Laura is a sweetheart! I've been with her a few months now. She is a very inviting and although I was very nervous my first time, it became easier and easier because she treats you like a friend and it no longer feels like a stranger is invading your privacy, which can ease the anxiety of the whole process making it a much more enjoyable experience in all.
She's very quick and good at what she does. I personally wished she would use hard wax all over, but I'm sure there's a reason why hard wax is only used on the lower portion and soft wax on the upper portion of the bikini region -- i've never asked.
I've been happy with the results after every visit and highly recommend her services to all my friends and anyone reading this review! She is also very easy to contact/make appointments with and will send reminders prior to any service via facebook. She's professional, committed and very sweet! Check her out! Happy waxing!! :) -

I enjoyed it while it was convenient (worked in Beverly Hills, she's a short trip down the road) but it's too far for me to drive out from Encino every time (how do you explain that to the baby sitter).
Also sort of tired of her remembering/not remembering me. I think she has an appointment system set up through Facebook but if you're not there, she seems less interested. However, she is lovely, and probably the best (fast/efficient/no BS/affordable) waxer I've had. -

I have been going to Laura for several years now. Even when I moved about an hour's drive away I still went to her because there is no one else I trust to do my most private and personal wax. She is funny, warm, and easy to talk to. Getting a Brazilian wax is not the most comfortable experience and can be quite awkward but Laura puts you at ease and makes the process quick and as painless as possible. In the few times (when Laura has been on vacation and out of the country) that I have had to force myself to go elsewhere I either get a bad wax, regret it, or have horror stories to tell my friends. That being said I now patiently wait for Laura to return or try to book my sessions around her vacation dates. I would not hesitate to recommend her and the friends that I have sent over have been very happy as well. Thanks Laura!

I love Laura. I had an esthetician whom I'd been going to since I was a teenager. One day she disappeared and I thought I would NEVER be able to build such a comfortable relationship, open legs and all, with someone random new person. And then came Laura. Within MINUTES of meeting her I felt like I'd known her for years. And she is BRILLIANT at what she does. I've recommended her to my best friend and I'd recommend her to anyone who may feel a little awkward about what goes on what with waxing and all. ;)

Here is your chance to get a Brazilian from a REAL Brazilian! Laura is fast, she knows what she's doing and she uses a high quality wax. I have the most sensitive skin and I didn't have any sort of reactions....hurray! I have to admit, it's a little bit different going to someones house instead of a salon, and if you're used to going to beverly hills salons, going to culver city is a little bit of a change, but her place is IMMACULATE and very comfortable. And if you are a mom like me, it's a God sent! You don't have to find a sitter and she was so sweet with my daughter. Not to mention she does a wonderful job at making you feel comfortable in what is most likely an awkward and sometimes uncomfortable situation. She is very confident and comfortable so it made me feel more comfortable and not quite so embarrassed. Thank you Laura, I'm so glad I found you!

Laura is amazing! I am also a Brazilian Wax newbie and also, truth be told, am a little up tight about the whole thing. Laura makes you feel totally relaxed and she is FAST. You are in and out. The place is clean as can be.
Plus, Laura recommended me getting some laser instead of repeated waxes. I appreciated her honesty. -

Laura is awesome!
Her pricing is extremely fair and her skills are truly amazing. I've paid both less and more than her rate and have never had a better experience than I did today.
Her home studio is very clean and comfortable. I really like that she works early hours as well so that I can have the rest of the day to myself. She's also very organized with her appointments and can even schedule appts thru facebook!

After finding this page, I gave her a call and set up my first appointment for my first professional wax. She works out of her home, which is extremely comfortable and private. It makes the experience that much nicer.
She has a small room with a waxing table in where she works, and it was pristine and sanitized. I didn't feel at all uncomfortable about getting on the table. She asked me a couple questions about when my last wax was and such, and the waxing was just about painless! Very quick waxing, very professional waxer. I am so glad I found her.
After I set up my next appointment, she asked if I had ever considered lazer hair removal, as well. When I told her no, she referred me to a close friend of hers who has a lazer scar/hair/tattoo removing office in Santa Monica; Its so refreshing to go to a professional that is willing to refer their clients elsewhere, if they think it will be a better experience.
Overall, 5 stars, definitely. Laura is good at what she does, friendly, professional, and helpful with whatever questions you might have.
And how much did it cost?
$55.

