Specialties

Leave the cutesy kid stuff behind. I specialize in bringing out the allure and sensuality in my female subjects. Lana Turner, Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth, Eartha Kitt. Those weren't little girls playing dress up, but REAL WOMEN who knew how to use what their mammas gave 'em.

Don't worry ladies...I like to have fun during a shoot. We'll get to know each other while I do your hair and makeup. And hopefully I'll stop running my mouth long enough to take a few photos. All the while you'll be serenaded by a sensational samba or some cool jazz from the '50's. Mood music will enhance the experience of being transformed into a timeless temptress from the past. I have an extensive collection of fine vintage lingerie and shoes. And the authentically detailed props to match.

So if you are interested in being photographed as a truly vintage vivacious vixen then I am the man for the job. Check out more of my work at my website and email me for more details and my rates.

History

Established in 1995

Art has been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember. In an effort to avoid the "starving artist" fate of most creative people I decided to study architecture. After doing a slide presentation for a class I realized that a camera wasn't as difficult to use as I had always feared.  Soon after I changed my major.

Later I met a beautiful dancer whom I wanted to photograph. As fate would have it she was a Bettie Page fanatic and wanted to do some shots in the same style. I just wanted to photograph her so I went along. Some shots were eventually published in Tease! magazine. At the time there was a big "Retro" revival.  I  started doing research on 50's photographers, models, actresses, and decor in an effort to get the right feel. I also began collecting vintage lingerie and gathering the right props to make my work look as authentic as possible. My approach is as a photographer of that time using the tools of today.

Meet the Business Owner: Mark L.

Growing up as an only child in New York City I had to rely on my own imagination and creativity much of the time.

And of course there was television. Back in the 70's, before the glut of cable channels, free tv was full of old movies playing morning, noon, and night. Most of them in black and white.

I remember the television always being on. So as I drew pictures with my crayons or built my cardboard rocketship in the living room, images of Dorothy Lamour and Virginia Mayo (usually co-starring in a Bob Hope movie) were flickering in the background.

As I grew older I developed an interest in things like film noir, jazz, and graphic design. And an appreciation for "girlie" photography of the late '50's and early '60's.
