Got into an accident in December of 2010 and wasnt sure where to turn. After talking with the insurance company and a few different attorneys, I didnt know who to trust or what to say.
I originally got a call from another attorney at LAY but at this point I was so hesitant about everything, that I turned him down. A few minutes later I got a call back from Jonathan Yagoubzadeh at LAY, and he actually offered to come out to me right then and there to talk about the case.
After talking with Jonathan, I felt a little more comfortable and had him take my case. SO glad I did. Could not have had a better experience, I'm convinced! They were always there to answer any questions I had, Jonathan was super helpful with everything, was always available if I had a question, and was completely on my side 100%.
I've since moved out of state, but if I still lived in LA and needed a personal injury lawyer, I wouldnt even THINK about going anywhere else. Seriously, I will swear by these guys and will recommend them to anyone and everyone who is in need. -

There is no better team of attorneys than these guys. With them, I got personal attention from the head partners of the firm, and they always treated me with respect. They made me feel like my case was their top priority.
They settled my case faster than I expected, for much more than I expected. Don't waste your time looking anywhere else. These guys are the real deal. -

Michael Akiva is an ethical, patient and generous lawyer; he and his assistant are quick to return calls and respond to emails. For anyone unfamiliar with the legal process, Michael is very good at taking the time to explain things in detail and keeping you updated on the proceedings. As a personal injury lawyer, he does a great job of getting you back to how you were 5 minutes before the incident.

I had a car accident a few weeks ago and my friend suggested I get in touch with this firm. From the moment I met with them, I was really impressed (super cool office). Apparently, they order cookies for their client meetings! Freshly baked! I am a huge foody so that went a long way for me. Enough of that.
The attorney I worked with (John) was very helpful in explaining the entire case/lawsuit process from beginning to end. Seemed like he really loves what he does. Professional, helpful, and funny. They were so awesome, I had to recommend on Yelp. Highly recommend checking this firm out. -

This firm was excellent from the get go. It was my first major car accident and I had no clue what to do. At first I started freaking out because my car was totaled and I thought I was going to get stuck with a gigantic hospital bill since I don't even have health insurance. A friend of mine referred me to these guys and they took care of everything. I got a check for my car within days and it was for even more than my car was really worth. Throughout the process they showed a ton of compassion and took their time to keep me in the loop about my case and explain everything to me in detail. I'd highly recommend them to anyone that gets into an accident.

LAY Legal worked on my PI case. I can be a tough client (sorry!), as the car accident I was involved in was frustrating, but they were super professional and worked with me the entire way. They ALWAYS returned my calls the same day and kept me posted on the progress of my case which I really appreciated. In addition, they got me an amazing settlement! What is really crazy about this is that the insurance company denied my claim, at first! I highly recommend this firm to anyone with a personal injury case.

I needed to see a lawyer to know my rights concerning an automobile situation and I have to say, these guys were awesome! I went to their offices right after the accident occurred - I was incredibly freaked out - and I was able to see a lawyer that day. (I worked with Jubin Niamehr.) He was very patient and let me know very clearly what my rights were and what my next steps should look like. I can not stress how important and invaluable that was. I mean, let's be serious; why one finds themselves in a lawyer's office most of the time are usually extremely stressful reasons, so the last thing you need/want is a lawyer to be as anxious you are. (I'm personally not into the Ari Gold variety.) Jubin was super calm and it helped me look at the situation and my options objectively. I would highly recommend this law firm! Bonus: They've got a REALLY nice office and for you erstwhile New Yorkers out there, Jubin graduated from NYU. ;)

I've referred a couple people to this firm based on word of mouth (because my legal practice is limited) and I have heard back nothing but good things. They are very communicative, highly intelligent, and vigorous advocates for their clients. While they seem to do some PI, they're not limited there. I know they do commercial litigation too and have seen them shine in that arena. Next time I sue or get sued [shouldn't take long] you'll see me in their offices.
