This is a great Mexican restaurant and I like it here better than Hilbertos.  MY Mexican restaurant of choice in San Diego.  Grilled garlic shrimp plate is realllllly good but it's OILY.  Carne asada burrito never fails me.  Their guacamole is SO good.  This place is packed with my old high school folks so I generally try to avoid.  But it's great great Mexican food.  Usually crowded by lunchtime and dinnertime so try to go at around 4 or 5pm to avoid the crowds.  Sucks that entire families of soccer moms and kids come here post soccer games and fill up the place.

This is a great place for lunch.  They have specials that are tasty and economical.  I order the Carne Asada plate.  The meat is tender and flavorful.  It comes with tortillas, rice, beans, salsa and guacamole.
