I've never taken a class here, but have been to several of their studio parties (first Saturday evening of each month).  Prior to my first visit, I was a little skeptical and thought "Oh boy, this is gonna be super lame.  A studio party?  nope.. not gonna enjoy it."  I was soooo wrong.

The parties here are great.. perfect for beginners and experienced dancers.  It's a pretty non-intimidating environment for dancing.. pretty much a creepy-guy free environment.  Everyone is there strictly to dance (at least I think so).  The studio is divided into three room.  Each room typically plays a different style of latin, so you can just walk right over to the room whose music you feel like dancing to.  I think there is a cover charge of around $7... not bad.

Parking is a PAIN (even for me, a person blessed w/ super awesome parking karma).. lots are nearby.

Oh yeah, and water is $1.  YES!!!

I went for a Salsa boot camp over the weekend with a group of girlfriends and had a blast!  The instructor (Lisa "LaBouriqua") was fabulous.  She was funny and informative and even gave me a "you go girl...you've got this!"  I met some great people and had a wonderful afternoon with friends.

My only complaint is that it was a long class.  A lot was covered, but maybe it could have been 3 hours instead of 3 1/2 hours.  During that last half hour everyone was just trying to survive.

I used to take classes here and honestly didn't learn much. Being a woman, I petty much had to let myself be led, NOT do the leading like I liked to. But otherwise, I didn't think the quality of instruction was great (great dancers doesn't eqaul great teachers), the number of classes per session was too few, and the pricing was ok. I only took salsa, since I already knew the other dances they offered at the time (only bachata and merengue). I still go to their dances though. Those are another cheap alternative to the hardcore Latin club scene. More chill, but damn does it get hot in there!!!

If you want to jump into a great boot camp, this is the place to go.  They don't have a hard sales approach like other national chains that try to get you to buy a huge package deal that you'll never use.  You can pay for monthly sessions one at a time.  And they have classes for all levels, from complete beginner to very advanced.  Don't forget to take privates every several group lessons.  It's good to get the kinks out early, especially for the leads (men).  If you are a lead and have hit a wall with the learning curve, you need private lessons, which currently you will only be able to find elsewhere.  But I love this studio non the less.  The atmosphere is open, there's no pretense like at other studios.  And it's filled with good people.  Friends you make dancing here will be friends for life.

I took my first session of classes here and really enjoyed them. Merengue Mix with Tito was GREAT, but I'm not sure if he's teaching there anymore. Also had "Taste of Salsa" with Steve - really good instructor. Explained things very well.

I liked my classes and there was a pretty good mix of students. I went on a Thursday nights and had a good time. I plan to take more classes with them in the near future.

only gripe: I feel that there should be 5 classes instead of 4 included in the cost

I've been taking classes there for 3-4 months now. They have a really fun, outgoing and helpful staff. If you get a chance take a class with Johnny and Steve. They are amazing. They have their own dance company so expect really experienced teachers. Their prices are reasonable. Most of the students are 30 and up. However on Saturdays you get younger couples, and the rest of the younger group of students are scattered through out the weekdays. For example my group on thursday evening is a mix of people at their 20s and 30s. They always let you know what's going on around the city, which is a great way to learn about concerts and get to know the latin dancing venues in Chicago.
