I came here with a friend after hearing about it from others and the great deals they had found. From the outset, the place looks like a mess - kind of reminded me of a thrift store, with rows of unorganized clothing. My expectations immediately plummeted. The section of scarves and bras was a mess (like your underwear drawer overturned onto your bed), but a bunch of people seemed to be diligently digging through them.

The shoes section is kind of tricky because many of them look a bit used. So, they have some scratches on the tops and most likely than not, the bottoms are really dirty. If you're fine with that though, the prices seemed to be reasonable.

I found a couple items from the clothing section (in the hour I was at the store):
1.) Topshop tank top for $5
2.) comfy boho shorts by allen allen for $9

^ The prices are pretty crazy. I saw several articles of clothing from topshop for so much less than it usually is.

If you invest a little bit of time and make sure the clothing doesn't have holes or stains, then you're in for a treat.

I think my friend overhyped this place for me, but overall, it was a fun shopping experience. It truly is the last call - some things are so beaten up you wonder who would ever buy them but then you come across some gems for a bargain deal!

Things you need to have: time and patience. It's a lot of digging!

All I can say is, "it is what it is". It kind of reminds me of a warehouse sample sale, you can find the best deals ever if you dig and search hard enough, also hoping that it's not completely defected.

The store is a little bit disorganized, but then again, it's not always going to be clean and maintained when you have scavengers rimmaging through racks all day because of the incredible deals.

If you're a creative fix upper, great with a sewing needle and crafty, this is the best store for you. A lot of their stock comes with various defects, so if you're like me, I have to spend a little more time finding something that doesn't have a rip, stain, missing piece, etc on the actual product.

The "no drink" policy is kind of ironic, considering that 80% of their stock either has rips, no zippers, stains, etc. So i'm not quite sure what they would be afraid of, especially when the actual nordstrom department store allows you to bring anything.

They used to have choices of privacy or no privacy in the dressing room, thank god they changed that because I didn't see that going very well as many women aren't going to be very comfortable undressing in front of complete strangers, plus it felt somewhat insulting from the company. The lower you go, the less service you should receive?

The prices can either be freakishly good, or outrageous. You can find a really cute top/sweater for as little as $5, a pair of designer shoes (depending on the designer) from $15-$30, and etc. But i'm really confused as to why they would sell a completely defected, ripped and stained handbag for over $250-$300. It does not make sense to me. I am the type of person to actually spend the full retail price to avoid the hassle of trying to repair something so beat up that it would cost you more time and money in the long run.

I provide 3 stars because aside from the obvious, I end up ultimately satisfied with the great deals I ended up scoring depending on the time and day I go to the store. I bought a pair of born boots for $30 when it's $200 retail, my friend bought a pair of michael kors wedges for $15 when it's originally $175. It's super hit or miss and chances are, you won't always find what you're looking for for the one time you do go there, but you just keep on coming back when the stock is updated and you may end up finding that one treasure.

So overall, if you're flexible on time, patient, and have a few bucks on you, it is worth shopping at Last Chance, and I would recommend it.

As a frequent Nordstrom Rack shopper, I have been dying to come here for years (I don't live in AZ). I read the reviews so I had some idea of what to expect. I didn't mind showing up early to wait 35 minutes outside of the store, with the hopes of finding great deals awaiting me inside. I did find a few good things, but was a little disappointed overall.

First, the cons: the store was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. It's about the size of a small Nordstrom Rack. As soon as you enter, people swarm around the open bins, throwing purses from one container into the next (yes, even the bin you're digging into). Imagine digging a hole, only to have someone throwing dirt back into it. Next, the purses are WAY overpriced. A Chloe bag so beat up, with pen stains covering the interior, priced at $450. A dirty Marc Jacobs bag with worn corners and crumbs inside $300. A good condition Kate Spade bag was still $150.

I went there specifically to find high end designer brands. You can find some good deals in the shoes, but most are badly worn. There was a pair of Miu Miu sandals that looked like they had been worn every day for a year, priced at $135. I got lucky and found 2 Jimmy Choo flats in good condition for $100 each. Don't waste your money on Sam Edelman, DV, etc. You can get this stuff in much better condition at a Rack store for the same price or less.

I went there in May so there were great deals on sweaters priced at $10, plus an addtl 40% off. Most were junior brands though so not top quality. I found flannel pj pants (brand new condition) for $3 each.

