2 reviews for LaRosa's
I have never had a bad experience at LaRosa's and neither has any of my family who have been coming here for years. The past few times, this place hasn't been crowded, but I really wouldn't want it to be. That only means I get a slower wait and sometimes rushed service.
This place serves awesome pizza. It's not "mediocre". Mediocre would be like Papa John's or something. (Still a good pizza, but not GREAT.) It's served hot, with plenty of sauce and toppings, and it's never burnt or dough-y, or less than just right.
This is one of the best pizza places in the entire US. I recommend it to anyone headed to Dayton.
We've been here a couple of times, and generally is pretty mediocre. Not bad, not great, just meh. Went today with my lady's dad, aunt, and brother for a little late lunch, and generally not impressed.
When you walk in, the guy greeting us just looks disheveled, the place is empty, but he still asks us to wait a second while he looks for a table. You might ask "why are we waiting since there is no one here?" Because you see, most of the tables, the floor, and the chairs are still dirty from lunch earlier. They sat us down at a table that was not cleaned thoroughly, and our server was less than enthused to be there.
The food was decent - we got some chips with some sort of wing like sauce that were ok, but sort of hilarious for the money. The pizza we got was pretty good, crust underdone a bit but overall pretty tasty (florentine foccacia). Service seemed to improve as we were there longer, but again, the overall experience at this location is not awesome.
The North Fairfield location is much better - and cleaner.
