This is my second visit. First time was maybe five  years ago.

$130 gets you a two hour tour. I booked a few days in advance.

They're 3mi from Kings Beach, and not far from Northstar.

They tell you to arrive an hour before the tour time, we got there about 10am for the 11a-1p tour. When you arrive, they direct you to park. Park, go to the trailer, fill out waiver, pay, and leave your CC as collateral. Go to another trailer to get a helmet, I should have chosen one size larger, I had an impression of my headsock on my forehead as the helmet pressed against it.

Wait around and they'll call your name for your group, make sure you tell them you have others, if you had booked individually.

Our group left before the slotted 11a, and we returned earlier about 12:30pm.

They go over the basics of the sled, where the brake is, hand warmer, etc. If you want to be a slow rider, stay in the back.

The starting area is fairly long and flat, we reached 40mph. When things get technical, they have the second guide show you the way.

We stopped about three time in the first half of the ride to regroup. Halfway through we stopped at the lookout spot for photos. Then on the last half, they took us to the frozen over lake for some "FUN, nascar style"... we got  to do laps around the lake as fast as we wanted. If you break it, you pay for it they say. I topped a bit over 40mph and did many laps.

And we did go through some steep uphill/downhill and through narrow trees along the route.

    Alas the fun must end.

Sleds are 4stroke, padded seats, but you should stand for the whoops/bumpy sections. They have head/brake lights. You do need to lean if you're going fast through turns. There is a storage area if you bring water or backpacks. Cameras are a must. If you have a mount, bring it for your video camera. The exhaust smell isnt as bad as it was five years ago.

The weather was perfect, low 50s and clear!

GREAT tour!  Our family of 4 (youngest is 20 years old) took this tour today and we were all first-time snowmobilers and had a GREAT time.

    1) Excellent guides -- they were very organized and kept us all safe & happy :)  They had 1 in front, 1 in back, and adjusted the difficulty of the trail to the abilities of our group.  This tour would be good for people of ANY level -- beginner or experienced.

    2) Group size -- there were 29 people scheduled for the 11am tour that day, but they separated us into groups of about 8 riders so that was perfect.  Since 2 guides go with every group, if some of the group goes a lot faster than the rest they can split you up so that works great.

    3) Length of time -- we were concerned that 2 hours would feel short, but it was actually the perfect amount.

    Enjoy!

.The purpose for this review update is 3-fold:

    1) I wanted to comment on their website - they have a link for "Request A Reservation", which I used, and received a response from them in under 24 hours.  I found that to be good customer service.

    2) In Feb. I requested Yelp combine this business location with another listing that showed a physical address.  (This location was no longer showing up in the Search for, but the physical address location was.)  I have yet to see any response to my request, or to combining the businesses.  Maybe this is a way to be the squeaky wheel.

    3) I posted a 2nd picture to my original review - which still didn't nudge the location to be found in Search.  Nevertheless, I wanted people to know the views from some of their stops are amazing!

    Pros: Awesomeness in snowmobile form.
    Cons: None

Wow.  I thought ATV's were awesome.  Snowmobiles are really just as fun.

If you ever in Tahoe during ski season looking for something else to do besides skiing or snowboarding, you should definitely check this place out.  I went here with my girlfriend and her family.  There were a total of 6 of us.  They offer 2 snowmobile options.  You can either ride a snowmobile by yourself for $110.00 or ride with a passenger for $140.00.  Our group opted for 3 doubles.

Luckily, my girlfriend was scared and didn't want to drive, so I got drive the whole 2 hours.  The tour itself was pretty cool.  Our tour guides, Justin and Marshall, were very helpful and attentive to our group.  The tour takes you through various trails in the wilderness. There were wide open spots where you can go the full 40 mph and other spots where you had to weave through trees.  I seriously felt like a little kid again.

I'm not sure if they do this for all tour groups, but we got to ride around  on the frozen Watson Lake.  We could go as fast as we wanted without worrying about crashing into anything.   I really enjoyed this part of the tour.

As if the rush of going 40 mph in the wilderness wasn't enough, the views that we got to see during some of our rest stops were amazing.  Seeing Lake Tahoe from the top of the mountain is a sight you really need to experience for yourself.  Definitely great picture opportunities.

