these dudes rule! after my dentist retired a few years ago i put off finding a replacement because it was so overwhelming. proximity/yelp helped me make the choice to come here, and i really can't recommend them enough. the facilities are clean and welcoming, and everyone is super nice. i'm bad at interpreting insurance mumbo-jumbo, and they took the time to go over my coverage and explain all procedures to me. plus, fred meyer is right there, so you can take your sewing with nancy mouth across the lot and go buy yourself popsicles and mashed potatoes.
i got a couple intense cleanings done, and each visit was a great experience. my hygienist, mike, is super sweet and funny--he really put me at ease. i think a good hygienist is key to having a good experience at the dentist. he's gentle, but he gets the job done and was not stingy with novocaine! maybe it's because i hadn't been to the dentist in so long, but i feel like this joint is really high-tech. i love the screen at the chair, so you can see x-rays of your gnarly teeth and ask questions on the spot. if you're like me and you've put dental work off for a while, come here and don't be fearful. they will take care of you! -

Moving to a new town and finding a new dentist, and doctor, etc is terrifying. I am so glad I lucked into Laurelwood Dental.
Every member of the staff here has been pleasant, efficient, and helpful. I even received a call from my dentist the day after a particularly icky filling. (no, not a girl from the front desk, my actual dentist!) -

I have been going to Laurelwood Dental for the last few years. I was going to the dentist back in CA every time I would visit my parents because our family dentist was a very good friend. After living in the Portland area I finally bit the bullet and decided that I needed to find a dentist locally because I wasn't going to be moving back anytime soon. So I took the recommendation of my co-workers and decided to make an appointment at Laurelwood Dental. I have been a fan ever since! Lisa is my hygentist and she cleans my teeth just like the one back home. I've had a few that I feel didn't do the greatest job.
I never feel pressured into procedures here because the staff is honest and friendly! When I was a kid I had a greedy dentist who insisted on replacing a bunch of fillings because my parents always paid cash for dental procedures. We later found out the fillings should have not been replaced.
I've seen both Dr. Rice and Dr. Hall, but more or less I see Dr. Hall regularly. They are both great, but more importantly they are surrounded by an awesome staff! -

I would be considered a high maintenance dentophobe, and I was lucky enough to find Laurelwood Dental within the year I moved here. Both Dr. Hall and Dr. Rice are great guys and really adept dentists.
The practice has all the latest technologies. For instance, they're able to mill, that's right, I said mill, a porcelain filling while you wait. It ain't cheap but who's willing to cheap out when it comes to teeth that need to last as long as possible.
Okay, here's the other thing. Dr. Hall is also a woodworker for fun, fine furniture and high craftsmanship. That's the kind of dentist you want, someone with a finicky and exacting disposition who feels compelled to get it just right. He's a really nice guy, too.
I've spent some serious money on my teeth over the years, but at Laurelwood, it's all been well spent. Oh, and the staff there is really nice. Tiffany is the most entertaining dental hygienist I've ever met. -

Embarrassingly it had been eight years since going to the Dentist (anxiety) a broken tooth forced me to re think my stand. I Went to Dr. Hall at Laurelwood Dental and it went incredibly smooth. The Hygienist walked me through everything He was doing step by step and before I had time to get nervous he said" okay only two more teeth and we're done". I needed a crown which they were able to do onsite (a permanent one) Perfect for me! I came into laurelwood dental anxiety ridden thinking the worst case scenario and left with cleaned teeth a new crown and piece of mind. I'll see you again in six months Dr. hall and Mike.
