Want sleek, fabulous, hair?  Patrick is your man.  I went to see him for a new hair color, and wasn't sure I was ready for a big change.  He gave me a hair treatment that made my color (brown hair with natural highlights) richer and my hair super-duper shiny.  I LOVE IT.  His recommendations were right on target, I'm definitely going back.

The salon space is totally cool, a loft like style with huge mirrors for him and Lulu, and a warm, homey feel to the place.  Fantastic!

Lulu is amazing.  To watch her cut hair is like watching a gifted painter or sculptor do their magic and create something amazing from nothing.  Her gift of knowing exactly what a client needs and giving them the beautiful finished product that THEY can do on their own when they leave her shop is amazing.  She is truly a miracle worker with hair !!!!!

I have been seeing Lu Lu for 15 years. I have followed her from salon to salon. I have difficult to cut very curly hair. I live in NYC now and get stopped all the time by curly headed strangers wanting to know who does my hair. I still go to Lu Lu now even though I am here in NYC and am loving her new salon very posh and exclusive feeling. She charges the ridiculous low price of $85.00 for a haircut. So go get your hair done before she figures out we would pay her double to cut our hair.

They're both awesome and the atmosphere is completely chill, as if you're getting a cut at an awesome salon "after hours". Highly recommended!

I'm a little hesitant to tell you about Lulu.  She is SO good, everyone I've already told has been thrilled with their "lulus" (one friend goes every 3 weeks because he's addicted to the compliments he gets on his hair) and I don't want to shoot myself in the foot in terms of being able to get an appointment.

But because I love her so much, and am so happy for her success (and yes, because I care about the hair of the community), I'll tell you.

It's such a pleasure to meet someone who has so much passion for what they do, who has an opinion but also listens to yours.  She's plugged into what's trendy but isn't bound by it.

She did wonders with my mother's Shirley Temple hair, and has been cutting my sister's and my hair for years.

Was searching for a new stylist closer to home.  Found Lulu on Yelp, and thought I would try it.   What a great great haircut.  My hair is some curly/frizzy, with some wavy bits, quite fine.  My only instruction was to keep it at least at my jaw line, and Lulu gave me a fab, flattering, cute  cut.  I waited a week to review as I wanted to see how a few days of my own maintenance would work out. And I still love it.  So glad I found Lulu on Yelp. Thanks for sharing her:)

I love Lu Lu and have been going to her for almost 2 years,  my husband also goes to her and loves her.  She is truely talented and I have taken many risks with my her.  She takes her time, and styles my hair beautifully.

I just used Patrick for the first time, he is amazing.  I love my color and I always look forward to going to Lab 1479 since the atmosphere is so serence & cool. Lu Lu & patrick serve tea & dainty cookies in fun cups.  I feel like a new woman when I leave..

I declare publicly my love for Patrick.  No one has ever, EVER styled me the way he does.  I'd go to Timbuktu so that he could work his magic.  Now that he and Lulu have a place to call their own they make sure to make you feel pampered and welcome.  It's a lovely space with lovely people creating lovely hairdos.  Hairdos?  Does anyone use that term anymore?

There are many salons in the Bay area and this is like no other.  Lulu cuts my hair and Patrick colors - two people who can't be compared to any others in the city.  First of all when you walk in, you don't expect what comes next. You are greeted at the door after you ring the little bell by either Lulu or Patrick and they escort you to the changing area. The first thing you notice is the beautiful scent that lightly decorates the environment. Once you are changed into your comfortable robe, you go up a few stairs to see the most incredible space!  The ceilings are HUGE and so are the smiles on all the customers faces. You are offered a choice of wine, coffee, water, tea or soda and sometimes - they even have snacks!  I went for the wine (it was after noon for cryin out loud!!) and it was given to me in a beautiful glass on a silver tray.
Lulu had me explain my needs and concerns about my hair and offered me a few tips. Once the cut was half way through, I knew I was going to love it.  I asked Patrick for something funky and he did exactly what I asked for with precision and attention to detail. Lulu did my blowout and my hair looked like it came off of the cover of the hottest magazine in town - PERFECT.  If you are looking for a duo that has not only creativity, passion and the desire to make you look your best, look no further than LAB1479!!!
