I've been on a La Quinta streak for the past four nights, and this one is by far the nicest in the Orange County area.
Not an 'Open Air' establishment, this La Quinta reminded me more of a Holiday Inn Express. With fast wired internet access and clean rooms I really have nothing to complain about after a long day of work.
The breakfast was decent too. A comfy place to stay if you happen to be in the neighborhood.
I was really hesitant to stay here just because of last La Quinta Manhattan experience but it was the only hotel in the area so...
It is in a decent location close to a lot of restaurants and Knotts Berry Farm. The room was relatively clean and the breakfast had more variety than the other La Quinta.
Our TV didn't work and we didn't get enough towels in the room. The price was pretty much in the middle of the road.
If you want an average hotel and you don't plan on staying more than a day or two, go here. Otherwise, go somewhere else if you're looking for something more luxurious. We picked this place because my cousin doesn't live far from it and that's the only other place we were headed.

I've stayed several times on Hotwire stays while working in Cypress. It comes up as a 2.5 star in the Buena Park - La Mirada - Cerritos area, with amenities of free breakfast, fitness center, pool, business center, laundry, internet, golf nearby, tennis nearby.
It has free parking, free high speed internet, and free not-too-gross hot and cold breakfast, including scrambled eggs and breakfast sausage patties or bacon. Not much in the way of fruit and no hot cereal.
Air con/heater is the medium noisy kind that projects into the room by the window. Rooms are fairly quiet and clean. In room coffee and ironing board. No in room safe. HBO. Good lighting and 4 AC receptacles by the work desk. Digital thermostat. Good lighting in the parking lot.
I chose this recently over the close by Desert Palms in Anaheim and Knott's "resorts," though they are more highly star rated and somewhat less expensive

The dumb double closet doors as a bathroom door threw me off right away. It's fine if you are just going to crash into bed. The mattress is stiff but okay and lots of pillows. Very low quality bedding. The television is not in good working condition. The location is very good as far as stuff to eat around. It's in the middle of a business complex. The breakfast isn't good at all. The gym is mostly outdated broken equipment. The staff has been very nice. The Internet is wired in the room with a very short cord, wireless is only on the 1st floor. You may want to ask for a room on that level. The hotel is fine for a short stay or if you really don't care too much. Meh....
