Q:
Is dim sum cart service still available? I wasn't sure if it changed due to the pandemic.
A:
Yes, I went on the weekend and they had carts. Not sure about weekdays.

Is there vegan dim sum options?
A:
i wouldnt count on it. A lot of items using pork fat (even in things you that may be vegetarian) and shrimp. I mean you can eat rice paste as plain. Or there's just veggies they serve but these aren't like the other popular dim sum dishes.

Don't let the outside fool you, Lams Garden is a hidden gem for lovers of authentic Chinese cuisine. Located in a quiet plaza on Colonial, this restaurant pulled me in because they had dim sum. Walking in, it resembled your typical Chinese eatery. Not much updated with classic Chinese decor, lobster tank in the corner, and big family style tables. Surprisingly, we were the only customers during lunchtime, but the two servers were exceptionally welcoming and helped us navigate the menu.
I decided to go for my all-time favorites, and I was not disappointed. The beef chow fun, a must, had a tangy sauce that clung perfectly to the hand-cut noodles. The tender beef and generous portion made it a winning choice. The shrimp dumplings were fresh and flavorful, and the shark fin dumplings offered a nice twist. The honey garlic chicken was flavorful and didn't have that artificial taste.
Considering the price, I found the food to be worth my time, and I would eagerly return for another visit. In my list of favorite chow funs in Orlando, Lams Garden is a strong contender for the second spot.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Feb 13, 2024
This restaurant is one of the better dim sum places in Orlando. Their dim sum service is really cool since they push the carts around allowing you to see what they have while also being able to order from a menu as well. A lot of cool Chinese designs with dragon patterns on their architecture all around the room. The food is pretty good, however, i will say the service isn't the greatest.

I stopped by the restaurant for lunch on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. I've patronized the establishment many times in the past and this review is based solely on their lunch special menu of that day.
The restaurant has a full lunch and dim sum menu available however, I opted for their lunch special combination plate. There are approximately twenty different combination plates available with most selections at the $9.95 price level. The combination plates come with your choice of soup (wonton or egg drop), rice (steamed or fried), and a vegetable egg roll.
I opted for the Chicken Lo Mein plate with Wonton Soup. The Wonton Soup came out rather quickly and was accompanied by a bowlful of Fried Wonton Strips. Upon tasting the soup, the broth was lukewarm...the real kicker was the ground pork in the wonton was cold. Definitely not a good start to my meal. When the main meal arrived I was expecting a better experience but, unfortunately it didn't come to fruition. The Fried Rice and Vegetable Egg Roll were bland and the Chicken Lo Mein was a little too oily for my taste.
This particular day may be a one-off as to the meal I was served as I plan to continue to visit Lam's Garden in the future however, next time I will select items from their dim sum menu instead.Helpful 19Thanks 4Love this 12Oh no 1 - 945157Aug 16, 2023
We stumbled upon this restaurant and it was a great find for lunch. The food was good they have a great lunch special. The service was decent our drinks were never refilled but the food came out fast. The restaurant was clean and not too busy during lunch.

Great service, dim sum carts and for the first time took a look at the menu and ordered a Buddah's delight. Large dining room, so there's rarely a wait, unlike a lot of the other Dom sum restaurants in town and the food is great.

The food was soo yummy and the owners were so great and friendly. It's such a hidden gem. They really seem to care about their customers and want you to not only enjoy your food but also the experience you have while visiting. 10/10 place and will absolutely be dining in again!

Ummm...this is definitely bad. I would avoid. It takes quite a bit for a place to be closed by the health dept.

It's decreased a bit in quality + value. I was surprised to find it half empty on a Saturday afternoon, but I soon discovered why. The food was good, but it was lukewarm. The service was great except for an older gentleman, who was going bald + wore glasses. Maybe he was angry about his balding head or just angry at the world but it was rough going. I had sat down with a friend, there were 2 ppl at the cart, this nice lady + him. He was helping a table so I asked her for assistance + he turned around + yelled, "You wait your turn." Rather loudly, I was surprised, but didn't say a thing. He served them, looked at me, + then walked off, milled around tables, came back to me, + shortly said, "what do you want?" I hadn't had dim sum in a few yrs + it was something I was looking forward to, after moving back to Orlando. I had invited my friend who had never had dim sum + I had told her how good this place was. So after being yelled at + her witnessing it, the experience was honestly awful. Our time to enjoy the meal was affected + my friend said that she really would not come back here. The other staff was super nice, but when you are treated like that, the feeling of hurt + embarrassment just lingers. I don't think I can make the memory of this experience go away. But the other staff was super nice! Also for 2 ppl, we paid $100, in the past I've paid like $40-60. The cost seems to have gone up.

This restaurant is totally lit. We had an epic Chinese meal. Everything was dank. The string beans with pork on top was super good. Beef chow fun was off the chart. Walnut shrimp was really good. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended restaurant.

Lams garden is located on colonial in the plaza next to the iFresh market. It's not a fancy place, but it's very traditionalooking. Fish tank when you walk in, Lazy Susan is on the table. I've been going there for many years since I was young it's never truly bustling when I go there but I never have to wait for a table and the food is consistently good. My family likes to go there for dim sum, we never have any issues with freshness or quality. They have even made dim sum especially for my daughter who is vegan I especially love the shumai and their steamed pork ribs are better than most. There are a few dim sum spots to choose from in Orlando now which wasn't the case before this may not be the best dim sum I ever had but you don't have to wait in any lines out the door for hours and it's delicious they have carts that come around and it's quick and tasty . Give it a try.
