "balcony" is actually just a sliding door that opens to a railing. But overall I think its a great bang for your buck!

this is a fabulous little boutique hotel just off sunset ave in west hollywood. the location is quiet but close to everything on sunset and in west hollywood. plus it's a great value. you def won't break the bank. in spite of the lower cost the staff is still incredibly friendly, nice and helpful. we loved that they sent us tons of extra towels and some complimentary cookies and a chocolate covered strawberry.
our junior suite--like the rest of the place was modern, urban and chic. the queen bed was super comfy and the closet was huge. unfortunately the pullout and the cot were another story. last year i stayed at the beverly hilton and their pullout & cot were just as wonderful as the real bed. not the case here. also one elevator was out of service the entire 2 days we were there. i can't believe they weren't able to to get it serviced immediately. the only other slight let down was the pool was a lot smaller in person than it looks on their website. clever photography. but they have great loungers and a nice pool area so i won't hold it against them.

Renovation required at this place. My favorite part of this hotel is the rooftop pool and jacuzzi. Other than that, i didnt really enjoy it. My toilet got clogged 3 out of the 4 nights I stayed there.

The Le Montrose is a sort of a secret weapon for cool accommodations in WeHo. It's just off the Sunset Strip, but it's still pretty quiet. The pool is very nice and there's a great view of the city. It's comfortable and pretty reasonably priced. Overall, I'd say it's a good value. It's not as upscale as the Le Meridian but it's still very nice.