I would recommend going in the morning (11 am) on a nice day because you can really enjoy the spectacular views that are on this tour.  This place is highly recommended if you want to break up the monotony of skiing during your next Tahoe trip.

    ELATION. ECSTASY. NIRVANA.
Oh my god, this was the most fun ever! I'd give 10 stars if I could. The GF and I went on the Group Summit Adventure which is a 2 hour tour (sing along: a 2 hour tour). The rates for single riders on this tour is $110.00 each. For doubles the rate is $140.00. But, why would you want to share when you can drive your own snowmobile?

I was in heaven for 2 solid hours of riding fast over bumps and going up to 40MPH. If you are a daredevil and want to go fast, make sure you're in the front of the group. I had a fixed smile on my face and had giggles of joy coming out of me like a little kid the WHOLE time, especially everytime I got air going over bumps at fast speeds. "Beep beep, get outta my way daredevil Yvette's coming through!!!"(Snowmobiles don't have horns, but mine should have!)

The tour guide dudes were great and very enthusiastic and made the whole experience even better. I will do this again some day soon.

Now, on days when I am feeling down, I will visualize myself on a snowmobile in Lake Tahoe racing down a trail and I'll feel better.

Very professional tour operators, realiable machines, and a phenomenal trip. This is the total package if your looking to take a snowmobile trip while visiting Lake Tahoe. You can do a custom trip or go with the group trip. The group trip is fantastic, I did the 2 hour run up to the top of Mt. Watson at 8,500 feet. The views you see in the pictures are from the top and a picture just cant do it justice. Its absolutely unbelievable to see a sweeping view of Lake Tahoe. Enjoy!

Great location, good value - Gary (guide) was awesome.   The views are spectacular with great trails - it was a blast!!  $110 for singles, $140 for doubles - a good deal.

Went to Jason's  in King's Beach right after, tasty burgers and beers.

First timers  - be sure to let your guide know you haven't done it before so you can practice leaning in turns and take your time when you first start out to get comfortable.  One person tipped the snowmobile over and had some damage she had to pay for - the other person lost control and ran the machine into a tree!!  Keep your distance from the snowmobile in front of you so you don't ram into them but also so you don't taste their gasoline fumes the whole time.

I tagged along with my cousin, his wife and her girlfriend on New Years Eve day. i had never gone snowmobiling and they don't ski and didn't feeling like gambling. Laura had made reservations for a private tour. When we drove up to the driveway, a rep was there to greet us, checked us in by last name and directed us to park. Along the way were several reps giving us directions. They were busy - spring like conditions. It took us forever to decide what we were going to wear and take with us. We checked in, signed the waivers, gave our credit cards to the gentleman with smoke-colored teeth to hold on to. Our guide "Dave" from Michigan waited patiently and strapped us in our helmets. He told us we were lucky to have signed up for a private tour instead of the 20+ person tour we were behind. Dave gave us the instruction on how to start the mobile, how to accelerate, how to stop, steer, lean in and out of turns and how much it would cost if we wrecked the vehicle. Great. Let's go. The lake views on the main track were great. We stopped for many photos. Alas he thought we should proceed to single track, which was even more exhilarating. I think I clocked almost 50 miles on the mobile. After 2 hours of riding, we were sun burned and ready for a cocktail. I would return again. The entire operation was classy!

We had SO much fun snowmobiling!!!  Our first tour was cut short because a couple ran into a tree (they admitted to not paying attention around a turn) so we returned the next day for a super fun adventure.  Both guides on the first day were very professional and handled the accident extremely well - they had to call in EMTs, help get the couple out of the tree, and get our entire group back safely all at the same time, which they should be commended for because they did it very well and calmly.  The guides on the next day were also super professional, and even told the group about the previous accident to express how important it is to pay attention, etc. and they didn't try to cover anything up - if anything they were honest and down to earth, expressing very plainly that you are responsible for your own ride and need to use common sense.  They were a great pleasure to be on the tour with and were smart guys.  The tour is gorgeous and entertaining - and led wisely and professionally from start to finish.  We were impressed and would recommend this tour to anyone seeking a fun adventure - just pay attention around those turns and hang on tight - it's a blast!!!
