Spent a wonderfully taught and spiritually reflective day, on 9/11, with Laura at an Anusara workshop in Morgan Hill. I am grateful to have had the day have learning the mysteries of yoga with a brilliant teacher. I am also thankful to have shared the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy with Laura, who led us to a heart-space of love and compassion through her yogic lens. I wish she could be in all the cities where I take classes. Namaste, Laura!

Laura is one of my favorite yoga teachers, and is one of the most brilliant shiny humans that I know! She has such a strong heart-centered presence that shines out in everything that she does, just being in class fills me with joy. Her skill at leading a class is superb! Again and again I find that the sequences she brings us through aligns my body and opens me such that I suddenly find myself deeper in a pose than I have ever been!
I can also highly recommend her retreats -- My wife and I went to mexico with her, and besides being an *excellent* location and vacation, the yoga was transformative. Day after day I went deeper into my practice and had insights which continue to guide and transform my body for many months afterwards. -

We are so lucky to have Laura right here in Sausalito! She is one of the best Anusara teachers out there. I have been studying with her for almost three years and my practice has come a long way in that time.
Laura is one of the most dedicated, passionate and inspirational yoga teachers out there. Perhaps my favorite thing about Laura is that she truly lives the yoga in her own life. She allows the teachings to inspire how she lives. She sees the good and the light in all people and situations, and has an amazing ability to draw the best out of all of her students.
Laura's enthusiasm and high energy level are contagious! No matter how tired or out of sorts I feel going into her class, I always feel more fully myself coming out.
Laura's classes are incredibly challenging, though not in a way that feels hard. I am so engaged throughout the class that I don't have a moment to realize how hard I am working until it is all over. Simply standing in Tadasana works me harder than a whole flow might in other classes.
Best of all, Laura creates a real sense of community in her classes. I always feel like I am just playing with my friends, and being supported by this wonderful teacher. -

I have been a student of Laura's for two years now, and had the great privilege and honor of being a part of her 108-hour Anusara Yoga Immersion in fall of 2007 and also spent a week on retreat in Careyes, Mexico with her in April of this year. She is a wonderful, loving, passionate, and inspiring teacher, clear in her instruction and very hands-on, who manages to deliver a personal lesson to each person even in a group class. I never fail to be delighted and challenged when I practice with her. She is also so very good at building community, and I so enjoy being part of the kula that she has created - I've made so many lovely friends, thanks to Laura. She's the best!

Bringing it? Oh, Laura has brought it!! The best part about Laura is that she has the beautiful balance between the muscular and organic- she gets you to play your edge and you enjoy it. Where ever Laura goes a community follows because that is what she inspires. She takes the time to learn about each of her students and finds celebration and enjoyment from each of their uniqueness- you feel like the best version of yourself in her class. She just rocks!

Laura has been my favorite yoga teacher since my first class with her two years ago. I don't know how she does it, but she always manages to evoke the best effort I can give. And I leave her classes all sparkly and happy. Laura's teaching comes from deep within her, sweet and strong and fun! While I can see that she plans her classes carefully (she never seems to be winging it), Laura is always on the spot, attentive to the needs of each individual, weaving the present moment into her artful lesson plan.

Laura Christensen is 5 stars, "as good as it gets". If you want to get any better you have to practice every week with John Friend or another world class master. Her aim is to know your name, to work with you and see your progress. Her classes are your PT, your anti depressant, your community and your upliftment that you take home. Her knowledge is incredible, she assessed and solved my tight hip flexor/lower back problem which I had been struggling with for 3 years and in less then 30 seconds I had my solution and freedom from that pain. I feel very lucky to have a teacher at her caliber right here in Marin. She is someone who means what she says and says what she means, she walks the talk.
