What a great shop! Super friendly people. The woman who owns the shop was very helpful and careful about packing our items. Her mom is also there to help once in a while and is very sweet!
This store is located in the Raley's shopping center - closer to the Starbucks. It has seasonal holiday items such as Halloween and Fall plus the year round Christmas items. There are so many different ornaments here - not the typical "Tahoe 2009" kinda stuff either!! Plus table top decorations, trinkets and jewelry - just so much that you can spend a lot of time looking at everything! You have to make at least two passes around the store to see everything!
This time around I found old tyme ribbon candy ornaments and was ready to purchase 2. Then DH found a new addition to our collection - that I just walked pass! DH found a Santa Cookie Jar - beautiful face and round belly and in his hand was a working bell to ring if the cookie jar was empty! ADORABLE!! We bought it!
Thanks to LT Holidays for a great souviner that will always remind us of our trip to Tahoe this year!

I love Christmas. Working in retail for almost my whole life I have accepted that Christmas starts… Read more »
I just got a postcard from these people today. If you are a Bay Area brat (i.e. you have more cash than you know what to do with) who likes to jaunt up to Tahoe for snow fun or sun fun and/ or you just can't help yourself from decorating, have I got a place for you!!!!
All joking aside this place has "oh my gosh!" cuteness written all over it and honey, if you like to add a little pizzazz to your abode in every season this is your place. If you have a friend who loves ornaments, trinkets and tchotchies, come here. You will find a decades worth of presents to give. Me and my partner in crime, Dani, hopped in here on a whim in the middle of February. We found PLENTY of afforable stuff suitable for St. Patrick's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween and ornaments for Christmas and all of the above holidays. They also have those multipurpose-multiholiday wire frame "trees" to hang the ornaments on!!! Wait you've never heard of a mutipurpose-mulitholiday wire frame tree?!?!? Good. Neither did I until I came here.
The cozy environment instantly transports you to happiness and nostalgia because with the exception of hanging lights in an assorted number of places*, holiday decorating is a fun project. It doesn't matter what holiday, as this business promotes just about every occassion under the sun. Every hook, every surface, every limb of display trees hold something sparkly or whimsical under them. The people who work there have always been nice to us but that might be my friend's ability to justify her large purchases on early present shopping. Of course, during the winter months, this place goes nuts with festivity. But really rest assured. This place has memory makers in all styles and price ranges. Hooray!
*hanging lights--a horrific trial and error project that tests the very sanity of any human being if heaven forbid something go wrong like I don't know say in the range of a few bulbs going out to "damn it, the tree's catching fire!"(screamed into phone); eventually a compromise with the lighting gods seems to work out. Sites for the project include but are not limited to: ceilings, trees (outdoor and indoor), windowsills, ledges, roofs, any potential site for an oops--you get the idea.
This is such a cute little store. They happened to have an a little pink box with an angel on the bover that I picked up for my mom for Mother's Day here. Their theme is having Christmas decorations all year round, but they also have stuff for other holidays too when their respective seasons roll around. Things seemed reasonable priced and it's just neat to walk around and look at all the interesting items they have.