Laura is a very outgoing and down to earth lady and I enjoyed her company while she was waxing me. She is VERY quick, which is wonderful. However, I was under the impression that she used hard wax and she uses a combination of hard wax and soft wax up top (for brazillian bikinis). Some of my skin was taken off due to the soft wax and it took months for the discoloration to go away.

I was going to Laura when she was in the valley. By far the best BBW in Los Angeles. None of this "interactive" waxing where they instruct you to stretch your skin! She does it all herself and in a timely manner too! You'll be out in less than 10 minutes! No joke, she doesn't mess around!
Sorry to say I had to cheat on her because I moved 60 miles away. Sorry Laura, but I still love ya!! -

i bought a livingn social deal online a couple months ago after yelping to make sure that i would be in good hands...despite mostly five star reviews, i was not that impressed with the results
other than the fact that her "salon" is in an apartment building and a "tmi" incident that involved her showing me her bikini area, the two main reasons why i would not go back to laura's is the fact that a) i did not feel that i was in a professional environment and more so b) she switched between blue and strip wax...blue wax has much better results and usually when a salon advertises blue wax, wouldn't one expect blue wax for the entire procedure? i left feeling a little prickly...it could be because i had a living social coupon deal, so maybe she didn't want to use blue wax on someone that had paid for discounted service...oh well

Today I take the time to write a review of Laura Addario and hope you use it in whichever way you need to. I've been a long time customer of Laura's (at least 7 years). I have referred people to her for bikini wax, purchased cases of her water at her request and paid her late fee the one time I had to cancel an appointment in less than 24 hours.
An example of Laura's dramatic and unprofessional behavior is ...
While my sister (a referral I sent to Laura) was getting her wax Laura complained to her accusing me of writing some negative review on Yelp that I in fact did not write at all. While Laura never asked me if I wrote the negative review, I considered her behavior unprofessional and did not feel any need to defend the rumor. I called her later to confirm my next wax appointment and figured we would laugh about it together when I saw her.
Laura then called me and cancelled my appointment without notice leaving only a sarcastic message along with tossing me from her overpriced bikini wax customer database.
I just want to thank Laura for having done this because if she had not, I would never of found an awesome bikini waxer in Beverly Hills who is just as good if not better, less pain, and super fast, less the attitude, solicitation and fees. My new waxer charges $25.00 that is 60% less than what i was paying at with Laura... ; ))
Laura Addario is in my opinion unprofessional. Make sure you see her change the bed lining before you get on the table, (not changing the lining after each customer is something I observed).
Her work is good when she is not in a negative mood. If she is having a bad day her work suffers (and so will you)!
Laura has still never asked me if I wrote the review.
Additional Information:
Laura told me that if I go to rainbow Acres and buy a case that she will discount my next wax. I bought the case of water a few times. I let her know once that i bought the case but she never gave me the discount she offered. I never said anything. Laura likes to call to confirm appointments when it suits her to change your appointment without mentioning it on the message. She will say "you have an appointment for 10am when I know I had a 10:30 appt. then rudely scold me for being late. Last November I received an email from Laura offering a 10% discount (in the title section of the email), inside the email was a joke about it being the last day of "bush" -but again I never received any discount from her.
One time she had a girl from brazil doing manicures and aked me to pay to have my nails done with her friend. I was there for 2 hours and had red nailpolish all over my feet and hands. If her friend shows up again DO NOT GET THE brazillian mani/pedi it was painful and a very bad experience all around.

Definitely do not waste your time with this chick. If you like attitude and unprofessionalism, then go see Laura. I purchased a groupon for her back in March, she now refuses to honor since quite a bit of time has lapsed, nonetheless groupons in the state of California do not expire. Common knowledge for savvy business professionals. She refuses to refund me the money and even though she said she would and is having me deal with the rigmarole of going through Groupon if I would like a refund. She is quite rude and arrogant...not kind and nurturing, which are traits that an esthetician should possess. Pink Cheeks does amazing brazilians, give them your money instead.

laura's awesome! she's quick, clean and so sweet. she makes you feel very comfortable and at ease with her vibrant, upbeat personality. and a brazilian wax is only $45 for the month of march - great deal.
i love laura and i would recommend her to anyone!
