While some may go to crappy chain restaurants, others may just eat at their desk and most just go to the dining area here, I go bowling on my lunch break. Nothing makes you forget about dumb emails that you've been reply-all'ed on 13 times, endlessly ringing phones and clock-watching than hurling a 15 lb ball down at 10 pins.
That said, this place is an awesome old school bowling alley. They have the automated machines, but they're the really old tacky kind - whatever! I still remember scoring my own games with a pencil on the overheads, so anything other than that is fine with me. The facility is well maintained, clean and has a decent pro shop. Plus, $1.50 games during the day? Oh hell yes!

Laurel Lanes is an old school bowling alley. The lane machines are quite outdated. You have to write everyone's name down and they enter them into the lane for you. As a result I would think the price would be a little cheaper, but it was about the same....$4 something per game. They did have a pretty good special going, buy one game, get one free, but that has since ended. So far nothing I have mentioned is that big of a big deal. My main issue with this place is that about 80% of their bowling balls do not have the weight engraved. So if you are looking for a specific weight, you better hope you are psychic. When I finally asked that they find me a 9 lb. ball, it still didn't feel like the correct weight. I should probably just buy my own ball but until then I won't be bowling here again.

Very nice place, clean, good snack bar. Not state of the art, but still a good place to bowl with kids and have fun.
