I am and have been member of this club for many years and have visited all of the other clothing optional facilities in NorCal at one time or another, including Harbin Hot Springs in Middletown, Sequoians in Castro Valley and Lupin near Santa Cruz.  Each location offers it's own unique charm, but Laguna is thebest of them by far.

Being in the Valley, it's almost ALWAYS sunny and hot at Laguna from ate spring to early fall.  The people are friendly and grounds are lush and green.  There also an active events schedule, if you like to be involved. There are 3 pools (one for volleyball only) and 1 indoor are clean.  There's also a hot tub and conversation pool,  a lake (a real lake), restaurant & bar, a lending library, a volleyball court, shuffleboard & horseshoe courts, a workout room, a picnic/BBQ area, a sauna, a couple of coin laundry and shower facilities, a billard room and FREE wi-fi throughout the resort.  There are also camp/RV sites, condos, motel type rooms and park trailers for rent.  You can also rent an RV/trailer space for very little money and the resort will haul out your trailer (not RV or 5th wheel for you) and put it on your rental site before you get there.  There's also a small lake and a short walk (which you can do in the nude takes you to the Consumnes River.

It really doesn't get much better than this in nude recreation.  Check it out!

Having only previously been to Black's Beach in San Diego, we didn't have very high expectations for a "resort" out in the middle of nowhere. I figured it would be some rundown old campground with a single pool and maybe a shabby clubhouse. Well I was wrong. Very wrong.

Laguna Del Sol is one of the most relaxing vacation spots I've been to, full stop (including Hawaii). It handily earns its "resort" moniker and then some. The grounds are green, pretty and teeming with life and the facilities are very well maintained, including four major pools (one indoor), several jacuzzis, a gym, a game room (billiards, ping pong), a remote gazebo with hammocks, a huge lake with free use of paddle boats, a full-service restaurant, a modern clubhouse, bar and dance floor and tons more.

It's impossible to do the place justice with mere words, but suffice it to say that we're convinced. We've had some of the most relaxing times in recent (and non-recent) memory here, including meeting overwhelmingly friendly people, floating on the lake or just chilling out alone in the hammocks. The grounds are expansive so it's easy to get away if you want, or to stick around the main pool where most people congregate in the summer.

The camping facilities are as good or better than any other campgrounds you'd find in California, including full hookups. There are hundreds of spots, many of which are on the shore of the lake. We've tent camped twice with success, though that becomes less feasible as summer comes to a close.

The quick summary: try a weekend day at Laguna during the summer just to get away and relax. There's a good chance that you'll also become enamored and spend your weekends away in a not-so-distant version of paradise.

To quote from their website:

"This beautiful, clothes-free resort offers a great escape from the stresses of everyday life.  Laguna del Sol is located just 20 miles from Sacramento, and, yet seems a world away. The 25 acre lake and surrounding nature trails are home to all kinds of birds and animals. The facilities at the resort are all modern and first class. They include a restaurant, clubhouse-lounge, tennis and volleyball courts, 3 pools, 2 spas, and fitness center."

The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, and the main pool is spectacular.  Come and work on your all-over tan.  There is also a restaurant that is open most of the year.

This is a great place to get away from all the stress in your life and relax...

This place is great. Totally clean and very well taken care of. Plenty of space and areas to relax and enjoy yourself. I disagree about the people being snobbish, I think there is a difference between a community and someone showing up for an over-nighter to check the place out. I've been several times and I see where someone could feel a bit left out, but I've also started conversations with tons of great people and had nothing but pleasant experiences. If the people were a problem I never would have returned. It is always a great trip, just remember sunscreen!
