Imagine staying at a country lounge right off the highway and this is what you'll get at the Roseville Larkspur Landing. This is not a bad thing! After you park the car and walk on in, it's like another world.
Great rooms that include a small kitchen - free microwave popcorn and good local roasted coffee. Free fresh baked cookies starting at 5pm everyday. Free healthy start breakfast in the morning. Quite rooms with flat screen TVs that have all three Showtime feeds.
I would have given them 4 stars but the service was somewhat lacking. Not once did anyone behind the check in counter say hello or good bye upon our entry or exit. Shame...

I spent two nights here, and it was......ok. But keep in mind, you're in Roseville. It's close to the freeway, and a busy street, so the rooms are noisy. I ended up in two different rooms, for two different rates. When you make a reservation [either online or on the phone - i ended up doing both] they won't give you a AAA rate. But when you show up at the front desk, ask for it, and they will probably give it to you.
I also tried the "gym". There's a treadmill that didn't work, an elliptical and a bike. And some free weights. And one of those machines that purports to work EVERYTHANG. It's tiny. There's one TV. No pool, just a hot tub.
I chatted with the front desk, and Tues and Wed are their busiest nights, b/c they're close to HP. On those nights there's a beer/wine/soda happy hour, with snacks from 5-7. Each night it was a random assortment. They have fresh cookies in the evening, and apples at the front desk 24/7. There's no room service, but several local places deliver.
The bed itself was comfy, but the location was noisy. I stayed here because it was convenient, I would not go out of my way to stay at this property again, but I would try out others in their chain.

Check-in service was prompt and courteous. They also offered complimentary apples and cookies at the desk.
The rooms were neat and clean and well-apointed. The bed was extremely comfortable and I liked the blankets because they were soft and light yet thick, perfect like down blankets generally are. They also had high-speed internet access, but no wireless.
The hotel was in close proximity to many different types of restaurants. a large mall and a big amusement-park-looking thing. Very nice. If I were in Roseville again, I would definitely stay there.

This is my new favorite Roseville hotel. The bed is comfy! The AC kept me cool. There were 2 Tvs and 2 phones! One in the bedroom and one in the living room. The bathroom had room for 3 or 4 people. There was a fridge, microwave, stove, cooking implements, stereo, glasses, towels, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, free wireless internet, chocolate chip cookies in the lobby in the afternoon, free continental breakfasts in the morning and so much more. Also loved the Edward Hooper print in the bedroom. And the best part was that this was cheapest hotel of the four rights in this block. And did I mention check out is at noon?! I was so impressed I will look for Larkspur Landing as a future option for any of my other business travel.

My story...
First off i love larkspur landings. I love their bathrooms, their down comforters and their suites. They are spacious, well stocked and just much nicers than their competitors. That being said. I was horrified at this experience.
On a recent trip to tahoe, my friend and I decided to stop here and stay the night and continue our journey up 80 to tahoe the next day. We had made reservations that day through the internet and everything seemed great.
We arrived much later then expected and It was around 12am and we were very tired and wanted to check in and sleep.
I approach the check in desk. Hand my id, my reservation number and credit card to the man. Everything is fine. Until he looks at my ID. He goes im sorry you can take your party throwing self somewhere else. You must be 25 to stay at this hotel! I was appauled. Its 11pm I obviously look tired. Its late I am with my then boyfriend and we just wanted to sleep. We explained we were not there to throw a party, and were very upset that he would assume that based soley on age. I explain that i have stayed at this hotel previously and they you can look up my record and they i have stayed at numerous other larkspurs all over california. This is ridiculous. He scoffs at me and laughs and tells me he knows my scheme and to leave the hotel. So i do. I was tired and decided to ask him where else i could go. He goes well no where around here will take you. He told me to trust him becuase he had worked at all the hotels in the area. He then proceeded to tell me that i could stay at a motel in downtown sacramento... About 20 miles the wrong way of where i was going. I AM NOT A MOTEL PERSON! PSH! So i left.. crossed the street to a marriot and was taken care of . No problem. No question.
I now realize that i should have spoken to a manager and would most likely have gotten my room but due to my tired state i was not thinking correctly.
My update. I Recently checked their website and he lied to me. Their minimum age requirement is 18. JERKOFF!

Good place to stay when you're stuck in Roseville. Much more comfortable than the other places that I stayed at, and not a bad bargain at $119/night. Rooms were very clean. Staff was friendly. Free breakfast and WiFi are nice features.