I think you'd have to be a frequent shopper to get the best deals here. But be prepared for pandemonium and lots of rude shoppers.

Definitely hit or miss like the previous review stated, although you're bound to find something amazing.
    A few tips:
    1. devote time to browse the entire store- you never know what you'll find.
    2. carefully check everything.
    3. do not be rude to the workers, they try their best.
    4. be prepared when you get to the front of the checkout line.
    5. wear clothes that are easy to slip on and off to try stuff on easier.
    6. always end with shoes, it's so much easier and less worrisome (unless you only plan to buy shoes) when you go to try stuff on and you come out and boom, all your coveted shoes have been taken from you by another patron.
    7. look for the sales! Yes, they have sales on sales and you could possibly get a dress or a sweater for under $3.00.
    8. have fun, bring friends, work as a team!

Hit or miss.  I've been coming to this Last Chance for years.  Even before I moved here, I came to shop at Last Chance.  It's that serious.  But through the years, Last Chance has changed - prices have gone up, it's more crowded and the frequent shoppers are more ruthless.  You literally have to throw down to shop.  Don't dare bring your kids here if you actually want to "shop" here!  They'll just get in the way.  Trust me, I'm a mom and I although I love my kids, I wouldn't want to torture them by bringing them here! Their carts are small so bringing a child would seriously just take up some space that could be used for merchandise! Just sayin!

Anyway, if you decide to stay, just know that they bring out stuff all day long. They'll ask you to wait until they're done restocking and then they'll let you loose. Watch out for the grabbers and runners. They'll kick you out if don't follow the rules. Yup, there are rules!

If you come before the store opens, it definitely is a spectacle. There's always a crowd that gathers in front and the manager will come out a few minutes before opening to tell you the specials and of course, the rules!

If you've braved the crowds and rummaged through bins and aisles, and you've made it to the cash registers, know that there are limits to the number of items you can buy. Double and triple check your merchandise to make sure there are no holes,  damages,  etc. since Last Chance doesn't accept returns or exchanges! Use your Nordstrom card to earn points to get your Nordstrom Notes! Happy treasure hunting, treasure hunters!

I agree with a couple of previous reviewers in that some items are overpriced. I did find some cool deals from Alice and Olivia-one of my favs! I was majorly disappointed in the mens department for their lack of jeans for normal sized men. I thought the shoes were heavily picked over and looked used-nasty! The biggest disappointment of all were the overpriced handbags. Really?! Where in the hell do you get off asking someone to pay $150+ for a Marc Jacobs that is filled with makeup stains?! EWW!! You are better off getting your bags at Nordstrom Rack, Off 5th, or Last Call. I made the mistake of coming here on a Saturday, but I think like all discount stores, you will find more items and better deals during the week.

Just came to this store and just this week they started implementing a new pricing system for the worse!!! All the items and the gems that I used to come here are priced so high that it's a joke. I mean seriously 50.00 for a Diane Von furstenberg blouse that is stained and has a hole on the side ? 50.00 for shoes that were normally 9.99? I'm fuming ! This place has lost my business until they can get it together

This is my favorite store, but sometimes I hate it. It is very hit or miss with good stuff. I would best describe this as a designer thrift store. You have to dig and dig for at least an hour to find the little gem that fits you perfectly. It may be tucked away in the wrong size section because someone loved it and tried to hide it. Or what appeared to be the perfect item may have indelible fouls like a huge tear in the sideseam but that's where the savings comes in if you have a tailor that can do a minor alteration for super cheap.

It's super funny when you see people being aggressive shoppers here. There is a pre-recorded automated message that comes on the loudspeaker periodically that warms aggressive shoppers that you will be asked to leave the store for the day. LOL

    Oh my!

What pin-headed decision maker at Nordstrom/Last Chance decided to:
    * raise prices considerably
    * raise prices on ALL items
    * call men's trousers or pants, men's BOTTOMS ?

All right, the men's bottom thing is just a girl making the wrong call but a simple men's dress shirt used to be $9.99. Now it's 19.99-$59.99.

I saw a pair of the ugliest men's dress shoes, hideous, used to be $19.99, tonite's special, I swear: $99.99.

