Lane Hartwell captures moments and glances and situations like no one I have ever seen.  Her work with the East Bay Rats is what I am most familiar with- and seeing her while she works and being around while she observes things is such fun, and the results are so meaningful.  She knows the equipment and has really gone for it- she quit her day job folks!!  This is her livelihood now, and rightly it should be- she really has an amazing talent.

Lane is a great photographer. If you take a few moments to check out her Flickr feed (http://www.flickr.com/...) and read the comments, you'll quickly learn that she is truly admired by other photographers. They all look up to and respect her work. The girl has talent -- lots of it. If her Flickr feed doesn't convince you, check out the portfolio she has posted on her web site (http://www.fetching.net).

Mitch Aidelbaum is her co-shooter. He's got major talent, too. Put the two together and you have a great team.

My wife and I hired the pair to shoot our wedding in March 2008. The two of them had our event covered from start to finish and didn't miss a beat. We love every photo they took.

The actual photos Lane and her co-shooter captured are diverse in style and subject matter. They were able to take a number of "posed" photographs (ie. family) along with a healthy dose of candid and photojournalistic pictures of friends and family. Every picture they took from that day brings a smile to my face.

If you are in the market for a photographer, Lane deserves your consideration. She won't disappoint -- I promise!

We've hired Lane to cover our bigger events and she does a knock out job working the crowd to come up with both unique and happy people shots.  Something about Lane just makes people smile.
