I love this bar, the beer is cold and cheap, the locals are friendly and the bartenders are awesome, enough sad.

Sort of the "Last Lizard Standing" this is the longest running business in town. In the summer you can get out of the blinding light and catch a little
respite from the heat. Winter it's still a good place to grab a drink and something to eat. Pizzas are pretty good. But so are the Fritos - can't beat good old fashioned engineered food products!! -
Review from Chris P.
It was a bar. It had A/C. It had cold drinks and a friendly barkeep, clean bathrooms and is the only bar in the one-horse town of Ocotillo, CA.
It was SO EFFING HOT TODAY. But nice inside.
Bikers beware, the parking lot here is small gritty gravel about 1" deep. My friend dropped his bike on it when he tried to brake in it.
Great spot for a stop on a motorcycle, pretty classic place. -

oh wow, what a gem. my friends and i drove from our campsite to this saloon when we could no longer stand the heat. i think that 95% of the people in here were older locals, and that made it all the more endearing.
the drinks are cheap, although they only have 3 beers on tap, and i think they were bud, bud light, and something else. they had a sign up behind their bar with their hours of operation. and i couldn't tell if it was a joke, and i didn't want to ask. it said something like... open most days at 11, closed some days at 5 or 6, but sometimes open till midnight... etc. kinda funny.
the bathroom was clean, and much appreciated after being in the backcountry. they also had random food, but it looked like cafeteria-like options, and we already ate our salami and cheese. -

Cheap drinks and we did not venture to eat anything, although something smelled good. This place was like a mirgae in the desert to us. Following a backpacking trip in which we ended up hiking in a lot more than planned and waking to rain/mud, a cold beer and clean bathroom were a nice stop on the way home...or many cold beers as it turned out. We were the only people in there with the exception of the bartender and one other guy who seemed to be a local (insert your own image here). We had run of the jukebox and I woudl definitely stop in again if I were in the area... :)

This is a great bar! The beer is very well priced. You can hear anything you want on the jukebox. Riding season is the busiest time of the year. If you go on the off season, you will get the opportunity to meet the locals. They are all very friendly and everyone pretty much knows each other.
They have a nice selection of snacks. I recommend ordering a burrito. They are pretty tasty.
The bathrooms are always super clean and big! They have a lot of cool knick knacks all over the place.... Check it out!
