I've been a customer of Lake Shore Cleaners for five years and have never had a single problem. Maybe their English isn't up to par for some, but it's a second language, so gimme a break. If you're going to take something pricy and beaded to the cleaners, use some common sense and get a recommendation from a friend. For minor alterations and basic laundry, they are fast, friendly and reasonably priced.

I wasn't trying to be mean either.

just realized i never updated...on three separate occasions i was told the owner would be in the store between ? and ? and i should come by...on three separate occasions said owner did not show...when i tried calling the owner (not the store) 2x there was no answer and no option to leave a message---i was refunded the price of dry cleaning but not for damages

***its been my experience that its usually not often that women are dry cleaning expensive fancy dresses...this is mine and christinas way of 'recommending' other women/men to think twice before bringing valuable clothing here

i dont think that were naive...accidents happen...but myself and christina too (i believe from the tone of her review) were most offended because they tried to place the blame on us instead of admitting something had gone wrong on their end...if they had so much as even apologized i probably would have returned as a customer albeit with a less valuable article of clothing

Yep,

I have to agree with Beth.  This place is right around the corner from me and would be convenient, but I now believe that one must find a drycleaner they trust not to ruin their clothing.  
Firstly, they dont really speak english very well, (I'm not trying to be mean) so it is hard to describe what you need done to your clothes.  Secondly, I had a dress drycleaned there that I only got to wear once, and they completely destroyed it.  The dress was discolored and beadwork fell off.  It seemed that they knew they ruined my dress, but wouldnt do anything about it.  The place is awful.  Go somewhere reliable.
