My grandparents used to own part of this lake, so I grew up on it.
It's fun, whether you want to swim in it, fish, go on boats, there's always something to do!

There is something about being out in a ski boat at Lake Tulloch that just takes all your troubles away. What ever hell the week threw at you, whether it was your bitch ass boss, or the girl you've been seeing is moving away. regardless, it all seems to melt away as you ride across the lake, the light breeze, the water gently spraying on your face, the beautiful view that surrounds you, its just incredible, and for that one moment in time you are at peace.
for those of you not familiar with the lake, its in calaveras county, near Jamestown and not far from Sonora and Yosemite. its near hwy 120 and hwy 4, and just a 2 hour drive from the peninsula.
Its just beautiful up here and its such a different way of life. its a slow pace, and everyone is so friendly, just really cool people.
its the kind of place where everyone says hi and waves to you as you go by. they'll even invite you in to join the BBQ and have a beer. i could so live here and you can bet your gas money that i will be here every chance i get.
There is always something to do, parties, BBQ's, hot tub, swimming, boating, skiing, dirt bike riding, motorcycle riding, or just relaxing with friends & family, sitting your lazy ass in a chair by the lake and doing nothing but enjoying a beer and the peace n quiet.
to me there's nothing better, and i am looking forward to many weekends and summers here.

This place is AMAZING!!! The lake is so vast, you can go just about anywhere!!! Maybe next time I can have better control over a jet ski, but riding with my BF as he cruised around was good enough for me... During the early evening during the summer is when it's time for the "perfect run" (the lake is "like glass" as he puts it) it's even better. It's not too hot, not too chilly, just right. He jet skis and wake boards, while his cousin just water ski's on one ski... and they just have a blast zippin' around when they have the lake practically to themselves. I must admit, it is pretty relaxing and very enjoyable to hang out and vacation there... Just so long as we can stay at his cousin's place... "Thanx for putting us up Steve!!!"
