Great things about the Latchis: It's on Main Street, it's next to the food co-op, it's across the street from that delicious Korean restaurant, it's not wildly expensive.
Not great things about the Latchis: It's basic (especially the "breakfast" they serve) and the cheaper rooms can be really depressing (I'm pretty sure we once stayed in a room that looked out onto a brick wall).
Nice little place. It definitely feels like it's still being restored, but it was clean, the water was hot, the AC worked-what more do you want?
Of course, being a man who is vertically gifted, I have to give them credit for a high showerhead, but take away those same points for putting footboards on a twin bed.
Footboards discriminate against tall people! Take a stand!
Charming and simple. A little pricey for what you get, but that's to be expected. Free wireless!!
The Latchis Hotel feels authentic and historical.