Used to be good, not its not. STAY AWAY from LAST CHANCE!!

    'Men's bottoms', indeed.

Interesting items in the store. Varied selection of good quality clothing and accessories. A touch bit over priced, but not too far out. Someone takes time in selecting items to sell and it showed. A nice place to peruse.

This place has a lot of rules.  I assume in response to the conduct of its shoppers.  The problem is they've engaged in Nazi tactics to police its merchandise.  And a lot of it is crap.  So you end asking the question: a yard sale hint might yield better products at a cheaper price.

Yes, this place is chaotic, messy and a bit scary sometimes, but if you're a cheap bitch like me, the juice is worth the squeeze!

Consider this, Nordstrom takes back any item at any time without a receipt. All those returns across the country make their way to Last Chance for your shopping pleasure. There are some serious bargains to be had, and I could list off all my favorite finds over the last few years. However, I'll just give you some of my favorite tips.

    1. Know what you want ahead of time to make shopping less overwhelming. I always have a few ideas in mind to focus my efforts.

    2. Bring a friend who knows your tastes and size. Many items are misplaced so it's good to have another person to cover more ground.

    3. Allow a couple hours for some serious shopping. All that scouring takes time, and then you have to deal with the dressing room line. At least they got rid of the open areas so you can preserve some modesty.

    4. Know your designers and pricing so you can decide if your item if really a worthwhile bargain. Ideally, you should be paying 10-20% of retail.

    5. Inspect carefully! I've found some weird holes and sketchy stains after the fact because I got too rushed.

    Happy hunting!

My love of Last Chance goes back to 1999.  However, love don't live here anymore. Last Chance has increased its prices, exponentially. I was able to find brand new Top Shop sneakers for $7.97, PJ Salvage pajama bottoms for $7.97, a pair of 14th & Union earring for $0.97 and a faux snakeskin tote for $12.97.  I also found a Donna Karan dress at $299.00 and other ridiculously priced items. Nordstroms Rack can beat most of the prices at Last Chance now and you don't have to deal with crazy aggressive people.

Is this place overly crowded, hectic, and a bit dirty? Yes.
Are there amazing deals in the store? Yes.

90% of the items in the store are damaged or "junk", but the other 10% is in great condition and can save you a lot of money! The best items in the store are usually the bags and the shoes. I recently found a Michael Kors tote bag for $45, ugg boots that look brand new for half the retail price, BP sandals for $8 (that are still being sold on nordstrom for $50), and Steve Madden sneakers for $10. I've had less luck with the clothing, but I did pick up a topshop leather jacket for only $8!

Also, the staff here are very...intense. Every time they go to restock a section, they get extremely serious, to the point where it's weird. They act like they're restocking the shelves with rare diamonds or something, when really they're just adding a couple pairs of beaten up shoes or used clothes... calm down!

Overall, you will need a lot of patience and determination to get a good deal. Deciding if saving a couple of bucks is worth the crazy shoppers and hours of looking through racks is up to you! Personally, I kind of love it!

You will get a $200 pair of AG jeans is about $20-$30. The only this is make sure you thoroughly look your items over for holes, grease stains, etc. MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! When we got home we realized our cashier had ran three of our items twice so we were charged for three extra items we didn't buy!

I've shopped here for years. It's always been a go-to place if you're looking for great prices on lightly used designer clothing. In the past, I've always been able to find a good deal. A few months ago the prices went up considerably. Not just $20 or $40 but up to 500% in the men's clothing department. The prices were always low so the store is full of eBay sellers which means clothing doesn't stay on the racks for very long. I'm guessing this is probably the reason for the raise in price. Keep out the sellers. I get it.

The problem is that the clothing isn't moving off the racks so it's extremely difficult to look through because it's all stuffed in so tight. I stop in once a week to find a deal on my way home from work. I came back a few weeks later and all the same crap was on the racks. Nothing new, Just more inventory, I realize the value in a brand like Zegna or Canali but a $2000 suit isn't worth $500 if the chest pocket is ripped off the front or the pants are torn open beyond repair.

I have heard talk of Last Chance and all the amazing deals everyone is finding there, this was not my experience. We went on a Saturday night and there were so many people that you couldn't freely walk through the isles. The store was disorganized and dirty. After searching for about an hour for shoes and shirts my husband and I both left empty handed.
