I booked manicures for my mom and I on Mother's Day. Unfortunately, it's quite a small salon so there aren't many spots to sit down an unwind. Also, there isn't a nail drying area.
Lisa did our nails. She's very sweet. I was hungover so I wasn't very chatty. At least you can pretty much zone out during a mani. She did a great job on my nails.
Great vibe in the salon. They have Sirius radio....so there were fun tunes playing.
Parking is easy. Love the 'hood.
An excellent Aveda salon. I recommend this place to a lot of people. In fact, I realized at one point that I'd sent nearly every guy I'd ever dated in Cleveland to Laura Lee Salon and they were ALL still getting their hair cut there. Was it a little weird that I used to get monthly updates about my ex's from my hairdresser? I apparently have a history of dating men with good hair.
Anyway - I am very picky about my hair, which is thick, straight and Asian. I usually wear it in a short/medium layered cut. I went to a number of places looking for a good haircut before I found Laura-Lee Salon. Now, I come here exclusively for my $45 haircuts ($35 for men, I believe) simply because they're very good. Sonya, Heidi are my two current favorites here (it's a matter of preference; Leah's also given me a good haircut). Do feel free to send me a message if you have questions.
Good: These women really know their hair and can either punk it up or give me a more conservative cut, depending on my needs. And I like the little things - the hand massage, the comfortable atmosphere, the samples they give me on my birthday. Customer service is good; there have been two times over four years that I was unhappy with my haircut, and both times they were willing they fixed it for free. You only need to speak up.
Bad: It's expensive for Cleveland, but I think it's a pretty good deal for a good haircut.
And just so you know, you'll probably receive a soft sales pitch to buy Aveda product and makeup.
I'd be grateful if you told them I referred you - they have a $10 off product referral program that I've taken advantage of over the years - I admit I'm a bit of an evangelist about this place.
